Unexpected Snow, Trudging through a Montana Backpacking Trip

I recount a recent backpacking trip in Montana, which did not go according to plan due to unexpected snow and challenging trail conditions. Despite the difficulties, I had an adventure that was epic and beautiful, with stunning views of snowy peaks and fog-filled valleys. Follow along the backpacking trip as I change my original plan and find a campsite in a lower elevation to escape the snow. I share my experience of trudging through snow, crossing swollen creeks, and navigating rocky and washed-out trails. I concludes his trip with a successful return to the trailhead, feeling accomplished and grateful for the adventure. This was in the Spanish Peaks Wilderness in Montana in June.
