I like how the sense of friendship and brotherhood is still there, even when you are competing.
This channel is quickly becoming indispensable to my mental health. Putting it on while Im at work, Koa's peaceful vibe, the serene sounds of the ocean and the thrill of surfing really help calm my headspace. I dont know why that is but thank you Koa!

@@jmj3391Koa was heads and heads was what came up. The winner of the flip gets to make the call but Nathan told him that he was heads so he goes first, Koa lost by winning. I don't think it was intentional just a morning fog mistake.

You made the comment about how do they judge a good day vs a bad day? I'm no professional and I do not know the official answer, but I would think you judge each day on its own merit. A deep barrel on a 12-foot perfect day would get you a 10 but I feel that a scratched, sloppy barrel and forced off-the-lip on a 6-foot sketchy day should grade a 9 plus if a surfer squeezes out the best a wave has to offer compared to all the waves of the session.
Just my opinion, but I would like to know how Pipe judges deal this this situation.

Dude, honestly, I've been subbed for the past 5 years and you absolutely CHARGE, but technically speaking and competition-wise you've been flatlined since day one. Very little to no improvement both from a technical standpoint and apparently mentally too. I'm just a kook on the internet, sure, but to me it's literally infuriating to see how many opportunities get squandered each session just because you can't be bothered to even put in effort. Look at that Rocky session... couple decent turns in a whole session, one's flat, one's late, one's bogged...If there's ALWAYS something wrong, chances are, it's you. To each his own obviously, but to me it's like having a Lamborghini and deliberately choosing to only ever do the speedlimit 🤷♂
