18:52 School's out! Also, you weren't lined up properly because you corrected for magnetic declination when you don't need to. The MiG-19 has a gyrocompass, which aligns to true north. If you're lining up for runway 07, you set your compass bearing to 070 and that's it.
Looks like it.
Without wishing to patronise you, you can freeze track-ir at a particular point with the F9 (default) key. This is extremely useful when trying to operate controls behind you. To unfreeze, just press F9 again. You can tell it has frozen because the lights on the Track-IR receiver go red. Again, apologies if this is trying to teach you something obvious! I have only just got back into DCS and I am thoroughly enjoying your videos.
Affirm, sadly I have open track at the moment.
@@grimreapers You can still freeze that. I'm using TrackHat which uses a modified version of Open Track.
Man, Oh Man, I am so glad you put this out. Great info. Love this Vid. THANK YOU!
Keep up the great vids Cap! Love you guys!
Its June 2020. And I'm just now learning to fly the mig19 . Love your videos.
Has that the issues been fixed from early release to now? With the radio compass mode.
will investigate
How can you tell if a beacon not on a runway is near or far NDB because on an approach its obvious
I've been using this all wrong for some time now... seems they switch the TLG/TLF setting. Now to receive morse you need to have ARK set to TLG!
OK it's even weirder; TLG is used for morse, BUT you let's say you are looking for 589mhz. You will find one @ 590 (with 591 & 589 hitting it too) and get morse when you are in TLG mode. So far so good. HOWEVER, you will not find the 589 beacon, but another one, according to the morse (this is correct). When you then use the TLF mode, you CAN tune into that actual 589 beacon, but no morse is available... weird!
