Dave the thing with crooked cook is that you use it with astral koriboh in defense mode and you basically have an invincible monster that’s only weakness is either kaiju or piercing battle damage

Cook Stall has you summon Crooked Cook using Right Hand Shark as material, making it indestructible by battle. Then you just use it to stall out for Exodia or Final Countdown
You bull shark summon right shark right shark from deck right shark makes it so battle damage can't kill it. Crooked cook in now a card that you xyz summon in defense mode and is immune to all effects and can block infinite creatures without dying. The only work arounds are Kaiju and Piercing/direct damage. The deck never plays another card while cook is out and just draw, discards, go until exodia.
You actually came close to playing against Cook Exodia in Master Duel during one of your older streams a month or two ago. When you had a room open for viewers to duel in. I ended up facing against it and won via Burn Damage. Ironically I was running a back row heavy Red-Eyes Control deck. With all of the cards required for the Inferno Fire Blast FTK. So it was basically two degenerate decks going at it. XD
In regards to Number 86 is there a way to either put more materials on it every turn or fulfil the requirement of removing the material you need to at the end of your opponent's turn but remove it from somewhere else?
Okay, so I play Exodia but I like to play the bad version I dub "Battle Exodia." Basically using a combination of the Fruit Magician Girls, Exodia Obliterate and Treasure Panda to hopefully gain control of the match, put most of the pieces in the grave and win with Exodia Incarnate. Would people still hate me just cuz it has the chance to win by default, even though that's not the game plan?
I actually play Crooked Cook Exodia. I’m sure lots of people have pointed this out already, but if you use a card like Right Hand Shark, Left Hand Shark, or Astral Kuriboh as material, it makes it so Crooked Cook can’t be destroyed by battle or card effects. So if you control no cards, you summon Crooked Cook in Defense using one of those cards as material, and then you get a Crooked Cook that’s uneffected by your opponent’s card effects and can’t be destroyed by battle. So the only way around it is Kaiju-esque monsters, burn damage, or piercing damage. Most of the time, your opponent can’t out it. But by golly, they’ll fry. “What if I non-target?” Nope! Uneffected by your opponent’s card effects. “What if I banish it?” Nope! Uneffected by your opponent’s card effects. “What if I summon a token to your field? Then you have cards! Haha!” Nope! Quick effect, destroy that token, give my Cook 300 ATK (not that that matters), and now…uneffected by opponent’s card effects. “What about Skill Drain? Gotcha! Now your effect is negated! Hahahahahaha!” Um…U-N-E-F-F-C-T-E-D It just boils down to a stupid card that degenerate decks can get over, but most meta decks can’t. And I know what you’re thinking, “Well, that’s annoying, but if I deal with it, it’s done.” Nah bro…it’s at 3. And Pi Reis Map makes sure you can get to something that can summon it. It’s stupid. It’s real stupid.
I was playing in the traps & monsters only event in Master duel with a loaner deck (because they weren't horrible to use), I got crooked cook stalled & they exodia'ed me, I don't know or remember how I couldn't attack over Crooked cooks' 200 defence, but I couldn't, like the game showed the blue barrier that appears when you attack & you couldn't destroy the card. I reported the person & blocked them because I was so annoyed at that
You couldn't destroy them because cook players summon him with either astral Caribou or right hand shark. Both Monsters make him immune to battle destruction
Crooked Cook with Right-Hand Shark is the annoying part of #1 there. Can't destroy it in battle or do anything to it. At the same time, however, it's super easy to tech against: run 1 copy of Pentestag and bring on the Piercing!
7:00 I just use Buster because of how many blue-eyes decks were going around in duel links. Granted master duel and the tcg are pretty different to duel links so I don't use it as much in master duel.
I met alot of players that can summon 3 monsters in the first round and they all heavy hitters I remember one was like 6000 hit points it was unbelievable as an old player who been having a hard time getting a good deck it still isn't enough because it takes Time to develop my cards plus they got this spider or harpies that can remove all monsters off field leaving me in a unplayable position so I just surrender most games because its unfair they prevent me from playing in rookie and bronze
Honestly I played against a Drytron Herald Deck on master duel this week and they Negated me 7 times on turn 1. I was playing Zombie Grass Eldlitch and every card in my hand was a starter.
I actually had two FUN losses against Exodia. 1) The opponent was playing some weird Blue-Eyes Toon Dragon engine. I forget how it worked, but it used a Blue-Eyes card to get the Toon, then mainly ran Toon support to draw everything. I just imagined Seto Kaiba learning about a Blue-Eyes Toon Dragon/Exodia hybrid, and how infuriated he'd be. 2) Maxx 'C' challenge. Actually just saw a YT video of this one.
Deep Draw or Dragon Draw Exodia. It uses cards like Toon Table of Contents, Cards of Consinance, White Stone of Legend and Trade-In to draw through the entire deck.
I disagree with his assessment. A turn 1 with 5+ Omni negates literally is a negate per card. That means you are basically playing without a hand. Savage alone can have easily 4 counters, meaning 4 negates.
Astral koribo as material for cook makes him in destructible ... You leave him as the only monster and wait till you draw exodia... Soo yeah monster than can't be removed or destroyed and you wait .. Kaijus is the only and I do mean only way to remove him from the feild ...
I feel like alternate win conditions are cool when they are a challenge to achieve, like Destiny Board or F.A.’s or even Horakthy (I have no idea how to spell it), but Exodia is just boring and dull to fight against.
Good thing we have freaking Lightning Storm and Raigeki at 3 to literally obliterate the barrier statue stuffs. Ah yes, maybe side in some Dark Holes and Lightning Vortexes in just in case.
7:00 I think the reason people hate Buster Lock is because “Oh… Dragons have so much support. It’s the best type in the game. Dragons are OP and everyone wants to be a dragon.” And then Buster over here is like “No.”
I once had an Op that summoned a 4 Mat Appollusa and put POWER OF THE GAURDIAN on it. So I forced out 2 negates, the second negate being Psi-reflector. (from the deck with Emergency Teleport) I had nothing else to do except...Tribute Psi-Reflector for Vanity's Fiend and proceed to beat the shit out of Apollousa for several turns. Finally I draw Lyla, Lightsworn Sorceress to pop the equip spell. The game was all mine after that
One time in Master Duel, I got Rhongo'd, I had Maxx "C", AND I happened to be playing Tindangles! During his combo, he negated an effect that he didn't need to with the Gossip Shadow, so it was only 4 materials. I then proceeded to combo on him with Tindangles a couple turns later, and OTK him with Stairs of Mail to flip all my dudes up, Dholes, Jhrelth and Angel to get the dudes, and Dholes, Gergonne's End and Nagel's Protection for the damage. If you want to see the replay, the ID is 233-354-736 and the replay is against Wanderer.
Part of me wants to go to a locals with like... My toon deck or whatever and just run exodia IN it? Like just make a 45 card deck and just have a chance of winning the lottery. I wouldn't top, but if it happens once I'm a god.
i got back into yugioh for the first time since synchro and the first deck master duel put me up against is solitaire drytron so i deleted the app and downloaded duel links instead
I just don't agree with "play yugioh the way everyone else is playing it" or at least I got that feeling when he was complaining about Burn FTKs, yes they are annoying but other gimmick decks deserve to exist that also alter how you would normally play yugioh unless you want everyone to play the same fill the field with negates and see who gets lucky after doing 20 mins of comboing link summoning
3 or more negate, especially when all or most of them are Omni-negate is annoying too. You cannot assume players will get more than 2 board breaker every game, and sometimes their hand will thinner because in 1st turn, they use their handtrap but usually it's not resolve because they have good protection like Called by or easy access to Omni-negate before doing the main combo. . And then, combo today only required a few cards like 1-3 card combo. So, after they set up their big board, they still have some handtraps in their hand. . But I cannot blame the players, it is Konami's fault. I hope Konami will prevent something like 1 card combo. Because combo deck already has easy access to extra deck with various good effects. It's not unfair if they still have something in their hand to disrupt their opponent when they have annoying and big monsters in their field.
Yeah i definitely agree with the exodia deck, never played the tcg and duel links and I've only been playing master duel for a few days then I got this ranked match against exodia deck and I have to stare at my screen for an entire 6mins until he drew all of his deck, not fun at all
I'm legitimately surprised that you didn't talk about handlooping because why would you care about your opponent having 6 cards in their opening hand as a going second player to defeat you, when you could just triple trishula + de-synchro all of your opponent's hand to the shadow realm
There's once a time at locals small tournament, this guy playing subterrors, pretty annoying deck. On duel 3 like a good Blue-Eyes player y bricket so hard and so him, when I already got all the pieces for a good otk I notice he was taking his time checking his hand and and shuffling... I didn't care tbh it was already GG. He pass, I brake his board, summon N100 with Dragublion for a nice 9k OTK I declare Attack and THEN HORN ANNOUNCES TIME UP. He won by merely one hit with Guru. Cook Stall has you summon Crooked Cook using Right Hand Shark as material, making it indestructible by battle. Then you just use it to stall out for Exodia or Final Countdown
Oh you're talking about Real life stalling and rule sharking 😂
XD
You summon crooked cook with an xyz material that makes it gain effect that crooked cook can't be destroyed by battle. Then after that wait for exodia
In regards to Number 86 is there a way to either put more materials on it every turn or fulfil the requirement of removing the material you need to at the end of your opponent's turn but remove it from somewhere else?
Okay, so I play Exodia but I like to play the bad version I dub "Battle Exodia."
Basically using a combination of the Fruit Magician Girls, Exodia Obliterate and Treasure Panda to hopefully gain control of the match, put most of the pieces in the grave and win with Exodia Incarnate.
Would people still hate me just cuz it has the chance to win by default, even though that's not the game plan?
I once ran two of the light attribute barrier statues in a blue eyes deck to slow down my opponents.
Hahahahahaha!” Um…U-N-E-F-F-C-T-E-D
It just boils down to a stupid card that degenerate decks can get over, but most meta decks can’t. And I know what you’re thinking, “Well, that’s annoying, but if I deal with it, it’s done.” Nah bro…it’s at 3. And Pi Reis Map makes sure you can get to something that can summon it. It’s stupid. It’s real stupid.
And that's why that new spellbound card is good for shit like that
Distracting your opponent by using the adjunct "__ussy" with every card: "I summon Kragussy in attack mode. Take that you Rothchussy!"
@@ertawanderer1062 yea, it was probably one of those cards, let's hope next time I encounter a similar strat I'll be more prepaired
@@TheRamblemanWhoSings just have underworld goddess in your extra deck and you'll be fine
@@ertawanderer1062 yea, I would have used it, but the loaner deck didn't have it, but that's my fault for using a loaner deck
@@TheRamblemanWhoSings loner decks are a fun idea but they really need to put in staples.
Crooked Cook with Right-Hand Shark is the annoying part of #1 there. Can't destroy it in battle or do anything to it.
At the same time, however, it's super easy to tech against: run 1 copy of Pentestag and bring on the Piercing!
0:45 Playing slow to win via Time Expiration.
2:38
Crooked cook synergizes with left hand shark and right hand shark. Astral kuriboh also is great with the cook
7:00 I just use Buster because of how many blue-eyes decks were going around in duel links. Granted master duel and the tcg are pretty different to duel links so I don't use it as much in master duel.
Fossil Dyna
Jowgen
Equip and Protect.
I love this waaaay more than omninegate piles.
also i play wall of revealing light to kill myself to stop half hour turns
oh and 13:54 is food wars? nice dub clip, shame I don't know the characters
For number 1, he probably doesn't know how to cook a turtle.
@@TheForeverRanger yup - that's it!
When is Potato Hand going to host an entire episode
What I did was use Mystic mine+Ojama duo and trio+ rivalry of warlords+ Time Lords/Cauldron of the old man.
I hate you for once I hate timelords and mystic mine when they come to together I going to hate it
FINALLY! A video where Dave knows what he's talking about!
I think a lot of the salt about buster lock is from when union carrier was legal and you could put that shit in anything.
Where did you get that hoodie?
6:22 hard disagree. Setting up a bunch of negates is just as unfun (in game 1). Games 2 and three BOTH people can side optimally for the match up.
I'd even argue it isn't fun in games 2 and 3 because it turns into "draw the out" if you don't get Droplets in your opening hand you're screwed
Right hand shark makes cook unable to be destroyed by battle
Where is True Draco Skill Drain?!
I like that he puts cook as the #1 degenerate strategy but doesn't know how it's used XD
I don't mind it. Then again I play Dark Magician mostly.
exodia is carried by its iconic status it can only be stall or ftk
I once had an Op that summoned a 4 Mat Appollusa and put POWER OF THE GAURDIAN on it. So I forced out 2 negates, the second negate being Psi-reflector. (from the deck with Emergency Teleport) I had nothing else to do except...Tribute Psi-Reflector for Vanity's Fiend and proceed to beat the shit out of Apollousa for several turns. Finally I draw Lyla, Lightsworn Sorceress to pop the equip spell. The game was all mine after that
The re-re-return of dave
My opponent in MD tried to end me with Barrier of Inferno an d I opened Lava Golem...they instantly scooped.
Decks that only care if your stuff is going off and disregards the opponent is degenerate Yugimans.
I love beating crooked cook with toons. Go ahead make him invincible, I'm not attacking him anyways!
You don't know how Crooked Cook lock works, but you've put it on the list aniway...nice👌

True Draco and Degenerate must always be used in the same sentence
Hate Mystic Mine all you want, I'm still grinning.
God I wish someone would love me...
The ghostrick and venomenaga cards are degenerate strategies
But flying elephant is fine
If you have to move land and soil for your alternative wincon, it’s all ok.
We don't talk about flying elephant
i got back into yugioh for the first time since synchro and the first deck master duel put me up against is solitaire drytron so i deleted the app and downloaded duel links instead
My favorite play right now is Buster lock with Cyberdark End Dragon.
Master duel has a kind of slow play the lag cheat aka make your opponent lag out to claim a free win and just auto loses your opponent
9:56 Normal summon Ultimate Tyranno
Where can I get that hoodie? 😂
Im a little surprised final countdown isnt number 1
Yeah i definitely agree with the exodia deck, never played the tcg and duel links and I've only been playing master duel for a few days then I got this ranked match against exodia deck and I have to stare at my screen for an entire 6mins until he drew all of his deck, not fun at all
Lmfao I lost it at getting ash blossomed with the feet one 🤣🤣🤣
Holy shit he's alive
I'm legitimately surprised that you didn't talk about handlooping because why would you care about your opponent having 6 cards in their opening hand as a going second player to defeat you, when you could just triple trishula + de-synchro all of your opponent's hand to the shadow realm
Game 1 magical explosion, game 2+3 self destruct button.
Also, i was part of the pojo community about self destruct button theme. Everyone agreed it should've been banned due to the abuse.
bro. you can to slow play in masterduel
So I guess we know what the next master dule stream is
Omggg I played against cooking stall at locals thats what made me run mine now
ooh so primal origin is next list? number 3 for that list gonna be easy.
The bedroom eyes🤣🤣🤣
There's once a time at locals small tournament, this guy playing subterrors, pretty annoying deck. On duel 3 like a good Blue-Eyes player y bricket so hard and so him, when I already got all the pieces for a good otk I notice he was taking his time checking his hand and and shuffling... I didn't care tbh it was already GG. He pass, I brake his board, summon N100 with Dragublion for a nice 9k OTK I declare Attack and THEN HORN ANNOUNCES TIME UP. He won by merely one hit with Guru. Then I noticed there was a timer on the screen right behind me.
You can now rule shark that your opponent smells and get them dq
Crooked cook turbo is not what you described
