The main reason she had to speak again was not just that she wanted to be heard, but also something crucial. When she moved to the USA and started to look for work, the employers used to ask her on those various reports in the news which were about that case of sexual harassment. Hence she had to come back again and say that yes she was harassed and nobody cared. NAna pottyker didn't even come in front of the camera to accept or deny any of the charges. He needn't had to hide if he weren't wrong.

Nana was not cleared by police, he was cleared by high court. If she felt betrayed by the Verdict she can take to retrial and even supreme court but none of them imply Nana had anything to do with it as the court case was on multiple people. So it's not clear if Nana was the guy that called the goons or it was the director of producer but somehow entire narrative became that Nana did it.
If they investigated on time, they could have got proofs.
