I have 100K KM on our 2020 Kia Soul EV limited, was ready to upgrade to Kia EV9, but dealer said it is by reservation only and likely 2 years. I wish Kia Canada would allocate much more for our market. In the USA it is easily purchased off the lot. Come on Kia, BC is a very EV province and we want the stock.

Don't believe their shit. US is overstocked with EV9. They just tell you that to hope for the gullible to pay for the markups

    First 🙃
We’re kind of waiting to see what the Hyundai version (Ioniq7? 9?) will be like… I’ve only seen it in it’s puffy jacket camo 😂

I test drove both the EV9 and R1S this week. I 100% agree with you about the one-pedal drive in the Rivian. If it had less aggressive regen (and CarPlay), it’d be an instant buy. As it is now, I’m stuck on the fence.

They do have a less eaten option out still one pedal. Not sure why they can’t just give an option to turn it off. Maybe it’s due to the weight and they don’t want to upgrade the brakes on the Rivian. Who knows.

Buy the r1s, the software once after a month, you will love it, especially with regular OTAs and possible streaming coming soon. Get the dual for better efficiency and regen

The only thing I would say is the suspension is too stiff when riding in the back. Otherwise, we love our EV9GTL.

Thanks for the input. I never rode in the back and the kids never mentioned it.

Beautiful vehicle but I really can't imagine people actually need this much space or would truly utilize it.

If you have 3 or more kids then yeah, you will need the space.

People with more than 2 kids. Families with an extended household -- I have a Palisade which has comparable interior layout to the ev9. With my wife, son, and parents it's the perfect vehicle for family trips. I imagine the ev9 would be the same 🙂

You definitely don’t have 2 kids riding horses 😂.

We are a family of five, which becomes seven when others come over from overseas to visit over the summer, so yeah I need all of it.
And no I don’t want a soulless sucking minivan. After almost a decade in one I’m not going back.

@@EverydayReviews2022 I hear you. I guess I just think that you and the other people replying are outliers. Most just want a big vehicle for whatever reason.
