Starting August 30, CHCH-TV is bringing this logo back! Slightly modified: it just says CHCH in the centre, but if you see the 'multi-coloured cloud" you'll recognize it right away!
i hope whoever would've acquired CHCH would do it--and channel zero finally did...CHCH will be sporting an updated version of that iconic flower logo starting monday (august 30)! bad news is, they've cut down on the "double feature" movies on primetime, because they're putting in a number of US TV shows on simulcast as well...though there'll still be one movie on primetime every weeknight...
@Keaster2000 that's true...although i'm not really expecting that to happen anymore for the big network-owned stations--especially those owned by the huge multimedia companies. maybe for those that don't belong to a network like, yeah, CHCH, CHEK in BC, or maybe even SUN TV...
@Keaster2000 Would be nice if they went all the way and did like the days of old... CHCH, TV 11. WPIX in New York went back to branding themselves as PIX11... no WB11, or CW11, or anything like that. Now, if only they can bring back some TV classics like in the former years...
I want to see more of the older Retro Shows on CHCH. Maybe, Car 54(Where Are You)/Ben Casey/Mannix/Room 222/Burns and Allen/Emergency/The Big Valley/Perry Mason...There's so much potential with all the great older programs available.
@mangdannyboy I'm glad the classic logo is back too, they seem to be taking 'baby' steps to re-vamping the program line up. I think local TV, unique for each market in the country is the way our boradcasters need to survive these days. Lots of local news may work for CHCH--like they say it is, but may not work somewhere else. Anyways, here's hoping Channel Zero is onto something and more local stations take notice.
"Serving Hamilton, Toronto and the Niagara Peninsula. This is CHCH-TV 11."

Bring back the old CHCH tv jingle
I remember hearing this intro bumper on CHCH TV 11 when I was a kid! Brings back memories of that time!
This is my childhood. Great memories. As dumb as that seems. But the music, the look, places I've been... awesome.
This actually used to scare me as a little kid. Maybe because it came on right before the equally scary Snelgrove The Snail...
Canadiana at its finest.

"The Big Valley" starting at 0:10 in the clip! Namely, "Miranda," the 18th episode of the third season.
CHCH is retrofitting the 80's logo for the Station overhaul starting on Monday August 30th

Does anybody know the name of the man who did the voiceover for TV11 in the 70s and 80s?
🤔Was his name Dan? Norm? Not sure which one you are thinking of.
@@sparklecanada0112 I want to say Norm McDonald
I always hated that CHCH and the other superstations on the CANCOM satellite were scrambled and unavailable to home dishowners in the USA.
I want to see more of the older Retro Shows on CHCH.

love it

Honestly, I think it would be great if Global would use the iconic flower logo with the Global script in it, just like its Calgary station did.
@mangdannyboy Yep, isn't it awesome news! Hopefully this sort of thing becomes trendy...
i want to hear the music only
