The most OVERLOOKED aspect of this game, was in the first minute of play. It WAS NOT Tatum getting injured, but a couple of seconds before that, where Al Horford gets the ball in the paint, with an undersized Martin in front of him (and a trailing Vincent behind) on him, and instead of powering over him for an easy shot....he passed it up to the corner where Tatum is.
That foreshadowed what the team was going to do the rest of the way.
THAT is why this team did not win, and will not win, until something in their belief system changes. That starts with the players, not the coaching. Coaching can set you up to succeed, but what's between your ears is what determines the manifestation of those plans. This team had the same inconsistencies with Udoka. The only CONSTANT have been the players, not the coaches. A good coach will help for sure, but the players are the reason that this team under performs, when they do.
This team needs some sort of leadership on the court when things get decisive, where the mind may shift from "Playing to win" to "Playing not to lose". In my opinion, this team hasn't had that since IT4 left.

The Celtics not handling adversity is Ludacris one they came back 30 to force a game 72 they made the NBA finals last year. The problem with the Boston Celtics is the same that they had last year. It’s Jo Missoula’s offense he continues to shoot nothing but threes Udoka last year used a lot of Jo’s office with the three ball shooting dad several chances to close the gap in game seven but they ran down a shot of three with no one getting sick no screens no movements of the ball or bodies. Jo doesn’t care about defense as much as Udoka did and that’s why they didn’t leave this round because last year they had the same problem we’re just shooting threes and trying to split the defense one on one and turning it over. It’s Missoula‘s offense that’s the problem

I can't believe it but when Nick isn't talking about LeBron. He is actually a good analyst. I agree with him 1000%. This isn't a fluke. It is the Heat culture. From Pat Riley, down to Spo and picking a hard-working no nonsense Superstar like Jimmy Butler.

Boston choked in Game6 and just saved by the put back of White.
and of course they choked at game 7. Even if Tatum didn't get his ankle rolled, it won't matter.
Butler has a bad wheel since the NY series, and he didn't use it even once as an excuse in their losses...
and Tatum used it at once after the game! there's the difference between the team's stars!

@@s_ame1135 I disagree. Pritchard can move the ball up court and distribute. Obviously he wouldn’t be a scoring threat. Just keep the offense in rhythm with ball movement. Tatum was pretty much done, couldn’t even use him as a decoy.

There was a time, through the 1984 season, when the Celtics were a virtual guarantee to win a Playoff Series, the ECF or the Finals. In addition to that, they were a dead certain lock to win any Game 7 in any Playoff Series at home. However, those glory days are long gone. Boston has won 1 Chip, 1987-2023. The Celtic's mystique ended, even before Larry Bird retired. 16 of their 17 Chips were won from 1957-1986. The Celtics, obviously, have been one of the best teams in the NBA the last 2 seasons and they had a nice run 2008-2010, winning 1 Chip but the real Glory Days of the franchise ended decades ago. It's not surprising anymore when Boston comes up short.

Now Question. Why in the world are we surprised by this? This heat team is the same team that was in the conference finals last year. The NBA finals the 2 years before after beating the Boston Celtics before to get there.
Next, this Heat team would take that Spurs team to game 7. Maybe even that 04 Pistons team.
