I was lucky enough to meet Tom and his wife, as I've done work at their home on numerous occasions. He was such a nice, down to earth, and very intelligent gentleman. Had to keep things professional, but I would have loved to ask him many questions about his many game shows he hosted.

I was fortunate enough to be able to meet Tom Kennedy and his brother, Jack Narz. Completely genuine, great men, totally respected and respectful. Tom had a laugh that echoed through Kentucky and a heart of gold.

You have to remember when Allen Ludden died in 1981, Tom Kennedy had to step into a very tough spot filling those big shoes Ludden left behind the year before and for the most part he did a pretty good job given the circumstances. He will be missed no question about it. RIP Mr Kennedy.

I think my earliest memory of Tom was watching SPLIT SECOND. My childhood and teenage years always saw him hosting a show I liked. And when WORDPLAY came along, he had my whole family watching. I hope God is showing him how much joy he brought to the world. Rest in peace, old TV friend😢

Well over 20 years ago I came up with a "Mount Rushmore" of game show hosts. I amended one host on it, but the 3 that were rock solid on that "Mount" were Bill Cullen, Bob Barker and Tom Kennedy. Cullen and Kennedy both had the type of personality that made you feel very much at ease and right at home. Mr. Barker is on said "Mount" for his 50 years in television. The 4th host at one time was Allen Ludden, but then I replaced him with Monty Hall, but then amended it again with another Canadian, the late, great Alex Trebek. Jeopardy! has to be without a doubt one of THE single most challenging and difficult games to host. Over 5 dozen clues in rapid fire succession, plus contestant interviews. Not to mention that Jeopardy shot 220 new episodes per year I believe vs. Wheel's 195. While Pat Sajak has hosted Wheel for much longer now (Began in December 1981 on NBC and September 1983 in syndication) than even Bob's 35 years on "Price", Alex's dedication, devotion and passion for Jeopardy really I believe gave him the will to live and to last as long as he did with his pancreatic cancer battle. His streak as Jeopardy! host of 36 plus years is far more amazing and far greater to me than even Lou Gehrig's streak of 2,130 consecutive baseball games played, even greater than Cal Ripken's 2,632 consecutive games played. Those guys only "worked" six months a year, Alex worked for 10 months a year, and I'm sure had to do a LOT of prep work for new seasons too.

In my opinion, Tom’s best game shows were Split Second, Name That Tune, and The (Nighttime) Price is Right.

Body Language was the first of Tom's shows I saw (never knew Kirk Fogg appeared as a contestant on it, as an aside) and even though I've gone back and seen quite a few, I still feel like I haven't been able to fully appreciate the true width of his expertise. A few of his best shows are unfortunately lost, especially Split Second, so those opportunities today may be limited.
Feeling like maybe watching some Break the Bank with him.

My favorite work of Tom Kennedy was his work on the 1985-86 nighttime Price Is Right. He was, I think, a classier host than Bob Barker, but Kennedy doesn't get the credit for being such a great host because he only did it for one season - a season that was dumped in bad timeslots.

Tom Kennedy never hosted a game show by Bob Stewart-Sande Stewart productions.
