I worked with Tom on two different game shows back in the 70's. I did cue cards for the shows and had a wonderful time working with him. I was in my 20's at the time and I remember a party he hosted at his home for all of the cast involved with his shows. I wasn't sure how to get home after the party was winding down. Tom overheard me and walked me out to his front porch, pointing out the streets I would need to take. Such a gracious and kind man. One of the best in the game show business!
I had the pleasure of meeting both Tom and Jack at Game Show Congress. Both kind and gracious gentlemen and two of my favorite game show personalities.
Tom Kennedy hosted ``Dr. IQ'' ``Split Second,'' ``Break The Bank,'' ``50 Grand Slam'' ``To Say The Least'' ``Name That Tune,'' ``Whew!'' ``Password Plus,'' ``Body Language'' ``The Nighttime Price Is Right'' and ``Wordplay.''
1.) That’s a perfect & succinct description of Kennedy. 👍 2.) Something weird’s going on because Name That Tune came up w my folks today. I decided to look up an episode (it was from ‘77), and noticing his age THEN, I thought I’d look him up, only to find he had passed away only a few WEEKS ago! 😳 93?!! What a great, long life for such a seemingly solid guy. ✌️ RIP.

Kennedy is a classy and gracious man. Many game show hosts were egomaniacs like Richard Dawson and Gene Rayburn .
@@770WT I somewhat agree with you; I honestly think Gene played that way.
Beautiful interview! Thoughts and prayers going out to his family. RIP Tom Kennedy.
Always a great host. He seems like a genuine nice man. That's why he was so great. I miss his shows.

We have lost a truly talented and classy gentleman. Rest in Peace, Jim Narz (his real name). Hope you and Jack are hosting a few shows in heaven.
Tom still has a wonderfully rich voice that is perfect for radio or TV. This is a treat to hear him here.

Also the '60s run of "You Don't Say!"
@@BarrCode674 And the 70s ABC run as well.
Tom’s first game show was Big Game in 1956 on NBC. His last, Wordplay, was taped in the same studio.
God bless Tom, and his long life.
In an interview I read a couple of years ago that Tom hosted the nighttime Price Is Right in 1985 because Bob Barker made it look easy.
What a gentleman. Good to see him so hardy and sound of mind at his advanced age.
I love Tom he did such a great job on everything he was on. One note: You could maybe put a better thumbnail on this video.
Great TV host and fine gentleman...see the halo over his head!
Tom Kennedy was a true gentleman and was never bigger than the shows he was hosting .
Was?! Isn't he still alive today?!
@@wturner777 no he died this past Wednesday. It was just reported today
