My church owns a version of the Gamma TX6 lights, color mixing has been an UNBELIEVABLE advantage!
Color wheels are still useful, all the fixtures I own are basic color wheel spots, I MIGHT purchase a second pair of color wheel based fixtures, mainly because of their low size and weight.
At this point in my career, color wheels are the ire of my being. Unless budget is a concern, I avoid them like the plague.
The green on the CMY Robe Esprite is too dark compared to its Laser Green on its Colorwheel which is very bright and punchy. 🎉😊
Cmy is literally three colour wheels
My Spots have color wheels but every thing else that i have is RGB
The FUZE colors don't look as good color wise, at that close of a distance...
It's the camera settings. In person the Fuze would blow it away. I have used both and the new additive mixing spots are so much better for colors.
