Oh, BTW... In most languages I’ve heard, E is usually pronounced as “Eh. “I” is the vowel that usually is pronounced as “Eee.” This goes for all the Latin languages as well as Germanic (I believe.) Obviously dialects of English can go both ways, even though a “e” at the end generally will make an “e” pronounced as “Eee.”
Well-intentioned but far from accurate. The long press on the jog dial is for Pause/Play, hence why it will not fire up a music app. Somewhat amusing to see you working things out in the video. But try reading the manual or test the function multiple times before you decide to make an instruction video. If the Sena controls are too difficult (which they are) then just use Siri or Google voice commands - long press the phone button on the side of the Sena 20S and ask Siri or Google to play music, start navigation, or whatever. Much more flexible in terms of what commands it accepts. There is a downside though - Google assistant will not work without a reliable internet connection, which happened to me today and was not able to start music while riding. Hence why I searched for an alternative solution online and ended on this video. But I think I'll be sticking with Google assistant...
"Say a command" -> "Stereo" *BEEP* "Say a command" -> "Stereo Music" *BEEP* "Say a command" -> "Stereo" *BEEP* "CANCELED!" It is sooooooo damn annoying!
How do you skip/next song? It works great with my slacker radio on my Android phone. I just haven't been able to figure out how to skip to the next song.
there is one thing you need to about the iPhone:if you had video played recently on your iphone (youtube facebook etc)none of the hands free devices (bluetouth) wont be able to turn music on (play your music) even if you restart your iPhoneso the hands free device will only play music if had music playing on your iPhone beforebut lets say if went to facebook and saw a video, you watched it that's it it wont play your music. that's an issue that wasn't able to fix for many years nowit might by fine with an android
I have a 10c. Cant seem to play music on the speakers. Im connected via bluetooth. Can play the FM. I havent updated the firmware and not installed micro sd.
Sena 20s + BMW Navigator V1 - some of the most irritating, inconsistent motorcycles riding I have ever had... Three times, it’ll work perfectly, then the next ride, nothing is talking to anything - god it’s irritating...
Hey thanks for your help and insight. I could use a little help re mp3 to sena, from go pro direct audio and back again .i have managed to pair go pro direct audio and need to figure out getting back to mp3 as well. No phone or intercom as I have no need for them now. Thanks
New subscriber here. Just wanted to say hi from Michigan and tell you that I'm enjoying your videos. Just in case you're homesick, it's supposed to be 12° Friday morning!
Are the factory speakers hard wired or can they be unplugged and other speakers plugged in instead? I know the 20s comes with an extra ear bud jack but I don't plan on using the factory speakers at all (after reading reviews).
Hey. I have a Sena 10c Pro. When I turn it on, it auto pairs to my iPhone and a Sena SR10 (for my Uniden R3 radar detector. Running through latest firmware for the 10c. Thing is, it always starts playing music from my iPhone. It’s maddening. Would someone please tell me how to stop the music without disabling the Bluetooth? Thank you in advance!
Hi Bryan, I'm looking at getting the Sena 20C mainly for music because my earbuds are killing me (hurts my ears) on long rides. I've heard that these are not very loud or that they lack bass, what's your opinion of the bluetooth audio? Secondly, I'd like to be able to record audio for my GoPro using the Sena 20C, is this what you use for audio, or do you use a wired mike? Thanks again for the great video. Let me know if you ever make down south to Fort Lauderdale / Miami area, I know some great rides around here. Take care. Andy
This system is the classic example of the old saying....you can't put ten pounds of crap in a five pound bag. It seems SENA wants to provide it all but in doing so, it has made the unit just too complicated.
higher treble if you're trying to look for bass. I just got a 30K (same speakers) and love my bass, always used Klipsh or sennheiser earbuds, but these lack the boom and thump. Soundstage is great, left right stereo sound fantastic, but no booming bass.
It’s good enough for me during an around the town ride. Bass isn’t too heavy but at high rpm’s it isn’t loud enough. I turn it off during more spirited riding.
When u play music, I would be concerned about using an enormous amount of data usage & the cost associated w/that. However, it would seem to me that if ur playing music that has been previously downloaded 2 your phone, there would be no data drain & that would be a non problem? Do you agree w/that? Great video! Thanks! Subscribed.
+Tom Bousquet Streaming music doesn't use much data at all, I stream a lot and it doesn't use much with Apple Music. (I have high quality on cellular on)
Hi, thanks very much for your videos. This was good, but didn't realize that you didn't have an example of an android interface until the end..... lol, still the video was helpful.
W Smith There's no difference in the pairing or operation on the com side. The weirdness of how to start playing might be iPhone specific but that's it.

Helpful video..thanks..id love to know how to cancel or reduce the sound of beeps which is so louder than music hurting my ears
You're right about the instructions. I just downloaded the phone app and immediately was instructed to download an updated user's guide.
Well-intentioned but far from accurate.

You can press the bottom button to get voice command.
I have the Samsung 3 and it works fine the way you showed
John Sena
Tit titi tiiiii
what about pandora or the Sirius mobile app? How do you start those? Or streaming any other app?
I meant to say 'Hello SENA' as the example to initiate voice command.
Double tap the button at the bottom of the unit and it will go in voice command

+Michael Hollier Right now it's one or the other. You have to turn off the GP10 to hear mp3
That would explain it, thanks for your help..beers on me bro! Have a great day!!

Just so you know the Sena youtube channel pronounces is SENAH not seena...
Just so you know, they have done it both ways. ruclips.net/video/ILMM5uThcBI/видео.html

finding many great options but what's best for half helmets installation? Do we have to settle for lesser communications?
Yep
I tried to press the button for 1 second. But sdoesnt do anything. I have iphone 6s.
How is the music volume ate higher speeds like 60-70? I have a Bluetooth set up but the music is pointless past 55.
Excellent until I put in earplugs

Hey Bryan, what's this new Sena 20s with a built in camera you speak of. Don't see it on their website. Just curious.
thehexter1 I meant 10c not 20c www.sena.com/product/intercoms/10c/
Oh, the 10C! I was looking for a 20C or something like that. Wonder what they're gonna ask for that one!
I just use google services on my android and say "Hey Google" and it does everything very well.
Hahaha! If you go to the Sena website and watch some of their videos they say SEN-AH not SEE-NAH! ROFLMAO!!
LOL, this guy is an idiot...lol
Say what? They already have a new model? It's 2016, and I don't see anything newer than the 20S. Unless you mean the helmet? Help?
+Voltechs the 10s is the newest
+TwoWheelObsession whoa really? Huh... I thought the 10s was older. Is the 10s better?
+Voltechs compare them on the sena site
can you swap out the stock speakers and use your own in ear monitors with this Sena 20S?
Thanks for the video, very informative.
you can.
I have a pair of earplugs and they work grest
This system is the classic example of the old saying....you can't put ten pounds of crap in a five pound bag. It seems SENA wants to provide it all but in doing so, it has made the unit just too complicated.
Can you listen to music and talk on the phone with someone at the same time?
No - phone overides
Hi I just got mine... I've got the sensitivity on high and instead of tapping the device I just tap the side of the helmet twice
... Seems to work....
+ezykool when I put my visor down high will trip it. Quite annoying.
Is it difficult to raise/lower the antennae on the 20S with gloves on?
No super easy there is a tab
What's the sound quality like? does it has decent bass and treble etc?
higher treble if you're trying to look for bass. I just got a 30K (same speakers) and love my bass, always used Klipsh or sennheiser earbuds, but these lack the boom and thump. Soundstage is great, left right stereo sound fantastic, but no booming bass.
It's surprisingly bad in my opinion.
It’s good enough for me during an around the town ride.

I turn it off during more spirited riding.
where is the best place to order the sena 20s online and also what store sells them
+Dwight Mcclure Amazon? Free two day shipping.
+Dwight Mcclure WWW.revzilla.com
I'd recommend revzilla. they shipped mine from NJ to ga in 2 days and they price match so I got 44 and some change off of it. super easy process.
It's Sena, as in Ayrton Senna and as the company pronounce it; not seenar.
They say it both ways but thanks for the opinion ruclips.net/video/ILMM5uThcBI/видео.html
Any idea how to get it to launch pandora or another music app other than the built in app? I don't keep any music on my phone at all
It simply launches the last app that was using the audio, so just open whatever you want it to control first.
sweet, that's exactly what I was hoping you'd say
Super-Tactical.com You should be able to long-press the phone button and then ask Siri for whatever app - "play music in Spotify" works on my iPad
When i Talk the Music stops.
You are commenting on a very old video. Many things have changed.
Can you play music through another app like deezer or spotify with the 20s ?
Yes, anything
+TwoWheelObsession wow that was a quick answer ^^ Thanks!!
how do you share music with you passanger?
Push the jog dial for 3 seconds
When u play music, I would be concerned about using an enormous amount of data usage & the cost associated w/that. However, it would seem to me that if ur playing music that has been previously downloaded 2 your phone, there would be no data drain & that would be a non problem? Do you agree w/that? Great video! Thanks! Subscribed.
I didn't say stream. I only play local stored music
+TwoWheelObsession Thanks for the explanation. Your light years ahead of me on this stuff but I'm getting there.
I know companies are starting to offer free data for Spotify , Pandora , etc. I know T-Mobile does for me
+Tom Bousquet Streaming music doesn't use much data at all, I stream a lot and it doesn't use much with Apple Music. (I have high quality on cellular on)
+Freedom Rider Make a playlist for cruising. Hear the tunes you want to ride too. Safe riding......
Can I ask Sena to play a specific playlist? Also, does it still work with new Music apps and Apple's recommended playlists?
thanks
Guilherme Brum No, but you can ask Siri
Hi, thanks very much for your videos. This was good, but didn't realize that you didn't have an example of an android interface until the end..... lol, still the video was helpful.

When a person says "i'm not going to talk about those features" have you noticed they always do.
note 5 android. It worked the same way
Sena pronouncing is on their videos, you should what it
I guess you missed the vid from SENA a couple years ago where they go over how to pronounce it - and say it's both ways.
absolute junk. works fine (most of the time) for music with one person. Trying to hook up gps and another rider yeah good luck with that.
