I discovered this video by accident - what a find! I rented Wamco from Eddy Mortimer from the Victoria Day weekend until Thanksgiving for 5 seasons 1974 to 1978. In the summer of 1978 Eddy asked me to come over and see him at his mainland home and told me he was going "to make you an offer you cant refuse" . He said "I am land rich but cash poor. I'd like to have some cash flow income, so I'll sell you Wamco for $35,000, $10, 000 down and balance at simple interest 10%." (this was in the day of 20-22% interest 1978). I was very flattered he woul;d make this proposal but I told him I was in the midst of relocating to Southern Cailfornia and it wouldnt be workable to own a place in Canada. What memories we had! my best friend has told me his daughter was conceived on the boathouse dock under a full moon 😁. What great Muskoka memories!
My great-grandfather was William A Mackay. His daughter and her kids lived there, maybe 75 years ago. Planning a family reunion, does anyone know who owns the property now or if this is public access? Thank you,
