The North of Spain is the gift that keeps on giving, and there is so much more that the Picos, just surrounded by lovely small villages and great empty roads, you are brave to ride through that wet muddy stuff Sean!, what a great series this is Sean very well put together.
One of my brothers has every, and I am serious, EVERY single word of dialog memorized from "The Good, the Bad and the Ugly"! I saw a restored version of it with him several years ago and the theatre (?) was packed and and he kept calling me "Blondie" for several days after that. A great film and seeing it with so many other like minded folk was great fun. Thanks for that reminder, Sean! You are making (and sharing) memories and that is a large part of life. centuries ago most people were born, lived and died within a setting of a couple of hundred yards. Now we have so many ways to see the world, including motorcycles. Wow! SS deep in the Heart of Hades (commiefornia), USA!
Geat video and roads to explore whilst off roading on the BSA. Keep the hand guards as a reminder of the trip and making the BSA different from the rest. Thanks again, Bfn Mike Sunny Wales
Absolutely agree Sean it’s the most fun you can have on a bike on tour get off the beaten track meet the real people of the country your in on fantastic roads, in out of the way villages eating the local cuisine, and the challenge of holding a conversation 🤣 Sarah and I stopped for a coffee in the bar of a tiny village in the alps asked for directions everybody crowded round all giving different advice until the bartender shouted stop and sent a bloke to get the school teacher for the village who taught English happy days, who explained the rout and the best road, seared in the memory no photos required 🤣🤣🤣🤣 …. Pete🇫🇷
regards the handguards , i run them on my bike and you will only have to drop the bike once to realise just how glad you are they are fitted - keep em on anyway is my thinking, they offer a tad of wind protection, bar protection, lever protection, throttle tube prottection and they fit the aesthetic of your 650
yeah I agree ,,,you can buy cheap good guards for peanuts ,,so why spend on Barkys .. My guards cost £24 ,the metal bits are ok on mine the plastic bits are small ...but look great,, For my BSA I,m not sure what I will fit ,,do you get retro handguards?
I actually had the plastics left over in the shed so i just bought the universal strut (whatever it's called). I'm still not totally sold on the look but getting used to it...
Great video -- thanks. But that Indicator OCD: once seen it can't be unseen; I now have "looking for Sean checking his indicator" OCD. 14:17 really got me going ;-)
Sean at 7.00 you did shoot,,, you did not stop at th at "Stop " sign ,,,, In western Spain there,s many occasions where there a new and old Bridge. Some of the old bridges are Roman ,,so well worth a stop....
No... I think the hand guards are a (almost said handy) good accessory for any bike, keeps your hands out the breeze, and if course, it's your bike, do what you want with it.
Loving your adventure ,I'm going to take my CPT test in spring, so can get my first bike. I love the look of retro bikes, but 125 retro bikes are limited . So looking for one, I came to rest on the MUT DRK-01 125 ,so wanted to see what you think ..👍
Really enjoying this mini series of your trip. Be very interesting to see how much mileage you get from the AK41 tyres, they seem to be doing well on handling the varied conditions eh?
Hi Banger, I was told 6000 on the rear by the guys at the Bridgestone stand at ABR, but they are looking a lot more worn after 2000 miles. I think Spain and Portugal put a lot of quartz into the asphalt and it wears your tyres way more than normal...
Brilliant trip rustic buildings and that smooth road amazing do you carry a tyre repair kit or just wing it ? I guess an inner tube repair kit on the BSA ?
Hi Malcolm, I used to carry all sorts of repair kits and tools but honestly now I just have gold plated breakdown for Europe. I got the one where they recover your vehicle home regardless if the price of recovery exceeds vehicle value. I noticed the tools add a lot of weight and I am not confident to remove a wheel and replace the tube on the road. I have aspirations to learn this but have to admit my limitations for now. Thanks, Sean

The sound of the single cylinder engine pottering about is just brilliant. Great trip.
I couldn't agree more, I ride my BSA like a Royal Enfield 350 😂😀
Your becoming an accomplished off road rider Sean, love your adventurous spirit couldn't see me attempting some of those green lanes.

Sitting here under Storm Bert, this little taste of Spain is a welcome diversion!

I've been through Burgos many a time. Never stopped. I always stey a few miles north of the city in a truck stop.
I went through Burgos this summer ,nice place but liked Leon better.
Cool much enjoyed Sean what a glorious road and no manholes or potholes 😉👍

@@MindfulMotorcyclist is it better then scratched paint?
Very much so 👍
Love the way you go off the beaten track and explore the backroads. If you need a translator next time count me in 😊
I like the hand guards.
Me too, getting used to them 👍😀

Look and you will find it - what is unsought will go undetected 😂😂
I’m glad you didn’t get caught up in the tragic floods in Southern Spain
Well I've come back and there's a lot of water about in the Midlands!

I think I'd like to see you do a similar ride on English roads. There's a lot of unexplored England, I reckon.
That's a great idea! Thanks
Barbara from Sheffield 😆 brilliant 😆
I thought he said barber 🤣

Riding in Spain is so much nicer than the busy overcrowded UK.
So much better!

If you come off you will be glad you had hand guards fitted, nothing worse than being stranded with busted levers
What riding camera are you using ?
I switched from GoPro to DJI, just a standard DJI action 5
@ video is so nice 👍
@@Gamer_perak Thanks dude, that's kind of you to say
Great video but please stop faffing about with your indicator button!
