I met the most incredible Indian ever in Israel. Introducing the one and only Kalu Baba. Born and brought up in Pushkar, Rajathan now living in Israel, has opened a pop-up in Tel Aviv 🇮🇳🇮🇱
Kalu Baba met his Israeli wife in India, at a restaurant that he owned in his hometown. In 2014, he followed her back to her home in Israel, a picturesque kibbutz called Sde Nehemia in the Upper Galilee.
His business in the missile-struck northern town of Kiryat Shmona opens twice a week in Tel Aviv, offering visitors the best of Indian cuisine.
He has a very colorful personality and is very desi. He hosted me and my dad and we enjoyed his food and company.
