@@theodore738 this I got without the use of a demo actually! Found the listing on castingcallclub. Used this finished project as part of my demo though!

Thanks for these tips on pricing, pacing, and pickups. Just retired after 40+ years in radio, and now getting into independent voiceovers, so this is all valuable information. Thanks, Bill!

As a beginner the amount of silence before and after the read is not something I even considered. Good info. Thanks for letting us see this video here on youtube. Having a systematic workflow seems essential or at least something to worked towards. Streamline.

Great conversation, very interesting to hear of such a broad range of pricing and the final comment around ai and natural voice. Thx for this Bill.🙏🏻

Thanks always Bill, and Richard Watson here now too.
Always appreciate knowing how a VO talent can be better, but it's one thing hearing a talent saying what clients want, and an actual client telling us the ins and outs of what really matters to them.

Fantastic video and interview! Thank you both for lifting the veil a little.
As for AI - I wouldn't suggest any VO talent stay tunnel-visioned on IVR recordings, because as someone looking to get that done, it's much easier to accomplish it using AI. I say that from a Creative Director's position. As for everything else, Emotional Intelligence still outranks Artificial Intelligence.
Thank you for this. 👍Have an excellent one.

I remember when Fred Flintstones voice changed. They lost me as a viewer as a child. The voice has impact and is memorable. Too often people don't place value on what is important

Great points on being consistent in VO recording. I used to record vocals in music and would do similar things.

I'm glad I saw this video! I am a nurse who keeps up with my medical knowledge and would love to do medical e-learning. Pharmacology and pathophysiology are two of my favorite topics. I can't foresee mispronouncing too many medical terms. I also self-study in nutrition and supplementation. Extra motivation. Thank you very much for producing this video.

Your videos are encouraging, informative, and helpful. I am newer to audiobooks and take a lot of advice from you. When I run across words I'm uncertain about, I will always look up the definition online through a trusted dictionary (easy to do if your phone is with you). Most of the time, the dictionary will have a pronunciation of the word for you to listen to online. It takes me a little bit longer to record when I do that (thank goodness for home studios), but it helps me so that I don't have to re-record. It's easier just to edit those bits out when going over the final playback before sending it off. Thanks for all of the information you provide!!! Love your page.

So, I got my first voiceover order on Fiverr. I finally finished and sent off the fulfilled order about 3 minutes prior to the due date/time. In fact, I sent the client 2 additional order fulfillment answers, then sent off 2 more an hour later (I'm just learning what I'm doing). Fiverr gigged me a late, and they gave me an EIGHT HOUR late. What is that all about? And I can't find anywhere to go to challenge that, even though I have evidence on Fiverr that I did perform on time.

Hi Bill! Your videos gave me the push I needed to get started with voice overs, however the recent technological advancement with A.I. voices has been giving me quite the scare recently. Do you think A.I. will take over the VO industry any time soon?

It's unrealistic to try to deliver a plug n play product. You're just buzz wording. You have no idea what they need to do with the audio. What people need to focus on is delivering exactly what is asked and to stop working with clients who don't give enough direction.
