There is an export limit option on 'enable meter' as opposed to 'enable CT meter'. I would like to have some info on that function, as the homeowner is not going to install a CT meter but I am the one paying for electricity I am putting into the grid ;-) Do you have a separate video, or could you provide some info? The specific thing I am looking at, if I enable export limit via 'enable meter', whatever I seem to fill in, the system seems to be shutting down. Right now the system is generating 1300w, of which 1100 are fed into the grid, I have a MIN3600TL-XH, when I set export limit to 50%, my net use (taking from grid) goes toward 100W I would expect either of 2 thing to happen: system goes on half power, generating only 650, and I would still be net feeding into grid. OR nothing would happen as 1300 is stil below 50% of capacity. But I got both wrong... Thank you!
Does the 100% setting represent 100%of what the ct is reading the building is calling for or 100%of total inverter capacity? Does the meter support CT on line 1 & 2 simultaneously?
@@growattaustralia1112 Why then would you have an export limit set if you are sending all available spare energy to grid? If you want to prevent any being sent to grid, would the setting be 0.00%

Hi cdsilva, the inverter will automatically import/export based on the load consumption and solar generation, you cannot control the times, sorry for the inconvenience.
can you use CT's on the MIN 6000TL-X? Aslo, can you change the CT's ratio if you buy aftermarket CT's? and one more, do you know anyone who has used 0% to see if there will be absolutely zero grid feed? Many utilities now say no grid feed or you pay as if you were using power...
Hi Tyler, thanks for your comment. For Min 6K TL-X inverter, a meter is required for the export limit control, you cannot only use CT to do so. The recommended meter is Eastron SDM 120. The export limit percentages refer to the energy that is allowed to export to the ac grid, if you set it to 0%, then there will be no power exported to the AC grid.
Hello. Thanks for the Great instructions I have an MIN 10000TL-XH-US that I would like to add SDM120 ct meters to. In my setup, my Inverter is 50' away from my Service panel. What is the MAX length of cable I can use. Thanks.
maximum permissible length between a RS-485 driver and receiver is 4000ft (or 1200 meters). However, both cable quality and data rates impact this distance. As data rates increase, the signal is increasingly attenuated by the parasitic RC- filter created by the cable.
Hi, I have Growatt inverter MOD 10ktl3-xh working in my house with the injection limitation set to ON but I am injecting in the grid aprox 40% of the produced energy. Does anybody know what could be the issue? I read that some models of Growatt invertors have an issue
@@jakupmaksuti5276 hi, I meanwhile got the permit to inject in the grid so I no longer have the problem but I also did not get an explanation. I noticed that growatt invertor is not reporting accuratelly
Hi, you cannot connect a battery to your inverter as it is not a hybrid inverter. For battery compatible inverters, please refer Growatt XH series or SPH series inverters.
So at 0% it will not export any energy right even if there is no ct? Means can i set it at 0% without connecting the ct?
Do you know if a three phase inverter can do zero export and load balancing? For example to push all it's capacity to one phase if needed?!

100% export represents the inverter's capacity, for example, for a 5kw inverter, if set 100% export, then the maximum output to grid is 5KW

If export set to zero and there no power supply on day time, in that case will it generate power or it will shutdown?

The long distance may interfere the communication between the inverter and meter, there is a communication cable comes with the SDM 120 meter.

If I want zero export to grid, can't I leave the export limit on off?
leave it on, and set the percentages to 0%
For 0 export in the greed i Need 100% limit or 0% limite?
0%
0%
@@growattaustralia1112others have told that it should be 100%
Why would somebody want to export the limit?
Because in Germany there is a law, that you are not allowed to put unlimitid power to the grid!
In our country, it will be considered as charge if you happen to export power to the grid, when you have not applied for net metering

bad sound quality/background noise, hard to understand, what is the problem/why limit export? no bill of material, no scematics.
