Such a great hunt, very nice footage and exciting. thank you for sharing!
Regarding the fawns, I’ve seen does stomp their own fawns in the face from while I was sitting in a bow stand. They were trying to kick them away and not let them nurse. The fawns don’t rely on does by time hunting comes around

100%. Have seen the same thing. When the food gets scarce in the winter the does will kick their own fawns off their food source. Family ties are broken early on. Thanks for watching!

The wind was taking my scent towards the house, as long as they don't get your scent and don't see you move, they'll walk right into you.

I have the same problem when I see a coyote. I worry about how many fawns they are eating, but I hate to spend the broadhead on them too!

Wolves are in Wisconsin. Other than that I agree you shouldn't worry about the fawns being too young to survive.

Definitely are wolves in Wisconsin. Not in the area I hunt though.

@@goodthrillhunting it's been a few years since we've heard them around us. They were a problem but I think they've moved on in our area.

What is that ladder stand about 10 feet off the ground? Not trying to roast you, but just shocked at how low you are.

It is pretty low haha. In oaks with lots of thick limbs, I've found I can tap dance without the deer seeing me. I also don't like being so high (phrasing) that I have steep downward angles to shoot. Check out my 2021 doe kill, the field she's on is almost as high as me (😅) she's about at my level.
