Wow, I think I still have my old collection around. Gyruss was my favorite. I remembered how well designed those original XL computer cartridges were with its own built in "disc cover."
Ahh my first computer I could save programs and play games was an Atari 65XE. Also the first computer that helped develop my obsession for RPGs as well. My first computer was a TI994/a but I had nothing but the manuals and computer so I programmed for many hours a day after school on it.
*****
I had my 65XE until 7-8 years ago when one of the memory chips went bad. A few years ago I purged many of my non-working systems & computers and now with places like Atari Age, I wish I wouldn't have as I could have easily found parts to fix it.
Some sweet left cartridges!
LOL
Very nice selection of titles, some of my favourite games and versions are on Atari 8-bit.
The cartridges can be hard to come by (and a bit expensive). Did splash out and got that copy of Atlantis a few months ago, but it was well worth it.
Nice! You should definitely get Donkey Kong; it has all 4 screens, just like the arcade original.
nice collection man .
i tend to not go below nes in games.
those one screen games are not for me :P
so on mame that means all games before 1983 hehe
ok ok i played all of those ..
those are indeed fantastic.
But the amount of clones i tries on mame of those games. made me feel less of one screen games :P
