I honestly get why Jessi’s so big. Everyone was undoubtedly talented, but out of everyone, Jessi had the type of personality that made her harsh words of blunt honesty come across as funny, and she took full advantage of any promotional opportunities provided. If she was featured in a show or on the radio, she made sure that her presence was known, she didn’t just speak when spoken to or when relevant, she inserted herself naturally whenever she could, and wasn’t ashamed to discuses anything and everything. That kind of confidence is appealing and rare, and when anyone tried to say anything against her, she took it in stride like “why is that a bad thing if it’s the truth?”, she never got overly defensive of herself to the point where it made her look insecure or weak, she essentially built up this wall around herself even before she had a large fan base to defend her. She’s never put herself in a bad position because she’s always been open about what she believes in and does from the start. People haven’t bashed her nearly as much for being so revealing because she was never anything else, nor has anyone really been too critical on what she says because she’s always spoken that way. It’s rare to find someone who improves talent wise but whose core personality and values don’t sway drastically over time, despite what short term advantages may have come their way if they had chosen to behave or speak differently

Watching this in 2020 after Jessi released her album and had collabs with Jay Park, B.M of Kard and was featured in Dawn‘s Dawndididawn, had the entire Refund Sisters thing going on, was on all those shows, built her reputation on and on, had a trend on Tiktok with her dance for Nunu Nana and everything else makes me believe even stronger that she deserved everything she has gotten for herself and I‘ll forever stan a queen ❤️

As far as I know, she claimed that a fanfic that the author had written was based on her personal relationship with Kang Daniel. The fanfic was basically about Kang Daniel being y/n's boyfriend (or atleast something like that) and Jidam claimed that the author had violated her and Daniel's privacy of sorts saying that the nickname given to y/n in the fanfic was the same as the one that Kang Daniel had given her (privately, of course). People asked her that what was her relationship with Kang Daniel to be making this allegation and then she replied by saying that Kang Daniel is her ex-boyfriend. Most people started spamming her with hate comments, especially on her instagram account, but in the aftermath of the situation many people questioned her sanity (im NOT kidding). Then it comes out that she has bipolar disorder too and all the netizens and haters just pounce on it. The biggest thing is that even after defending herself many times against such people, Jidam did not produce any legible evidence proving the fact that she did indeed once date Kang Daniel. It was an incredible blow to her image and most people thought she either did what she did because she was on drugs (this is the most believed theory) or she wanted attention. This happened in 2018 (i think), but people still have that crazy, druggie image of Yuk Jidam. I spent nearly half an hour typing this but its prolly worth it if it spreads this information to fellow Unpretty Rapstar enthusiasts...

You missed the scandal that Yuk Ji Dam had involving a certain fanfic author and Kang Daniel of Wanna One. As far as I know, she claimed that a fanfic that the author had written was based on her personal relationship with Kang Daniel. The fanfic was basically about Kang Daniel being y/n's boyfriend (or atleast something like that) and Jidam claimed that the author had violated her and Daniel's privacy of sorts saying that the nickname given to y/n in the fanfic was the same as the one that Kang Daniel had given her (privately, of course). People asked her that what was her relationship with Kang Daniel to be making this allegation and then she replied by saying that Kang Daniel is her ex-boyfriend. Most people started spamming her with hate comments, especially on her instagram account, but in the aftermath of the situation many people questioned her sanity (im NOT kidding). Then it comes out that she has bipolar disorder too and all the netizens and haters just pounce on it. The biggest thing is that even after defending herself many times against such people, Jidam did not produce any legible evidence proving the fact that she did indeed once date Kang Daniel. It was an incredible blow to her image and most people thought she either did what she did because she was on drugs (this is the most believed theory) or she wanted attention. This happened in 2018 (i think), but people still have that crazy, druggie image of Yuk Jidam. I spent nearly half an hour typing this but its prolly worth it if it spreads this information to fellow Unpretty Rapstar enthusiasts...
