    I love that both aesthetics work seasonally as well. So I consider light academia more for spring summer, and dark academia for fall and winter

  • @nomadine85
    @nomadine85 Год назад +120

    Interesting. I’m a mix of both. My colour palette is absolutely dark academia, but without the gothic aspect, plus I like all the materials and patterns of light academia. And when it comes to the values, mine are more nature-focused and poetic, but melancholic and with a preference for solitude. But, like, solitude in a summery meadow. But in the colour palette of dark academia.

    First video of this subject that kept my interest!!! Great job.
    I don't mind watching a video of you taking for 10 minutes because you brought so much information and photo reference to the subject. So many others spent their entire time just talking and occasionally holding up clothes.

    Helpful video. I, too, am a mix of both. I love both a Light academia maybe "Jane Austen aesthetic" you could say but also love a dar/goth aesthetic following my love for Bronte books and the like. Maybe I could follow a light aesthetic in the warm months and dark for fall/winter as others suggested. I agree with others-you are gorgeous. Thank you for your videos and I realize I'm late replying but just found you. Looking forward to watching more soon.

    Honestly the style
    Is too “costumey”. Instead, live the style. Enroll in a school, remove victorian and english aspects from this theme, and it will help a lot.

    • @SilvinaGaiero
      @SilvinaGaiero  11 месяцев назад +2

      If you remove the victorian aspects of it it’s no longer Dark Academia. The whole point of the style is to be inspired by past times that’s why it feels “customey” for today’s informal standards. But you certainly don’t need to go to school to achieve a fashion style. Have a great day.
