That's a pretty sweet build! I found AMT 's " Mopower " '74 Plymouth Satellite funny car from Spotlight Hobbies' website. The issue date was from 1975! I was just a toddler then! It built up pretty good. You can see it on Scale Auto Magazine website.
Another outstanding build, absolutely beautiful work, you brought a simple basic kit and turned it into a very showable model, thank you for videos and techniques.
@@hpiguy I got this same model kit for Christmas. I have decided to build it exactly like my parent's car so I am going to model up and 3D print a bench seat, wheels and a correct steering wheel for it before I start the build.

hi, I'm from Florence and I've recently approached the world of cars1/24, since I was looking for the model of the van to transform into the mystery machine. As soon as I saw your channel, I signed up.
Yeah, your back stories are the best. Nice choice of color. You know the saying- "Silk purse out of a sows ear"- you seem to make it work every time. I would have liked to seen the chin spoiler and 6 bbl. but like say, "build it the way you want it."
it is interesting to watch you paint because you and I do it almost the opposite way. I do my bodies from the bottom up instead of shooting the sides and top then going back. Not saying anything wrong with that, just interesting. The green really pops. I will have to get a can of that paint. Thanks for another great build video.
Great job as usual. Just a friendly note, transmissions are normaly aluminum/steel regardless of what instuctions say. Do as you like, its your model. Keep up the builds, thanks, Bob.

Nice build Chris wow and here's a tip, The 71 charger chassis fits under the body perfect.if you wantnto add extra details, Mine is a Daisy Dukes Roadrunner.. thanks for all you do for us in your videos...
Daisy actually had a 71-72 road runner in the first few episodes and then it was changed to this body style without any explanation. I think the earlier version is much better looking but as long as Daisy is driving I can't complain.
That turned out awesome. Never understood though when they redesigned the front end of the actual car , that they didn't match the wheel arch design like the rear wheel arches. The older front end design did match front and back.
"WOW Chris what a fantastic hot paint job on a hot car." Looks like it could burn rubber just sitting there. I like your wheel detail, looks so real. I think I have the original issue kit somewhere, I got it at a model show a long time ago as a bagged kit molded in black missing decals and instructions. Great job.
Nice car and super nice build as I have come to expect from you. I liked your story about the swapped in motor and it being orange vs mopar blue ...and it happened a lot. I always tell myself im gonna build this one stock but I get into and next think I know im building a prostreet all aftermarket build , never fails! But awesome build
Very nice build!!!! I’m pretty sure that these are the same molds as the old Daisy’s Road Runner from the Dukes of Hazzard line by MPC. All you have to do is paint it yellow with black stripes and you have Daisy’s car from the show.
i made quite good expierence with a little trick, i read about once. if you start spray, maybe even with primor, just do first a real small coat, like not even one. just like 30 sec. of spray. Then wait another quarter hour, and go on with the paint job. It's a great little trick thing imo. Maybe someone gains technique out of my comment. lol love them old kits
Man i been waitin to see this one get built!!!!!! Impatiently!!! Lol...such an under appreciated body style car i loved the fuesalodge bodied mopars of early/mid 70's
paint it yellow with the black strobe stripe and you have Daisy Duke's Road Runner car. They used a 1971 Plymouth Road Runner for season one and then used a 1972 Plymouth Satellite with a black Road Runner Stripe for season 2. You can notice the difference in the cars by the different front grills between the 71 Road Runner and 72 Satellite.
Even nicer to see after the build....its a well rounded kit overall....for an mpc pretty nice really. Love the additions of the super nice decals an pad printed tires to these older kits.....and those factory rally wheels are really really nice! Very rare too....those particular ones in kit form not sure if iv ever seen em in a kit. Also the 400 decals....like em.rare
The different air cleaner decals are a nice touch in my opinion...maybe somebody had a factory 360 in the car they had in high school. Very nice option
Great Job Chris. That's one I definitely have to get. As owned one. Mine was Black with white stripes. The only thing I see missing is the chrome resonator exhaust tips, they had slots in them with red interiors .... which came stock. Looks like a pretty cool kit.

Pretty cool build. You forgot to try the mudge podge trick for the headlights I told you about. lol If those left over wheels are the basic hubcaps, I think that Round2 missed an opportunity of putting more decals on the decal sheet to be able to downgrade this car into a base Satellite. But that doesn't take anything away from this kit. I've seen many people have fitting issues with previous releases. I guess Round2 fixed the molds as to fix those issues.
@@carolinehaf21 When you have kits like this one with headlights that aren't made of clear plastic but part of the chrome grill, you put mod podge on the chrome lights and let it dry, and it make those lights look more like they were made of plastic/glass. As for the glossy or normal version, I guess it depend on the builder.
@@chassegallerie2910 Thank you! Would you do what Chris does by putting molotow chrome on the headlights first then when dry use the mod podge or would that not work?
@@carolinehaf21 Mod Podge is good stuff. Never tried it for headlights on model cars though. I've always used it for other craft projects for its glossy finish. I've always used Testors Clear Parts Cement and Window Maker. It's almost the same consistency of white glue, but not as white in color. Easy to work with. Will not bond your fingers together like super glue does. It dries clear and is perfect for gluing clear parts.
Another great 👍🏻 model build, I love the bright green color you picked. Your videos are so enjoyable to watch. I was wondering if you will be building the new AMT 1/25 Ford C600 Coca Cola stake truck with Coca Cola vending machines? Thanks again for the model build and review 👍🏻

Another great build review Chris. When I saw you were going to be doing this one I could not wait to see it. Always great color choices btw! I like it’s a clone car too. Leaves room for creativity. 😎👍🏾
Chris, this is a very cool build period. Nice job. I absolutely love the crazy colors that the MOPAR people used in the late 60’ and Early 70’s. As you know these colors are returning today on the modern Chargers and Challenger cars. Was MOPAR’s sales pitch “ The Rapid Transit System” ? Very nice build Chris! Keep doing what you do. Thank you! BEEP BEEP !!
Thanks again for another enjoyable episode. My buddy had that car from his grandpa and I supplied the cool hood for a case of beer back in the late 80,s totally changed the dynamics. I would like to know if you prefer one kit manufacturer over another. I do Like the AMT,s myself they put a little more parts in the kit for added depth and detail. Thanks again
Yeah, I'm not one for saying this is better than that. Each company has their gold stars and their bronze stars depending on the kit. Thanks for watching!

Whats the mod podge headlight trick? Wadls about to try it for some builds - do you use the extra glossy version or normal? New builder here , thanks!
@@carolinehaf21 I'm not really sure. I don't have Molotow chrome pens.
I'm hoping they do send that one, there is one near me rotted into the ground and I want to copy it.

Grabber Green on a Mopar? How dare you lol
Just kidding. Another fine build by the man himself. :)
LOL, I'll do the next one in Chevy Copper just to upset the perfectionists!

Another great build review Chris. When I saw you were going to be doing this one I could not wait to see it. Always great color choices btw! I like it’s a clone car too. Leaves room for creativity.

Thanks!
Finally a kit in my price range! Lol Great work as usual.

"Another nice build..." I'll say! Wow - the details. Perfect is NOT real. Pre-owned, gently worn all that stuff describes this car. And the story runs with the build. Very entertaining.
Thanks for sharing...
I agree!
