To hear such music. What a vast and beautiful soul this man had. To such such high spheres and translate that music so flawlessly. Immaculate. Beautiful performance.
…JSB and his oeuvre is a permanent call for worldwide humanity. Against homophobe fear, anger, ignorance and destructive elements in politics and society. As this music comes via JSB directly from heaven it is an appeal to all of us…
This is indeed the Double Violin Concerto in D minor, BWV 1043. It is Bach himself who transcribed it for two harpsichords (BWV 1062), transposed one tone down to C minor in order to make the highest violin note accessible as D6 to the harpsichords of that time.
These moderate tempi work well in this piece. Not only is the slow movement deeply felt, but the allegros avoid any hint of the relentless, which latter is sadly not uncommon these days.
@@manuelstella1487Bach is so great so great, but so many of his Works are NOT so original. Whilst replying, I'm listening to the Second Movement, this one indeed sounds very BACH ; Third Movement sounds a bit HAeNDEL. Thanks for your comment 😊
It was a common practice in the baroque period to transcribe the original concertos into different instrumentations. Bach also did the same with Vivaldi's concerto for 4 violins, transcribing it for 4 harpsichords
@@danielfeyginmanakov3264 I was making a joke, but I'm very glad we have it performed in these different keys and instrumentations. With Bach more than anyone, while key insinuates something special given well-temperament of his day in terms of different ratios for the same interval in different keys, on the modern equal-tempered system the mathematical relation between the notes themselves is 99.99% of what's going on, hence it is felicitous as well for us to further experiment with other transpositions. By the same reasoning, instrumental timbre can be often (not always) abstracted.
There is no question but that Bach is a ray of transcendence from the cosmic inframind.
Bach demostrate all geniality in these concert, sublime!
Einfach fantastisch, Balsam für die Seele! Vielen herzlichen Dank!

Forse RUclips non ha capito che, se insiste con le pubblicità, non comprerò proprio i prodotti o servizi che propone insistentemente.

Wow, this is violin concerto correct?
I love how they transcribed the violin solo to piano.

Krasota !!!
It's always great to listen to Vivaldi's music, especially when transcribed by such a genius as BACH 😮 🎉🎉🎉
Actually, this is an original work by Bach.

These concert Ist original Bach not Vivaldi, I hear all Vivaldi's repertory and these concert don't exist. Ist Bach original.
hetadayo.
Krasota
I think Steinways would have given a more crisp bell like tone , in my opinion. But, a joy still to behold.
It's a neat performance, but I feel a little uninspired.
terribile bach suonato sul pianoforte!
It sounds like Bach plagiarized himself from when he wrote the Concerto for 2 Violins in D Minor here...
What did he think, nobody would notice that?

Bach likely suspected someone else would notice in the future but he hoped he himself wouldn't notice.
The orchestra is Out of tune.
Это восхитительно
