It isn't used in-game, I just thought it fit the best for this and had it on in the background.
Also this has very little balance testing put into it at the moment, and I still have to implement a couple of things, as is evident by the footage. That'll be addressed in time.

Something that I really enjoy about these Exo Mechs is Draedon's monolog/dialogue sequence after you defeat a mech. It's a nice way to add a bit of restful downtime to an incredibly chaotic & adrenaline (heh) inducing ride, while also giving the player some time to regenerate their health bar or lower their cooldowns of various things before the next set arrives

Looks incredible Dom. My only real complaint now is that the mines Hades throw out, I can't really see a seasoned player getting hit by those more than like...once or twice. Also Hades' enormous blue laser seems almost worthelssly slow when they're all together, like I can tell you had to TRY to put that on screen. Apart from that though, looks clean as hell. Great work. Now my only quesrion remains, is this part of a potential Infernum 2.1, or is this a completely related side project that'll be its own addon? Either way, absolutely playing this when it comes out. The Ares sword spin made my jaw hit the floor.

I think those mines will probably be tweaked to be more of an intermediate thing. Something that enhances other attacks rather than being on its own in an awkward difficulty dip.
@@dominickarma6646 Honestly if the mines had a bigger explosion radius or went off faster, it'd probably be fine. Something I think would be really cool is that the mines shot out flame projectiles in either an × or + pattern, that could be neat. Or Hades himself takes a book from Infernum Thanatos and uses the Refraction Rotors in some way. But these are just my crackpot ideas, obviously it's your boss rework.
No please not the refraction rotors my god, just make the mines have priority in firing from thanatos' closest segment right into you, that'll make the player move

I think the only criticism I have is that the plane that appears at the beginning and carries the Bosses could have looked more like a high-tech spaceship and less like an airport plane.
I had to watch it *three fucking times* to make sure it was real.

You have outdone yourself, this is fucking amazing. I'm talking about as amazing as one of the best bosses in Terraria, like, *ever.* I am not kidding, this is arguably the best reworked boss ever and I've played Wrath of the Empress and Wrath of the Gods.
The explosions are way more impactful than infernum’s. Well done!

Splendid, looks even better then the last preview. the effects of the bosses coming in and out of the background when the other boss is fighting adds a lot of good 'character' to the fight and i think you did slow the lasers down for ares, it looks better👍
Also, bit of a fun question: What plane is the one the drops the mechs based on?
Ares empowering the Apollo and Artemis is a nice detail in this fight.
This is either infernum a standalone addon or it has smth to do with eternity death looking at the breath meter in space

The full name change of Thanatos from XM-05 to XM-04 Hades is a strange choice imo

I like it better than Thanatos, it's all subjective preference anyway, and as such as the person that's actually doing the work to make the mod I'm going with that
2:40 a little suggestion is that in this attack artemis went to one direction and then came back and go to the other direction
I like how dominic isn't even trying to dodge
Also is appolo shield blocks damage from true melee attacks? Will it deflect attacks or just absorb?

The idea with the flying plane is awesome! But it seems to me that the plane does not suit the style of this boss at all. Still, Draedon's creations are more futuristic than a simple plane of our days

I feel like the explosion of each and every one of Hades’ segments is a bit too much visual overload, and should be tuned down a bit, but otherwise, loving it so far 🙏🏽

Oh god, this bro start made exo mech. IT'S FUCKING GOOD:)
It feels like it lacks naturality on their attacks, specially on the 3v1 phase where they dont even try to use ranged attacks on you. Also ares could have a gimmick of switching weapons on barrage as in the idea of after using an weapon individually he will retract it and switch it with another weapon. Nonetheless, it is the most visually appealing version of the exo mechs ive seen and by far the best apollo and artemis yet. Cant wait to see what youre going to do here
The 3v1 phase is one of the more underdeveloped parts of the fight at the moment. That one attack combination is all there is, which I don't want to be the case in the end result, seeing as Artemis and Apollo aren't exactly easy to hit during it.
@@dominickarma6646 fair enough' also an idea for hades would be having him to mainly try and obstruct your path so that you cant escape the other 2 mechs wrath. Him having an "invunnerable exoskeleton" would mostly mean that. I would like so much to give in and create ideas for these fights but not only i dont have a properly functioning computer but i also dont know much about modding in general :|
why Hades instead of Thanatos?
awesome fight, but i'm wondering, is there a reason for the Thanatos rebrand? I know it's probably wishful thinking but maybe the name's being saved for a different fight?
Hades was thanatos' old name that got changed before 1.5 released
There's not a deeper reason to it than dom wanted to use hades instead

Or maybe it's just that Hades is considered as one of the "Bigger gods" in greek pantheon... Not many people know who Thanatos is, but most know who Hades is, and it makes sense, since other mechs are Artemis and Apollo, as well as Ares
@@Konata_Kon the reason thanatos was chosen over hades was precisely because thanatos isn't as well known as a name
They decided it wouldn't make sense to have the name of a Big Three on only one of the mechs so they gave a less important name to it

Yeah. But maybe Ares is just on background, idk. Dominic seems to like putting bosses further on background since he made Noxus and Nameless, then Empress and now these
