@@paininthebass101I feel sorry for wetzel, this band is his baby and I remember the early days when everyone had as much enthusiasm as he did. But how to you replace Austin or Caleb as far as vocalists go? You literally had 2 future front men in the same band doing vocals. I think the band here still is solid, but the vocals need work, if they could just move their voice from the nasal passage to their chest that would solve a lot of this.
@XneverstopfightingX they also had Johnny Franck (now in Bimuri) on cleans. I feel for Wetzel too, and I'm still rooting for these guys despite it pretty much being a different band. The screams are definitely the weakest part, dude has no range.

clean vocals do sound good also, think they should stick to the autotuned sound effect on the old songs tho.

Most hated that album
Instrumentally is freaking flawless (great mix, Leo!). Now, personally I feel like vocals are a little bit subpar. Anyway, they all look super happy, so I hope they just keep doing music.
feel like it was low key the equipment, the screams were great and the full breath cleans too it was just the softer stuff coming through really raw and quiet

Killer mix as always Leo. But man idk what to say about their performance lol. I feel for them being pulled between the “play the hits” and trying to do something new.
Eh it’s kinda what happens when you wanna use the name recognition of the most popular crabcore band to exist but try and pave a new path musically for the band. Their hits are how they get to play new music to that crowd in that size venue.
These are skilled musicians, respect for perfoming these tracks as well as they did.
They're gonna have to figure the vocals out or just stop playing OG music. I tried to like it, but the vocals are just a deal breaker for me. I'd be happier with lip syncing lol.
I want to assume it's just hard singing songs written by others for THEIR voices, but yeah looks like vocally these guys were just having a rough night. Musically it sounds really solid. Really weird how they have johnny's harmonies in the backing tracks with this guy though.
This was also the last show on the end of a decent length tour, which kicked off almost immediately after another decent length tour so take into account they toured nonstop almost an entirety of 6 months, probably a bit of strain and cobwebs to dust off after not doing that stuff in a long time.
Yeah I recently saw them on their tour and the guys vocals were fucking insane. This video does them so dirty. Plus their new stuff is imo amazing

Actually, it was when Austin was the singer, the rest of the band was not and that's part of why Austin was kicked. He kept saying they were and the rest of the band was not, asides Johnny. The other straw with Austin was he kept drinking and hooking up with underage girls at shows, and got nasty with Caleb, once Austin was booted, that whole "Christian" band image was dropped lol

Think im like the only one who digs the vocals. its got like a melodic hardcore feel to it which you can hear the influence in the self titled records instrumentals. Do i miss the range and diversity? Sure. But overall the vocals are not terrible.

Lol they sound just fine all I had to do was listen to the tracks again and see that this guys is obviously trying to sound like the old songs for fans sake. Then I listened to the new songs and they sound fine to you can see it’s obviously his sound on the new songs but he sounds fine for the sake of the old songs because that type of scream isn’t always sustainable. Listen to TDWP DeadThrone the screamer blew out his voice that record he recovered but his voice is definitely a little different.

When I saw them in NJ, the self titled songs were only okay, but the TMW and new songs were great
I'm seeing Attack Attack for the first time next month. Instrumentally, they're very tight, but the vocals are rough in several places. My show is toward the beginning of the tour, so I'm hoping they'll sound better vocally.
