Great! & thanks again from Japan 有り難う💛。 Last year 2021, on Feb.19, Akatsuki became a very special song for BABYMETAL fans in a different way. This song had not been performed for 2 years and 4 months, but they revived it that day on a similar center stage (not rotating but telescopic octagonal). I witnessed it at Budokan, the same legendary arena in this video. Honestly I can not remember clearly what I saw and what I heard because it was too surprising and too mesmerizing. (Even after I viewed Blu-ray videos released last September) There is one certain thing, however. I felt celestial bliss there, especially with Su's matured profound voice.
It is one of the most beloved songs, especially among Japanese BABYMETAL fans.

Good reaction and congratulations on your 1k+ subscribers. There are a couple of performances of 'Akatsuki' where Su has a fight against an evil Su lookalike during the guitar break and in 2018 (and 2021 also at the Budokan) two dancers (known as muscle metal) took the fight centre stage ... al very spectacular.
Congratulations on going over 1000 subscribers. If I recall correctly, you had only 3 subscribers when you did your first Babymetal reaction not very long ago.

The song title 'Akatsuki' combines the characters for red (aka) and moon (tsuki).
On the track listing they have replaced the character for "aka" with "kurenai" (a deep red or crimson), as a tribute to the X-Japan song 'Kurenai'.
Her solo song 'Amore' might better show off Su's technical abilities, but 'Akatsuki' is a powerful, emotional song, and her first BABYMETAL solo.
Guitarists that night were Leda Cygnus (on the left) and Takayoshi Ohmura (on the right with "Pink-chan", his signature model ESP Snapper 7 guitar).
As usual BOH was on bass and Hideki Aoyama on drums.
I've said it before, but Su doesn't need to fear any of the pyrotechnics, because she is fire herself.
That solo (and Rondo of Nightmare from the same concert) are what made me a diehard BABYMETAL fan.
Black Night was the second night of the Budokan concerts in March 2014, so Su was 16. The staging was complex with a rotating stage, a stage lift in the center and multiple sets of stairs. It was so complicated that both Yui and Moa had falls and I think it was dangerous and is one of the few times I question the professionalism of the BM organization.
There is a quieter "unfinished" version with just piano instrumentation that Su sang between Headbanger and Babymetal Death in Legend 1997 and now that Su is a little older I wish she'd revisit it.
Here Akatsuki is translated as "Crimson Moon". It's a Su solo and has been out of the setlist for a while now that BM is just Su-metal and Moametal, but they brought it back in the current set of concerts at Budokan Doomsday. I'm really glad they did because the shows are better with Su solos and Akatsuki is one of my favourites. It's a hymn to undying love (or at least keeping it's memory alive) and uses the symbolism of the "red thread" to connect lovers; there's lots of red imagery in the lyrics of this song.
There is also a Japanese anime/manga with where the protagonists are called "Akatsuki" who wear capes and I think that Su's cape might be a nod to that, or it might just be a dramatic prop.

This is my favorite performance of my favorite song, plain and simple. I love all about it... to the point I use it as a measure of perfection :)
Hype aside... power metal is my thing and I totally love the dueling and then harmonizing solos, the double kick bass drumming and that nice bass line. And, of course, the clear and powerful vocals of Su-metal, being just 16 at the time, and owning the freaking Budokan with her legendary death stare.

Su-Metal have a powerful voice to penetrate the heavy musical instrument and still sound so clear. You should listen to X Japan "Kurenai", a legendary band from Japan 🇯🇵 which Babymetal get a lot of their inspiration from. There is a slow version of Akatsuki, the Unfinished version perform at Legend 1997 Apocalypse concert same venue as Headbanger.
