I can't wait for my copy. I loved Tales from the Yawning Portal and this looks just as good if not better. A lot of people who have only played 5e don't understand these compendiums, but as you say, these are designed to drop in to larger campaigns, and not be run in conjunction. The old school modules (as they were known) contain less role-playing but are incredible fun. I agree with you about the wonderful artwork too. Great review.

The alt cover doesn’t have any embossing, but it does have a metallic silver outline around the djinni.

Pharaoh is my favourite module of all-time. I caught a glimpse of the Dome of Flight so it looks like they adapted it fairly accurately? Does anyone know if these adventures are shortened or otherwise altered from the originals?

I’m a fan of the Goodman Games books. They’re called “reimagined” I think.
Not only a complete reprinting of the original modules, but some story and background about the designers, etc…and a fully updated 5e version of the same module with minimal changes.
Keep on the Borderlands, The Lost City, The Isle of Dread, Expedition to the Barrier Peaks, etc…
    Really cool stuff.

Thanks for showing that! Question: how much content do they give you on the lost city itself? It looked like it was just a few paragraphs on two pages. Was there anything more?
