If Jae, pat, bobby performed at their peak form, this team is legit the scariest team, with great depth as well. Only concern I have is keeping the core relatively injury free and the fact that for the first time, Dame actually has a huge pressure to win a chip, will he step up or crumble
This trade blew me away and still does. I honestly thought Portland would have a death grip on Dame and wouldn't trade him at all. Here we are about a month before the season starts and he goes to Milwaukee. Holy shit. I'm blown away this trade even happened, but I'm happy that Dame got out of that bad situation. Now as for my prediction as to how this is going to work out, aside from injuries, another huge thing is going to be EGO. So many great teams or even championship-caliber teams on paper have not worked out because of ego problems. I'm hoping everyone can be adults and figure out that problem like men if it happens.
Because the biggest barrier for them to reach the finals remains a guy named Jokic, and this trade makes them even worse at containing him. If you think Ayton was bad at guarding Jokic, wait till you see Nurkic try to do it, if he can stay on the court, of course. :)
@@nighthiker oh trust me i know lol. i been calling jokic the best player in the league since 2021. but i do live in arizona and by default i have to atleast root for the suns when they’re good😂 and this might be the best roster we’ve had in years. barring no injuries, it’s a very good team on paper. the difference now is nurk has backup with eubanks and bol, and they got plenty of shooters and defenders surrounding 3 of the best scorers in the league.
@@SweatyTurban34 As a Nuggets fan, I know Nurkic and Bol Bol quite well. Believe me when I say they have no chance at staying on the court with Jokic. The Ayton/Landale tandem was much better in that regard - even though it looked like they were completely helpless - I guess that's what jokic does to you once he eventually figures you out. I believe the Suns were a much better team before they traded for Durant. More precisely, the mid range game they depend on so highly today inherently has too much variance - if they get a huge showing from two of Durant, Booker and KD they have great chances, but that's unsustainable, as we saw last season. To me they had a better core and were much more balanced pre-Durant. But that's the NBA for you - owners/GMs have no patience and still fold to the superstar culture that brings notoriety and attendance. It's a business first and foremost, after all - making money is the priority, winning comes second. But we'll have to wait and see how it goes on the actual court if they meet again in the playoffs. Cheers and good luck! ;)
No such thing as a guaranteed championship my friend! Denver vs Milwaukee finals would be so awesome. Personally, I'd still take the Nuggets in that scenario but it's certainly a close battle.
It's reminiscent to Clyde Drexler and Hakeem Olajuwon when it comes to Dame (Portland legend) gets traded. Hope they actually win atleast one like Clyde and Olajuwon did
I need to see Dame/Lopez pick and roll/pop with Giannis as a lob threat. And Khris/Pat/Malik on the kick-out!? I’m gonna be up all night thinking about this offence
I'm new to this but the way the NBA is right now I wouldn't favor (even such) a nice big 3 over a very well constructed team. Miami proved last season that you can get very far with team spirit, a very well constructed roster, and great coaching. That being said, I can't wait to see those two work their magic together.
The early 2020’s is going to be an interesting time in the NBA when we look back at it. We saw a few Superteams failing (hello Nets), and we saw arguably a bit more of a variety of teams making deeper playoff appearances (2021 being the poster child for that). These two should be an intriguing duo, and a new look Bucks team that could go far.
The 2023 Heat finals run was a coordinated chokejob on the part of coach Bud and the entire Celtics roster. The Nuggets folded them in five games. That shit's embarrassing. That should not happen again, not with Miami's current roster. I don't see them getting past a Bucks team with a new coach that knows when to call a timeout and a star that can reliably close out games without getting hacked at the free throw line. As for the Celtics, if they manage to choke away a series again they should blow up their whole roster and pray their next batch of recruits don't turn out to be perrennial choke artists.
@GeorgePerakis you're harsh ! Coach bud's brother died during the series if I'm not mistaken. Which is a more than valid reason to make mistakes imo. As for the Celtics... well, as far as I know, you're right, but they also made moves during these past few days that address these issues. Although if they don't get the championship, they probably will blow it up.
I expected him to go to the Bucks, but that was my Giannis/Bucks bias... I didn't think it would happen. I was thinking that its smartest move for both... But I thought that it was going to be the Heat.
I'm surprised the Blazers actually traded him to a real contender. If Dame is gonna complain about this situation, he really is trying to run from the grind
Bucks is the scariest team in the East right now. Pick and rolls on that team would be nasty, Brook can shoot outside, Giannis just bullies everyone inside, Khris can shoot midrange and you'd still have to guard Dame everywhere. It's exciting to be a Bucks fan right now. Commented this before, but Bucks Nuggets finals might actually happen holy shit.
I could not believe it when I first saw it I thought it was clickbait, but what the hell?! Miami was supposed to get Dame, but Milwaukee got him instead? Speechless...
It makes sense that the Blazers would want to bet against Milwaukee's future. Dame will be roughly 1000 years old in 2029 and will probably be retired. Giannis will be 34. Lopez will definitely be retired. Middleton probably will be too. I'm not sure a 34-year-old Giannis is going to singlehandedly keep the team afloat, if he's even on the team. As for preferring distant Milwaukee picks to distant Miami picks, that makes sense to me too, given each franchise's history. Plus, Jrue is a better player than anyone Miami could offer and can be flipped for more assets. Even at his age and with his contract running out soon, he's more appealing to more teams than Herro.
Just keep in mind that Lillard is a liability on defense, and so is Middleton, so, if it comes to stopping the opposing team it will be interesting to see, and being better than the Nuggets, we shall see.
I can't believe some ppl are downplaying the move 😂 I'm a Sixer fan, so I'm not happy about it, but Dame, Giannis, and Middleton is gonna be nasty. Giannis is a winner. He's not gonna let this chance slide out the window. Imagine Dame as option TWO?!
@@michaelgieseler2799Thanks. Side note: Imagine how many draft picks teams would demand and give up for top tier players if the Stepien rule didn’t exist.
Script writers are in their bag rn. 2 small market stars joining forces (in a small market). Everybody’s 30+ so the title window isn’t huge but damn. The Bucks vs Celtics eastern conference finals should be a great series.
I think people underestimate how bad the Bucks might be in 2028-30. Bucks don't control any of their picks until 2030 except a 2027 second-rounder. They don't even have any 2nd-round picks period except 2025 and 2027. So they have no young talent or even rookie-scale contract role players incoming, no assets to trade for younger players down the line, not a market that gets big free agents, the rest of their team except Giannis is in their mid-30s already Of course its still worth it for Milwaukee, this might get them 1-2 more rings in the near future, but odds are strong the 2028 29 30 Bucks picks are when it's 34-year-old Giannis, role-players, G-Leaguers, and an Antetokoumpo brother. The Blazers have to be salivating over these picks. It's very possible they end up getting 2 or 3 top-5 picks to put rookie-contract stars around a contender with prime Scoot and Sharpe and whoever they draft next year etc Miami fans mad about this also gotta know Miami will likely still be at worst a play-in team indefinitely, being a stable org in a destination market who can get star free free agent. If I were the Blazers I'd choose 1 pick and 2 pick swaps from the Bucks in 6 years from now over even 2 full picks from Miami. If I'm the Blazers GM I'd bet on that being 2-3 high lottery picks vs like 2 picks around 15th-20th too. Miami could've added one more pick to make it 3 firsts but they got overconfident and stingy and fumbled it
so when milwaukee has no depth theyre championship favorites but when the suns have the best big 3 in the NBA and reasonable depth theyre “barely contenders”
If I’m the bucks I would even think about running crowder at the 2 for defense. There’s more than enough offense to go around between dame giannis and Middleton, and crowder/lopez can still spread the floor a respectably. Let Bobby and Malik dominate opposing benches
Nice trade.... not as convinced they're going to win a championship, but they definitely needed this shakeup based on how the last few years went. If they're healthy, they should at least make the Finals this year.
Weird 3D Chess Observation: We should not really judge the value of this trade for Portland, until we see, what they will get for Holiday. Boston for example might be willing to overpay with future draft picks, since they now need an All Defense Guard to have a chance against these Bucks. Miami has to do something, and Holiday might be the best option available.
Honestly, while I think a lot of people would have thought it was kind of a selfish move to force himself to Miami if he'd won a title in Miami he'd have clearly shown he can be the best player on a championship team. In Milwaukee he isn't the clear cut best player so it probably would mean a bit less for his legacy but if we're being real he also might not have been able to do it in Miami so there's that.
Only thing I’d be worried about is age/ injuries and depth but outside of that hood team, don’t understand the suns cause they could of got a lot more but going to be a fun nba season
I'd cool it with the Championship talk (I mean, come on...anything can happen, we've seen this story before), but the Bucks have crafted a legitimately BEASTLY team and as a Raptors fan, I'm so fucking mad that OG ANUNOBY was apparently the player keeping us from getting Dame. What the fuck.
The only team in the east i see having a chance now us the Celtics, and that all depends on Porzingus being on the floor. Milwaukee is a very scary team now.
i cant get to remember the last time i felt so afraid from the result of a trade as i am right now.. we had block buster trades in the past few years but none of them looked so prone to success as this one
First time I see a Big Three formed without them completely destroying the team’s depth to build it since Bron whent to the Heat. Unless I’m misremembering the Heat IDK
This was a triple fuck for the Heat: lost dame, lost hope of getting giannis and the east got way fucking harder. If dame went to the raptors, or a low tier team, he could still demand a trade to the heat, but he ain't leaving the Bucks. This is the problem with hunting whales.
Rusty u can’t wrap ur head around it, now imagine being a bucks fan that have been preparing to cope with watching Dame play with the team that beat u round 1 of the postseason 😂😂
I think Beasley needs to come off the bench. Having Dame and Beasley as your backcourt would instantly make them the worst defensive backcourt of all 30 teams.
While Dame, Giannis, Khris and shooters is obviously and absurd offence, the fact they have the best rim protection in the league to go with it nakes them borderline impossible to beat healthy
Nurkic is actually a quality big man (when healthy). Knows his role, collects boards with the best of them, a viable post scoring option, far from a defensive liability. Best of all… not disgruntled.
Rusty: What the hell?! WHAT. THE. HELL?! I believe my initial reaction to the trade at first was also something like: What the fuck? What the FUCK?! WHAT THE FUCK?!?!?!
One of them is on fire, you’re in for a long ass game. Two of them are on fire, game over. Three of them on fire? You just shake their hand, and move on to the next game 😂
Every time I was thinking about the Dame situation Bucks seemed like the ideal destination. Dame and Giannis complement each other perfectly and the offence will run much smoother. Middleton sucked as a second option but he is the perfect third one. If they stay healthy they are definitely winning at least one chip the next seasons.
as a raptor fan, i’m disappointed. not because of dame alone (i fucking love dame but i wasn’t crazy about that contract), but this could’ve been a window to get giannis here, which is what masai’s goal always seemed to be. even in 2013, we almost got him. now it’s time for us to PICK A FUCKING DIRECTION. either blow it up or go all in. i don’t know who you can get to go all in besides maybe joel embiid when the 6ers inevitably implode, but you gotta make a decision.

The Bucks already have great 3 point shooters such as Brook Lopez (37.4%), Bobby Portis (37.0%), Malik Beasley (35.7%), Jae Crowder (43.6%), and Khris Middleton will be a better 3 point shooter this season.
Imagine if Giannis and Dame had spent their whole careers together.
If Jae, pat, bobby performed at their peak form, this team is legit the scariest team, with great depth as well. Only concern I have is keeping the core relatively injury free and the fact that for the first time, Dame actually has a huge pressure to win a chip, will he step up or crumble
@@fortynights1513Shaq and Kobe type shii 😂
This trade blew me away and still does. I honestly thought Portland would have a death grip on Dame and wouldn't trade him at all. Here we are about a month before the season starts and he goes to Milwaukee. Holy shit. I'm blown away this trade even happened, but I'm happy that Dame got out of that bad situation.
Now as for my prediction as to how this is going to work out, aside from injuries, another huge thing is going to be EGO. So many great teams or even championship-caliber teams on paper have not worked out because of ego problems. I'm hoping everyone can be adults and figure out that problem like men if it happens.
why is no one talking about how deep this suns team is gonna be next year lol
The Suns have to win before I care 😂 I’m a Cavs fan but I enjoy the Suns. Man they have had some clunkers in the playoffs
Because the biggest barrier for them to reach the finals remains a guy named Jokic, and this trade makes them even worse at containing him. If you think Ayton was bad at guarding Jokic, wait till you see Nurkic try to do it, if he can stay on the court, of course. :)
Grayson allen is meh while nurkic is a huge downgrade from ayton
Hope they actually win atleast one like Clyde and Olajuwon did
Every Heat fan is mentally crying in a fetal position
Yep this hurts but fuck it heat in 5😭😭😭
They can trade for Jrue now lol Portland and Miami can reengage in trade talks
@@Simon_Sez the sixers are tryna get jrue as well

Bro is gonna be up all night thinking about a bunch of big buff men.
@@abscinding😭😭😭
"Barring health there is no chance they dont win a championship" that was said about brooklyn
I expected him to go to the Bucks, but that was my Giannis/Bucks bias... I didn't think it would happen. I was thinking that its smartest move for both... But I thought that it was going to be the Heat.
you know is a big video when rusty is showing genuine emotion 😭😭💀
As a heat fan I’m absolutely depressed and I hate the NBA now 😂
Lol same. Lets hope Jacquez and Jovic are good considering we lost gabe and max 😂
This is quite literally the 3rd off season in a row where we got arguably worse than we were previously
Suns filled out their roster a bit, but depending on Nurkic to anchor a defense doesn't sound viable to me in 2023-24
Hes really bad on defense
Kobe has 6 rings if he gets CP3
I'm surprised the Blazers actually traded him to a real contender. If Dame is gonna complain about this situation, he really is trying to run from the grind
it’s just crazy they have some of the top scorers at all three levels, dame on the perimeter, middleton in the midrange, and giannis in the paint
Can't wait for dame to request another trade. Lol
Mans was so sure he was going to the heat🤣🤣🤣
Miami and Dame coming together to sabotage Lillard's trade value worked out really great for the Bucks.
How did they do that?
Just keep in mind that Lillard is a liability on defense, and so is Middleton, so, if it comes to stopping the opposing team it will be interesting to see, and being better than the Nuggets, we shall see.
0:12 Nahh, it was on a few folks' radar. I heard a couple of podcasts discussing the idea of Jrue getting up out of there for Dame.
Two of my favorite players in the league since Kobe retired playing on the same team? Amazing
Dame first ring would make me cry
"Whatttt?!" My literal thoughts when i saw the notification
I can't believe some ppl are downplaying the move 😂 I'm a Sixer fan, so I'm not happy about it, but Dame, Giannis, and Middleton is gonna be nasty. Giannis is a winner. He's not gonna let this chance slide out the window. Imagine Dame as option TWO?!
Honest question regarding draft pick trades:
What is the limit to how many years in the future a pick you can trade can be?
7 years
@@michaelgieseler2799Thanks.
Side note: Imagine how many draft picks teams would demand and give up for top tier players if the Stepien rule didn’t exist.
Jimmy is going to be super motivated next year, Bucks better watch out.

So they have no young talent or even rookie-scale contract role players incoming, no assets to trade for younger players down the line, not a market that gets big free agents, the rest of their team except Giannis is in their mid-30s already
Of course its still worth it for Milwaukee, this might get them 1-2 more rings in the near future, but odds are strong the 2028 29 30 Bucks picks are when it's 34-year-old Giannis, role-players, G-Leaguers, and an Antetokoumpo brother. The Blazers have to be salivating over these picks. It's very possible they end up getting 2 or 3 top-5 picks to put rookie-contract stars around a contender with prime Scoot and Sharpe and whoever they draft next year etc
Miami fans mad about this also gotta know Miami will likely still be at worst a play-in team indefinitely, being a stable org in a destination market who can get star free free agent.
I think we’ll look back and say that this is a combination that could’ve worked better six or seven years earlier.
Stephen A and Shannon Sharp mentioned it yesterday.
Officially done with ESPN and all these media outlets, damn everybody had it wrong lol
Dame goint to Milwaukee was a bigger suprise than 9/11
For the love of god, just get Jimmy some fucking heeeelp
My dream just came true with this duo 🔥 i’ve been praying for Dame or Luka paired with Giannis for a really long time now
If I’m the bucks I would even think about running crowder at the 2 for defense.
The blazers got more that the heat were willing to give them and they still did good by Dame. W
Woj stated that Jrue holiday is probably on the move. Can we get a video in it?
i cant get to remember the last time i felt so afraid from the result of a trade as i am right now.. we had block buster trades in the past few years but none of them looked so prone to success as this one
First time I see a Big Three formed without them completely destroying the team’s depth to build it since Bron whent to the Heat. Unless I’m misremembering the Heat IDK
Gotta love the quick upload Rusty🔥
This was a triple fuck for the Heat: lost dame, lost hope of getting giannis and the east got way fucking harder. If dame went to the raptors, or a low tier team, he could still demand a trade to the heat, but he ain't leaving the Bucks.
This is the problem with hunting whales.
Dame went from looking at beach houses in miami to apartments in milwaukee 🤣
That intro is basically everyones reaction
Rusty u can’t wrap ur head around it, now imagine being a bucks fan that have been preparing to cope with watching Dame play with the team that beat u round 1 of the postseason 😂😂
I think Beasley needs to come off the bench. Having Dame and Beasley as your backcourt would instantly make them the worst defensive backcourt of all 30 teams.
I kinda wanted to see Giannis play with Steph in a few years, but
Giannis x Dame is gonna be CRAZY💀
While Dame, Giannis, Khris and shooters is obviously and absurd offence, the fact they have the best rim protection in the league to go with it nakes them borderline impossible to beat healthy
Nurkic is actually a quality big man (when healthy). Knows his role, collects boards with the best of them, a viable post scoring option, far from a defensive liability. Best of all… not disgruntled.
Bucks came out of nowhere woj dropped a nuke 💣
Rusty: What the hell?! WHAT. THE. HELL?!
I believe my initial reaction to the trade at first was also something like:
What the fuck? What the FUCK?! WHAT THE FUCK?!?!?!
Dame didn't leave the grind, he just took a few steps forward and put himself in a better situation.
One of them is on fire, you’re in for a long ass game. Two of them are on fire, game over. Three of them on fire? You just shake their hand, and move on to the next game 😂
Hopefully the coaching doesn't let the tremendous amount of talent this team has down
Watch Dame choke under pressure now when there are expectations for first time in his career.
Thanks for interrupting your shower. We needed this 💯
Same person saying Middleton is a remarkably good 3rd option also saying they cant comprehend Nurkic on the Sun's is wild to me.
After I heard bout the trade, I immediately thought "Whats Rusty's take going to be?"
Yup, me too!
This is the real potential second coming of Shaq and Kobe. Not Embiid and Harden
Rusty really trying his best to jinx this
I refreshed my RUclips saw the notification and immediately clicked. Holy shit man
the modern day kobe and shaq
Any game that's close (think Boston vs MIL).... imagine Dame hitting a 35-foot BOMB at the buzzer to win the series!!! 😱
He didn't suck, the man dropped clutch performances time and time again in the playoffs and a 40 piece In the final
I’m begging Rusty to say Max Strus the right way
as a raptor fan, i’m disappointed.
not because of dame alone (i fucking love dame but i wasn’t crazy about that contract), but this could’ve been a window to get giannis here, which is what masai’s goal always seemed to be. even in 2013, we almost got him.
now it’s time for us to PICK A FUCKING DIRECTION. either blow it up or go all in. i don’t know who you can get to go all in besides maybe joel embiid when the 6ers inevitably implode, but you gotta make a decision.
Im a life long bucks fan and Im hoping this won't be a Westbrook to Houston situation where it looks good on paper and not in practice.
I love Jimmy Butler crying like a little bitch over it.
