My hubby was happy you were doing root beer. He is a recovering alcoholic for 32 years. Watching people drink doesn’t bother him much anymore, but it’s nice to see someone associating story telling with a good root beer! Thank you from a family that loves hearing your stories.
Storytelling is a lost art. Probably why our ancient culture is mostly lost to us. Thank you for all your efforts. The simple ways in which you brought back the campfire story with real nature and not some Green screen is much appreciated. blessings.
Awesome. Thanks so much. You could compile a few over the weeks that may be too busy for you to upload, we could fall asleep to them and then you could still get monetized for them as they're technically new. Some channels do this too much but you're so steady with your uploads, no one would mind.
When the general public turns off their tv and stops watching these "chase our tail" BS tree knocking morons and start listening to REAL PEOPLE WITH REAL ENCOUNTERS they will start to gain REAL KNOWLEDGE. Thanks again Chris for bringing awareness to the subject. I love what you represent.

When you tell a story, you put me at the story’s location. I can see, feel and fear as though I were there. That’s a mark of an excellent storyteller! (The only problem I have is if my phone rings in the middle of it all. I have holes in the ceiling.) 😂🤣
Good stories! When I was very little, 3-4yrs old we lived on the Jefferson Proving Grounds. My father was also a WW2 navy veteran. My only experience in the woods there was fishing one of the creeks with my dad and older brother.
I have had some bad experiences with clickbait stories on youtube, they don't deliver anything but negativity, advertising, fear mongering, and then the algorithm gives you tons more just like it. Your stories are scary and have a sense of authenticity, not to mention how you tell them out in nature. I feel like this is your gift, storytelling, and you are extremely good at it. I have many stories that I need to put into a book, all true stories of strange things I've experienced. Life is really weird and wonderful, we don't have to make it up. Thank you for entertaining me, and for inspiring me to get good at sharing my own stories.
liked this story about the redwood. I lived in Oregon for a year going to a community college in Coos Bay in 1985 and when I moved back to Kansas a friend flew out and we were going to drive my car back amd have a road trip. My mom had taken me several years before to see the redwoods and I wanted Peter to see them. Unfortunately we got to the Redwood forrest in the middle of the night in the pitch black. This was before the age of digital cameras or cell phones but I had a Nikon 35mm camera and high speed film so we found a huge redwood by the side of the road and I was taking pictures with Pete and this huge tree trunk behind him illuminated by the headlights. We heard a rustle in the underbrush, which was so thick a rabbit couldn't go. We got quiet because I expected an elk to break out to the road. It sounded heavy and as the sound got closer it was clearly on two legs. The sound increased its pace and and louder until we both ran for the car in terror and raced away. I think it was bigfoot. I can't imagine a man out there in the middle of nowhere in dense woods without a flashlight. This was probably January 1986.
Hey Chris! Just found your channel tonight, and wanted to say something about the Jefferson Proving Grounds. I live about 45 minutes from there and my dad used to do the fire extinguisher inspection for the entire facility, once I showed him this video he told me that there was always a certain part of the grounds that just overwhelmingly creeped him out. He would never linger too long in the open. Almost running from his van to the next building. He is just glad to finally have some information that justified him not being crazy. Thanks!
chris. your stories sometimes bring shivers up and down my spine. the way you tell them, makes one feel like they are experiencing the event themselves. SPOOKY. thank you for scaring the hell out of me. LOL.

Happy Halloween, Chris. Best Storyteller with Great Stories from Deep in the Woods. No wonder your Subscriber number keeps on growing. We get to see awesome places in Californian wilderness while telling your stories. I believe that Sasquatch, though frightful to see, are just like any other territorial creatures who keep their boundaries. I have not heard of any killings made by Bigfoot unlike those stories about the gruesome killings of werewolves, skinwalkers, wendigo, and of course, humans with criminal minds. Keep hiking, Chris❤️

Can’t wait to see what you have in store for actual Halloween weekend!
That last story took place 93 miles away from where I am now. When I was a kid I thought the Bigfoot phenomenon was exclusive to the PNW. Yeah, sometimes I wish I was still a kid. Great stories, perfect for a chill before bed!
Wow, three stories - amazing! There sure are a lot of Sasquatches knockin' about in the woods looking for humans - as food! Still, I'm more scared of people than anything else because so many people are not human but something evil. Your story telling is always amazing, Chris! The way you tell these stories really gives the listener the feeling of being there and experiencing the story rather than just hearing about it. Beautiful scenery and interesting beers - that vanilla root beer sounds particularly delicious! Did it taste like vanilla ice cream? Lol...

I'm wondering if it might be possible to hear some more ghost stories, or perhaps other cryptid/strange happenings or creatures for halloween? I like all of your tales and I think maybe this is a good occasion for those too!
Seeing you tell these stories with autumn lit up in the background makes me wonder just how these encounters would've fared with the talent of a storyteller like Washington Irving. Autumn really brings out the imagination.

Chris, I always love hearing you tell these stories! I wondered, going into the forest or back out, to tell the stories, or perhaps at some other time in your life, have you ever seen or heard anything unusual like the people in the stories that you convey? Happy Halloween!
I like how you have found a niche. ☺️ A lot of people who cover cases have it researched and tweaked and narrated, usually quite well. Basically, a documentary style, in greater or lesser degree. However, it took me a bit to realize you're not doing that kind of a story presentation. Yours really are as though somebody is sitting around a campfire and spinning a good tale!👍🏼
Love your channel, tonight's stories were great! I'm an ex Minnesota too, living in the PNW. There are certainly tons of encounters around here particular Rainer.

I'm wondering if it might be possible to hear some more ghost stories, or perhaps other cryptid/strange happenings or creatures for halloween? I like all of your tales and I think maybe this is a good occasion for those too!
The music that you add on to these stories makes the hair stand up on my arms, keep doing what you doing, I love your channel!!!
I just found your channel a couple of days ago and I can't stop watching . I like the way you tell these stories
Welcome aboard! Appreciate it!
Camping is "in-tents!" Good one ,Chris.
I’ve binge-watched most of your videos so I’m always glad when a new comes up. These were fun stories tonight! Happy Halloween! 🎃 👻
Seeing you tell these stories with autumn lit up in the background makes me wonder just how these encounters would've fared with the talent of a storyteller like Washington Irving. Autumn really brings out the imagination.
Great Halloween stories, Chris. As always, very entertaining.
I look forward to your videos! Love the root beer as an option and the pumpkin Jack-o’-lantern . Spooky fun!
Thanks so much!
I’m always checking my feed for a new video from you Chris. Your videos and stories are the best. Keep up the great work!! Happy Halloween 🎃

Northern California Yucca Man!
Yes!
Great stories Chris.
I just checked the doors.
Mt Rainer...I have heard that!! Looks like a great area to relocate to!
Don't you get scared walking out in the dark after reading Sasquatch stories!? Love your channel, you are a lovely bloke and a great storyteller. Thanks !
