Totally agree!!! Those pens are not secure and those babies rely on you to keep them safe. Worse, you cooked meat next to them, then we t inside to eat it while they became bait! Awful Personally I dislike those things at any campground because this is what people use them for. Sad😢
I'm a Professional Dog Trainer. Sir you've got a great set up, but I have one serious recommendation. You need to cover your dog pen with a net fastened to the metal panels. Because one day you'll watch as an eagle, hawk, or an owl attacks and flies away with your sweet dogs.😢
Hey Larry! Yes, it can get a bit creepy hearing things when you're out in the middle of the forest. Good on Mason for alerting ya. I always like having a dog around because they will definitely let ya know when someone or something makes a noise. Here at my house, Ziggy will definitely let me know if he hears anything outside...ya gotta love them fur babies!!💙 Mason and Marty are the cutest babes. Mason looks at Marty like...kids, what can ya do!🤣Wags and wet kisses from Texas!🐾😜

I was camping by myself a few years back and toured an old house that had been moved to the campground. The guide was telling us that the house was haunted and NatGeo had made an info segment on Bigfoot sightings in the area. Much to my surprise everyone had left during the day, camp host, a guy staying in the yert at the end of the row. That night I heard a slap on the side of the camper. I cut my stay short and called to see if I could get a refund for the unused time. I told the lady my scare and she said it was probably a panther’s tail that made the sound.
I hope your not leaving Mason and Marty outside overnight, they should be in the cabin at night,....ok feel better seeing them in the cabin with you, they are so darn cute babies!!

Interesting. Have you ever tried not having a fire? When I solo backpack I don't have a campfire. A fire commands all your attention and you miss everything going on around you. It's amazing what you hear. BTW, Charro style beans (pinto beans) are the best vegetable to accompany a steak. Thanks for the video.

Doggos were on the bed while he was eating! You even very obviously see him put Marty and a bowl of water back into the pin after he finished eating! Stop judging and telling people how to live there lives from a keyboard! You do better! And I agree that was definitely a tree knock.

Hearing unexplained things in the woods is pretty normal, one time in the early morning i heard what sounded like animal trotting next to my camper, once i got up and out i saw moose footprints right up next to my camper. Pretty neat experience but i wished i saw that one.

Always here creepy stuff. My dogs want in as soon as it gets dark up there. I have favorite spots but at night I am snug in bed pretty much. Super creepy when the elk call. Best wishes.
You should not leave your dogs outside. I live in a city and our neighbor let her mini dachshund in her backyard - 15 minutes and a bonvat got her. Sad. Wild predators do not care if your dogs are in a fence. Those babies are precious. Please keep them safe!!

But i saved a little necklace box after i saw your other video with fluff from the dryers in my building when i did my a laundry lol ppl asking me what ibwas dlin with it. I said its for fire starter. Then i started thinking i could get those mcdicks ketchup things. Like theybsued ro out out floride in at school n if i use some lard and maybe some other stuff i could make some nice fire starters for when i go again lol figure i could add colour maybe some gold flakes n shiny silver sprinkles hahaha 😂

You can see the pups on the bed behind him while he is eating. At 11.50 you can see them moving around a little bit.
I mentioned before about Coyotes but other things could grab em when your not looking. Please keep em inside at night.

If I hear something and the dogs sleep through it then I dont worry. When they perk up and stare into the forest....then I pay attention.

The puppy playpen is a great idea.
