Thank you for your video!
Recently had 10” mini apes installed by dealer…after riding for a few miles i realized i need bars adjusted.
Did not want to make arrangement with dealer for adjustment.
You made my day with this easy video!
Great to hear!
Great help. Truly appreciate it. New to doing my own work … and your video was straight forward without a lot of fluff. I appreciate that
Great video. I’be been debating on adjusting my bars but didn’t want to deal with the headache. After seeing this simple method I’m definitely going to try different positions. Thanks.
Bought a stock 15 RGS that fit me perfectly at 6’1” I must of lucked out because the stock bars fit me perfectly in the factory position 7 years later. Glad you’re back👍
That is awesome, very good tip and saved me a bunch of time. Thank You
Thanks so much. You definitely simplified that process
Unbelievable timing.... I had been thinking I was going to adjust my bars forward a little bit. Honestly I wasn't concerned about how or the whatevers because I've changed bars a few times. After seeing your video I was 👍 yes I am liking this.... Took me maybe 10 minutes.
Thanks....
Great to hear!
This was exactly what I needed. Got a 21 Street Glide Special yesterday and it has 14” aftermarket bars. I’m 6’ and they feel too tall. Hopefully I can pull them back a tad and be fine. I’d hate to spend $ switching it back to stock. Which felt perfect when I test-rode a similar bike.
Perfect. I didn't want apes just a little bit higher. I turned my stock bars up to the highest setting and that little bit made at least an inch or two of difference.
GREAT Video. Thank you!
Yes indeed. Big Help. Thanks!
Thanks a million worked like a charm best video
great videos thank's, can we see one on steering bearing adjustment nobody has the adjustment for 2021 new style
Can you tell me what model of bars those are? Also this should be identical for a 2022 Electraglide standard?
Great content. No BS.
How do you do the same on a road glide?
Thanks for showing this easy process after all it’s not rocket science
That was helpful thanks. Wondering if that simple for my ‘18 Tri glide? Stay safe.
And also I would like to do this for my 2024 Triglide. Did you do it? Any complications?
Work really well. Thanks for the tip.
I torqued mine to 20 after a bar install and they still seem loose...any suggestions?
Thanks for the Tip
I have a 21 SGS, Once you open up panel you can see the bolts but no direct line to apply wrench to remove them, clearly the fairing has to be pulled away.
That's why you use the ball end Allen wrench, it allows you to get on those bolts at an angle without pulling the fairing away.
Good information thanks for sharing
Excellent thank you
Thanks 👍🏻
Thank you, this was extremely helpful…
Glad it was helpful!
Went on a 320 mile ride after the adjustment…. No pain or discomfort…. Thanks again
Great Tip Awesome!!
many thanks
Thank you
How are you liking the 12" versus the 10" you had on your 2015? I am asking, as I am thinking about taking the 10" off and swapping out for 12 inch on my 2014 StreetGlide Special.
p.s. great tip. I have done that when switching my bars in the past. And you are correct you do not want that knurl wearing out the softer metal.
Not sure I like either one better. They are different for sure. The 10s seemed to give tighter control when turning slow like parking lots or U-Turns. The 12s feel better for long rides for my hand level. The 10s though keep my hands behind the fairing which keeps them warmer for winter riding. Pros and Cons for both.
@@RideitWrenchit absolutely correct about the higher bars and turning I have the 12” KST bars , they sure are comfortable for me
Just switched to meat hook 12s on my 2015 sgs and absolutely love them would never go back to stock and I'm only 5'11
My TPMS sensors are all of a suden reading 340 and 280 instead of 36 psi and 40 psi looks like somehow they are reading in KPa do you know if you can change between PSI and KPA ? I see nothing on line or in my owners manual! Thanks
From the home screen click "Setup" (gear icon). Scroll to "Metric Units". Tap that and it will change to "English Units". then go to the info screen for tire pressure and it will now read in PSI.
@@RideitWrenchit thank you I figured it out I have no infotainment just speedo screen I appreciate you help!!
Thanks
Great video thank you
Glad it was helpful!
Newton Meter Bolt??
I ran over some railroad tracks and they slightly came down on me. I was headed str8 to the HD shop but decided to look it up on RUclips and wallah!!
Same thing happened to me on my 2012 FLHX, crossed some railroad tracks that were pretty rough and the bars came down. Glad the video saved you some $$,
Great quick tip 👍🏻 and thanks
Iv used many of your videos. 14 street glide. Ca.
Thanx
No problem!
Is it the same for 2017
Yes
@@RideitWrenchit thank you very much gonna do it it's weird someboddy cut me off when I hit the brakes must of torked on my handlebars they came down a lil weird
Glad your ok! Sounds like the bars might not have been torqued to spec to begin with if they moved on you during a hard decel.
Isn’t a road glide a touring bike?
We all don't have a new bike can't afford thanks for 22 information good luck
👍✌️
Great video if you have a brand new bike. Other than that...not so much.
The "ridges" are actually calle "Knurls", a common engineering term
not helpful I have a 2012 and you didn't get into how to do it, so please re label your video,
HD POS waste of time sell it
Thank you,
