Because they had to make raids at least a little difficult
It was actually harder in d1 because in hard mode there was no revives while in d2 there are revives except you have to do it in 2 and half minutes which is A LOT easier

I love watching your videos, but, one thing i realize after gaming on PC for the last 16 years is that consoles are fucking awful lmao. Watching your D1 videos literally gives me a headache. the FOV, awful resolution and even worse fps makes me wonder how the hell people can play games on console anymore. Not to mention the clunky as hell movements because analog sticks blow donkey nuts. I wish they would re-release D1 on PC so that the game could be experienced on the best platform. I think it would really re-invigorate the community too given the current perception fans have of the IP.

In D1 it actually feels dangerous, like at any moment something is gonna kill you, In D2 I literally just drop the controller and go use the bathroom and come back without ever worrying about anything. Really shows you which games was fun and which is rather boring.
