    Native German speaker here. I know I am late to the party, but I have to say, I am impressed by how well you pronounce all those words. And yes, the W in German is pronouced simmilar to the V in English

    Thanks to you I felt more secure about getting a 6 month subscription to Babbel to improve my French and increase my vocabulary and I have to say it's been a lot of fun! I've lived in France for about 6 months now and your videos made me feel more confident speaking with others here even if my French isn't top notch! Looking forward to see your German progress! Best of luck! :D

    This is such a brilliant video, Aurella! You’re right: there aren’t many beginner beginners on RUclips, especially beginners who have the approach to languages that you do (and I think most people do). Not everyone thinks grammar is exciting and “LangTube” is dominated by people more like me who are excited by grammar and pronunciation and so on. So thank you for making your videos, because I think they’re so helpful. (Also you look so beautiful) xxx

    I really recommend watching at least the opening of Cabaret, ‘Wilkommen’. It’s a musical theatre song so it’s very clear, and has everything in English French and German. Very good for small phrases!

    I‘m a native German and I speak Standard German because in my region there‘s no dialect spoken, so we speak „High German“ here and when you started the first lesson and you pronounced the 3 sentence „How are you? - Wie geht‘s?“ you actually pronounced it perfectly, like, if anyone just heard that they would think you were a native speaker
    Just wanted to tell you that because you kept looking in a weird way like you did it wrong but it was perfect haha

    Hi :) i'm also learning German and yes. The "w" is like a "v" and the "v" is like an "f" and also, the German "r" is like the french one so you already have experience with that. :)
    Do you think is possible to pass the A1 level test using the 6 begginer levels in Babbel? Tell me with your experience in French.
    I want to pass that test for a visa. 😬😓
    I'm from Venezuela 😊

    • @SarahsParacosm
      @SarahsParacosm  6 лет назад +2

      Ah, I understand now, thanks Kimberly!
      Yes I think you'll be able to pass probably up to A2 with the 6 beginners courses. With the 6 beginners + 3 intermediate I got up to level B1.
      You can hear a lot more about my experience on my Babbel videos playlist: ruclips.net/p/PLbODW-Ywtw075kuI1YkePIRH3KZ8K9Qd-
      The 'how long did it take me to speak French?' and 'Exactly how I learnt French' videos are probably the most relevant to your question.
      Hope this helps :)

    Yes, you are correct the German 'W' sounds like English 'V', also notice a few other sounds are like that - switched. Grab any book it will have those sounds in it - then it will make more sense to sit down to Babble and work it. This is what I am doing now ...

    I really like watching the process of people learning a language so this was a cool video to watch. I think some people learn a language and then talk about it on RUclips and make it seem like it's an easy thing to do! Also I recommend using the podcast Coffee Break German. I have never studied German but I used Coffee Break French and Spanish to study French and Spanish and it was so helpful. There are free lessons that you can listen to and I would write stuff down as you listen so you can look over it. Good luck with German!

    I’m from Germany 🇩🇪 and learning Russia 🇷🇺 since we have 2 Ukraine 🇺🇦 refugees at home. So I gave Babbel a try. My parents are from Kazakhstan 🇰🇿, where you generally speak russia but we live in Germany so I had never to learn Russia until now. I will definitely set up a German Babbel account for both of the refugees! I can’t Wait for uncountable questions about „der, die and das“. It’s hard af when you didn’t grow up with the German language haha

  • @LiaMarieM900
    @LiaMarieM900 6 лет назад +1

    Oooooohhhhh this is cool. I've never seen how babbel actually works.... I'm doing rosetta stone for French right now but I also have a book for learning French as well because I got it when I was younger and it wasn't helpful at all... I feel like I know a bit more now so it might be good to try some of that book again. I do really like the babble way too it seems very good. So would you pay per lesson or could you pay for all of it or what? I would definitely have to wait if I wanted to try it but it seems cool!

    • @SarahsParacosm
      @SarahsParacosm  6 лет назад +1

      Hi LiaMarieM900,
      When you buy the subscription you gain access to all the French courses until your subscription ends. The length of subscription (I believe) are 1 month, 3 months, 6 months, 1 year. The price per month is cheaper the more you buy at once. Not many people know this, but if after the first week or so you don't like it, you can actually request a refund too.
      If at any point you stop paying for a subscription, you can still review all of the vocabulary you learnt and all your progress is saved if you want to re-start again in a couple months.
      Glad you found the video helpful! :)

    Comparing to your own language is slowing down the process extremly. Think about any baby on the world. It never will compare or questioning anything. Just listen and form your lips and keep things easy and seperated to anything you know. Clean slate is the best way learn a new language. Any baby in the world does this, with any language and any dialect. So can we.
