the game limits your throttle until the safety car is in the pit lane to avoid the leader running past the safety car on the restart. its the same reason engineers tell their drivers "safety car is in", because thats the earliest point that the leader can start
But why is there a need for throttle limiter. As Jarno said, if you cant drive slowly behind a safety car you shouldnt be allowed to drive at the top level.

tbh momentum means that in real life that light of a tap relative to the speed they're both travelling wouldn't have spun anyone out, i think it was just a bad case of desync. f1 23 is p2p i think so lag is a lot more unpredictable/annoying

Someone teach Jarno, that there is a difference between: future and feature- Also mentioning, poor pedals: the 2019 f1 esports championship, was literally decided by pedals breaking. Dani Bereznay's brake pedal broke during the first two races (on a LAN btw). Had he just finished, where he was at the time of his brake pedals breaking, he would have won the title. That years title should have gone to him or Freddie, Tonizza didn't have their pace. Btw you should check out how Bereznay brakes, no wonder, he was the one to brake the pedal, but it is still a shame.

The throttle limiter is because the SC has not yet entered the pitlane, used to happen in 22 at zandvoort a lot.
