Those peacocks were beautiful fish Leo! Also great call on the piranha. Can't wait for more from Brazil
Epf!! I lost a Muskie in cooper river on your epf swim. New favorite lure
What a gorgeous spot. Brazil is a bucket list travel destination for me. Thanks for sharing a great fishing adventure!
Congrats on E-slaying those lifers Leo!! I'm happy for your success!! And I hope your parents have had a safe trip to the Homeland and then back to Brasil!!!
what a beautiful place to fish!
Man watching EPF fish other countries is so cool
I love the new fishing locations, Leo. It's an added plus to your entertaining fishing.
Lol you were sweating more on that auntie sauce
love you so much leo!🎣
Great video, Leo!! I’m excited to see the ones from the other bodies of water that we hit.
The first one is dropping next MONDAY. Stay tuned!
Wonderful!
I am guessing next video Amazon river and Leo catching Payara
Nice one Leo! All the best to you and the EPF family!
I have to comment before I even watch you catch your first fish. Absolutely beautiful scenery. Good luck a get a few lifers.
I was fishing in a pond in Denver and an old fart was fishing with nightcrawlers on a plain hook, no weight.
Next thing you know his line twitches a little and he pulls a piranha out of the water.
It bites his line and shakes itself back into the water.
The only piranha I ever saw that wasn't in an aquarium. I'm assuming that someone had emptied their aquarium into the pond.
They also had grass carp in the same pond to control the weeds. I caught one of those on a small jig.
Very cool scenery at this spot. Was that peacock of the timensis subspecies or just a juvenile? Beautiful fish either way.
That one was a Cichla piquiti, which in Portuguese we call "Tucunaré Azul" (Blue Peacock). The temensis one is called "Tucunaré Amarelo" down here (Yellow Peacock). They are also present in thar particular reservoir; though, I couldn't find a single one during my trip to Capitólio.
Stunning view great video nice fishing 🥰🤗👋🏻👍🏻🐟🎣🐠
Banger video cant wait for the waterfall video
What an absolute stunningly beautiful location. Amazing
Beautiful peacock bass, Congrats EPF on another lifer!

Beautiful peacock Bass “Cichla piquiti” Great job once again Bro!
ur species knowledge is wild from all the years i watched u
Beautiful country
nice brazil fishing!
Now this is what I’m talking about🙌🏽🇧🇷
Let’s go epf. Still got that mf dawg in him. Love the energy
Pretty little Cichla piquiti. I wonder what size they attain.
They are actually invasive to the Lagoa de Capitólio, which is where I was fishing at. They are native to the Amazon basin, and they are one of the species within the genus that grows THE BIGGEST. I think they can attain double digits. Also, the juveniles of this species like to travel in schools. Other Peacock Bass tend to be solitary from a younger age.
@@extremephillyfishing I haven't found a lot of information on it. Cool.
👍👍👍
Howdy Leo! Loved the video. One day I hope to expand my life listing portfolio, but for now I shall live vicariously through you. Quick question where did you get that metal rod holder you were using that is shown at minute 8:30? It looks like it's hinged. Thanks bro!
Those are the rod holders that they sell in Brazil. A lot of people use them for telescopic and bamboo rods; thus, the design. I like them a lot. Here in the USA, it is the spiral one. Lol
Thanks for getting back to me Leo! I appreciate it. This weekend I hope to do some eslayin’ of the fishes with the fam!
That's a sweet pirhana
were you at all concerned about "poison ivy" and "Ticks" Brazilian version while getting to the spot? also, even tho you are "home"... do you still call yourself "The aaaaaaaaaasian" when you are just another garotinho born and raised verde amarella
One hundred percent. That's why I always take two showers a day, HAWT WATER, and I scrub everywhere for bugs. As for the vegetation, I keep an eye out for anything with thorns, etc.
In Brazil, I am "an English teacher." That's what I tell people. This way, they don't suspect you as much when you are speaking English out there. One must be careful EVERY WHERE down there... the crime rate is high, and the chances of getting mugged are NOT NEGLIGIBLE when you are flashing GoPros and cameras in the open.
This video is from April. I’ll give you a pass on the intro. Keep posting videos. I’m loving it.
All international trip videos were shot in April of 2024 while I was in Brazil. The videos from Wednesdays and Saturdays on the Channel are from May.
