I'll be completely honest: Fences on a real farm are always, ALWAYS, in need of some kind of maintenance or repair. It was honestly just part of the daily chores- water the garden before the sun gets high, morning feed, and walk around every fence looking for boards knocked loose/rot/wire or cord bent out of place or pulled loose. The pigs were the worst!! We had to fix some corner they'd busted through at least every other week. the chickens were MUCH better behaved.
Agreed. I didn't know how quick fencing could b destroyed until we were gifted a pig that fell off a truck onto the highway. After Roadway we got some pot bellies who were a tiny bit better behaved, but still way worse on the enclosures than the alpacas and chickens combined. Farm life *sigh
Oh yeah, pigs are escape artists. When I was a kid it wasn't uncommon to see the pigs in the woods on my way home. Luckily they liked me and would follow me. Anyone else had to chase them.

Hey Gab, you should put a chest at the train station with stone and a slingshot in it! That way you dont have to carry it on yourself and can always hit the train :)
You can put tappers on any trees, even trees that aren't on your farm. That way you don't have to waste farm space with more trees than you need. I like putting them on paths I take daily and near my fishing spots so I don't have to go out of my way to pick them up.
I've done this! The way to town has most of my tappers. Even if I dont need to go or can get somewhere faster with the minecart its still right outside my house.
Four month late response because I’m just finding this series 😂 but I have all my trees and taps in the desert behind the village trader. Whole lotta empty space and I’m in the skull caverns a lot anyway

I'm back for another tip! When it's the last day of winter (28th day), plant a bunch of grass starters in your farm animals' area! The next day, when spring comes, the whole fenced area will have grass (I did it and I was surprised because the whole animal enclosure got filled with grass lmaoo) Also don't forget to always use your horse no matter how small the distance is, because time is essential in this game and it should be spent wisely (whenever you hop on/off the horse, the time gets paused, but only for the duration of the animation)

I get so overwhelmed trying to make sure I pet everyone every morning, I ended up counting how many animals I have, then when I got to pet, I hold down the pet button and count how many hearts pop up. I see 21 heart, I got them all lol
Yeah I only learned a few weeks ago you can hold the right click to engage with everyone and everything on one click. I used to smash my mouse and wear out my clicking finger planting hundreds of fertiliser and seeds every new season lol
@@ichipricilia yep just run left to right and up and down all over the area you want while holding right click the whole time. Also works when harvesting crops so you can get through large harvests easier.
As someone who works part-time at an animal sanctuary, and someone who’s been really getting into Stardew within the past few months, I can say that this game is insanely appealing and relaxing to me. My sister has been playing it for years and I tried to start a few times, but being in highschool (going to be a senior this coming school year) and working at the sanctuary, I rarely now have time to actually play games for hours to days on end. But whenever I sit down and play Stardew, I get to curl up with my cat and just relax. Watching Gab play this incredible masterpiece of a game, at least to me, is just as relaxing and enjoyable! Also, once you get foraging level 10 and if you pick botanist, your truffles will all be iridium quality, and at that point it’s more efficient to sell your truffles by themselves instead of turning them into oil! Iridium quality truffle: 1,250g Truffle oil: 1,065g (Unless you chose the artisan profession, then it’s more worth turning into oil) :)
The facts that you can plant saplings in the greenhouse is my favorite little detail. It just makes it look more magical when there’s a bunch of fruit trees

It has reignited my interest in Stardew Valley and has given my ideas on what to do on my own farm - like putting mayo machines inside the chicken coop is so efficient and i've implemented it in my game. And it's so relaxing watching you play, sometimes I even play on the switch while watching your video :) It's also really cool seeing all the new features that are in the PC version of the game

There appears to be no Fishing Guild that gives little missions for monsters that you fight in the Mines. I do not know if he has a tracker and I am surprised he is not like a "Fishing Museum" where you have to give him one copy of every fish you have caught. Then after every milestone, he gives you a reward.

if you don't want to have sprinklers on the wooden border in your greenhouse, you can put four trees in the two unwatered rows, since they don't require you to water them anyway.

That woman seriously revised her life goals and values during the story. But all the characters rely on you and your help in your friendship and love story. Fish and sugar is actually used in a “Korean Natural Farming” product, so it actually makes sense. I think we use it in our soil for the chicken area, to get rid of the stinky bacteria. Idk much about it, lol. Just a fun fact.
Void chickens are most definitely worth it imo. Void mayo sells for almost the same price as duck mayo, but they produce eggs daily. I replaced all my normal chickens (except one blue one) with void chickens because its actually a better profit

I love your playthrough. It got me back in my own farm on stardew. The one thing that I do differently than you is I hoard everything until the end of the season. I sell everything all at one for one big payoff.
Today was the finale double whammy of catching up with the latest stream yesterday and watching this today! A full weekend of Stardew lol. The planner is truly a life saver when it comes to mid-late game on planning. Everyone is shaping up so well! You’re going to be a multi millionaire wine empire in no time! a nice aspect of the game is just sitting back and listening to animals sounds, like the goats, pigs and ducks and cows all sounding out at the same time.

helpful tip! if you leave the stumps on the trees they'll regrow so you can just keep getting wood from trees if you want them in a specific place!
Started playing Stardew on my Switch after a couple videos haha. At first my sis was like: maybe we can play this together (cause we were looking for a game with MP and still fun and relaxing) and was considering it. if you don't want to have sprinklers on the wooden border in your greenhouse, you can put four trees in the two unwatered rows, since they don't require you to water them anyway.

Fish and sugar is actually used in a “Korean Natural Farming” product, so it actually makes sense. I think we use it in our soil for the chicken area, to get rid of the stinky bacteria. Idk much about it, lol. Just a fun fact.
Void chickens are most definitely worth it imo. Void mayo sells for almost the same price as duck mayo, but they produce eggs daily. I replaced all my normal chickens (except one blue one) with void chickens because its actually a better profit
