Look, I agree on the fact that these blocks NEED to be extended upon, but shows like PPG, CKND, FHFIF, etc just won't be on the block... I will say this tho, they HAVE been doing something very cool on Mondays, which is also something you forgot to mention, currently they have What A Cartoon Show airing from 6 to 7, and starting next week they'll have Cartoon Planet, the older one, return back on those same days and same times too...
With Toonami Rewind, they need to play some of the other classic anime and shows that used to air on the block. Some examples include Gundam Wing, Yu Yu Hakusho, Rurouni Kenshin, Samurai Jack, the classic Dragon Ball seasons, Big O and other examples. As for Checkered Past; bring in Cow & Chicken, Time Squad, Evil Con Carne, Codename: Kids Next Door, Camp Lazlo and all the other classic Cartoon Cartoons. Heck, branch out and bring in some other shows like SWAT Kats or show HarmonQuest, since that show is probably under Zaslav's ownership now
Ok, we definitely need some anime classics, but this time uncensored. Then some cartoon Network favourites like Dexter's lab, Powerpuff girls the 1998 version, cow and chicken, courage the cowardly dog, samurai Jack... And if we're still going to be dealing with reboots, then let's get a SWAT catch reboot that is more focus on the darker aspects are the show before it was censored.
I agree with you on everything. Checkered Past: It went from airing four shows back to back a week to just two shows each an hour, for a month before changing it, and even then the variety is low. Toonami Rewind: A two hour block and only three shows with one getting the hour treatment. I agree they could've picked so many others shows that aired on Toonami in the past, but they only have these three which I feel like I've seen enough of, especially OG Naruto. Acme Night: I used to wonder what they had selected, but as of late they only picked WB movies for adult audiences. And personally for all this I blame Adult Swim wanting to eat up more run time than it ever had in the past, and targeting more adult audiences to compete with the streaming service Max. So yeah CN just isn't the way it used to be despite their attempts to bring back great retro cartoons and anime
