Hi Nick This bus was owned by TR Group leased to Sky Bus in Auckland for city to airport and tarmac work hence the reason for the beacons being fitted to the roof
Hi Tim , thanks mate , I eventually saw the old sky bus sign inside above the windscreen 😜 But yer thought it must have done airside work too with the rotators , thanks for confirming that .
Hey Nick, how have things been? These videos on Bentley Coaches have been very interesting so far, as they bring something different to the fleet compared with the two main bus companies in Dunedin - Ritchies and Go Bus. It’s cool to see you driving a Scania for once, as opposed to the usual Volvo’s. How do you find the driving of it in comparison?
Hi Jaxon , good thanks, your self ? Agree, nice to have another operator in town with an interesting fleet of buses. Enjoyed the Scania , haven’t driven one for a few years, and they were tour style coaches and ex ninety mile beach ones I used to drive up the ski fields. All good buses . This is the first urban style Scania I have driven . Doesn’t feel as refined as say a Volvo B7R urban bus , but very nice driving position and fun to drive.
Interesting you say you find the Volvos more refined, I've worked for a few bus companies (Bentley, Go Bus, Ritchies, Red Bus) so have driven both Volvo and Scania buses, and I found the Scanias 100% a nicer bus to drive.
