The doctors and nurses who were on duty at the hospital that night deserve more recognition for dealing with a war scene out of the blue. It must have been totally overwhelming for them, but listening to some of them here , it sounded like they snapped into action and did everything they could to save lives, despite the numbers and the chaos. Heroes of this whole tragedy.

I agree with you. What the Sunrise Drs, nurses and other staff did that night was nothing short of miraculous. They may have all been professionally trained in trauma but not of this magnitude all at once. Hearing their stories as well as some of the victims and their loved ones really solidified that belief. There were many heroes that horrific night. So very sorry that so many lives were forever changed by this tragedy.🙏🏻❤️🙏🏻❤️

@borarider669 nobody said everyone needs recognition. They said the medical staff who dealt with the shooting deserve more recognition.

It's not something you forget. I can only imagine the context made this more brutal. I was there with my mam and grandad as they took their final breaths. I know the change he's talking about. The skin begins to take on a pallor in the final hours or minutes, then a sallow grey as life leaves. It's somewhat of gradual process during an expected death. I imagine the transition was far more quick and terrifying as the young lad died. Probably of bloodloss, and probably with agonal breathing. Awful.

Bc once you experience that level of grief, you’d never minimize or deny someone else’s. I have a friend who was injured there in Vegas - a dancer and yoga instructor, she was shot in the knee. PTSD and a knee that’ll never be the same. But at least she’s still alive. I can’t imagine the devastation of those who lost loved ones. To have people disrespecting them? It’s like the Holocaust deniers. Or the Sandy Hook deniers. Kids people!! Those poor families to go through that and then have people demeaning their child being murdered?! WTF people?? Surely our founding fathers never imagined the first amendment being used like this. Sorry for the rant, 9 months later!!

I remember going to bed and hearing sirens but not thinking anything of it. Little did I know those were the sirens of emergency vehicles that were rushing to save people's lives. The morning of October 2nd my mom woke me up at like 4 or 5 am in a panic and every one of our frequently watched channels were just breaking news and updates about the shooting. I was a freshman in school and I remember we didn't do anything at school for that week. The ambience of the entire city was just so dull and unrecognizable compared to the usual. Driving past the Mandalay Bay and seeing the boarded up window and driving past the festival location was bone chilling and uncomfortable. I remember visiting the crosses/victim memorial to pay my respects and how quiet it was and how heartbreaking it was to see people on the floor crying for their loved ones. Seeing the overwhelming amount of people donating blood and helping was something very heartwarming. I wish I could've donated blood at that time. My heart goes out to everyone who lost their lives or someone and to those traumatized by this tragedy.

Can you imagine having to walk past that place after that? Just seeing another cross added and added wondering when it’s gonna end. Blood all over the ground, people’s hats and shoes and phones. How long did it take to clean all that up, and who has the stomach to do that job? Wondering who’s blood your cleaning and who’s hat you picked up and threw away, whether they died wearing it or are alive, terrifying

It's so sad to see all of these people videoing and planning out their fun day, meanwhile some disturbed people are planning a whole different day. I was able to make it to 37 minutes without crying and it was so hard to pay attention and not just sob. I am so very sorry to all of those who were living their best life and they were cut down by a madman. I can never and will never be able to understand what you all are going through. Rest in peace to those who passed and may God continue to hold those who survived and those Police officers and medical professionals who witnessed the horror that human beings can do to other human beings.

And it will happen alot in future even now. You Americans just cant understand isnt You? You allow people to buy weapons how much they want. From Glock to Ar15 and so on. Are You out of Youre minds allowing citizens to buy these things? Thats why here in Europe You dont hear about these tradic things that much, because we cant buy weapons so freely and so people who lose his mind cant shoot 80 people dead before shooter males suicide. Just ask Youre goverment why they still allow to buy you weapins after all this is happening, no really. I want to hear real normal answer why weapon buying like ar15 is allowed. But i think You Americans love so much weapons so yea its for You normal to store automatic weapons in Your Houses. And thats only problem Yiu guys have there, allowing to buy weapons and do nothing about it...

I passed a sign today that I’ve passed many times before “Sonny Melton Highway” and I briefly explained to my kids this tragedy and who he was which led me here. Beautiful documentary and tribute to the heroes. God bless everyone touched by this. Years later and it’s sadder for me. I never looked into the details of this shooting because it’s bad enough to know someone could be so cruel to do this to innocent people. This is the 1st footage I’ve seen from that night and I’m in tears. 🥹
