FOX5 News presents 1 October: One Month Later. A documentary dedicated to the victims and heroes of the worst mass shooting in modern U.S history. #VegasStrong
The doctors and nurses who were on duty at the hospital that night deserve more recognition for dealing with a war scene out of the blue. It must have been totally overwhelming for them, but listening to some of them here , it sounded like they snapped into action and did everything they could to save lives, despite the numbers and the chaos. Heroes of this whole tragedy.
I agree with you. What the Sunrise Drs, nurses and other staff did that night was nothing short of miraculous. They may have all been professionally trained in trauma but not of this magnitude all at once. Hearing their stories as well as some of the victims and their loved ones really solidified that belief. There were many heroes that horrific night. So very sorry that so many lives were forever changed by this tragedy.🙏🏻❤️🙏🏻❤️
@borarider669 nobody said everyone needs recognition. They said the medical staff who dealt with the shooting deserve more recognition. Your comment is stupid and without a point
It's the bravery and selflessness of people in the crowd helping one another which stirs me. If my time ever comes, I hope I'd have the balls to help folks like so many others in this horrible situation did.
@@kippertrace5808pretty close. There were a lot of brave people that day. Ypu have to remember that it wasn't just people in the floors hit effected. Boiling fuel melted through floors and windows along with debris and... people. People on the ground and lobby were badly burned and injured.

@@Makeluvnotwar we often talked about travelling to LV with out family, imagine the chaos in a foreign country trying to keep your babies safe. I go back to this vid many times in disbelief.
12:05 - 12:40 that interview with the man talking about how he watched him change color was hard to watch you could see the sadness and the trauma in his eyes.
It's not something you forget. I can only imagine the context made this more brutal. I was there with my mam and grandad as they took their final breaths. I know the change he's talking about. The skin begins to take on a pallor in the final hours or minutes, then a sallow grey as life leaves. It's somewhat of gradual process during an expected death. I imagine the transition was far more quick and terrifying as the young lad died. Probably of bloodloss, and probably with agonal breathing. Awful.
This is the most amazing account I’ve seen. Great job honoring all those who were lost and all those who were injured, police officers, paramedics, fire, nurses, doctors, car drivers, and the regular people who became hero’s that day. This needs to be shared worldwide.
So senseless. I remember a year ago when this happened. I was at home here in Sweden and I cried. Why? Why? That's a question we can ask a million times but it will never be answered. My heart goes out to all of you who were affected by this madness. I was affected and still am. America and Americans have been in my heart for many years.
Well done documentary. Very emotional, the trauma experienced by everyone at the scene, the healthcare staff, the police. ...Such a spiral and compounding effect.

slottig - So glad you wrote that, very well said. I can only reason it as people who have never experienced a sudden, horrific loss like this. Bc once you experience that level of grief, you’d never minimize or deny someone else’s. I have a friend who was injured there in Vegas - a dancer and yoga instructor, she was shot in the knee. PTSD and a knee that’ll never be the same. But at least she’s still alive. I can’t imagine the devastation of those who lost loved ones. To have people disrespecting them? It’s like the Holocaust deniers. Or the Sandy Hook deniers. Kids people!! Those poor families to go through that and then have people demeaning their child being murdered?! WTF people?? Surely our founding fathers never imagined the first amendment being used like this. Sorry for the rant, 9 months later!!

Ik I'm late but I remember going on RUclips that day at the time it was 20 dead and about 120 wounded in a shooting at a concert. Then maybe a hour or so later that's when the death toll was 58
i remeber watching this unfold on the TV i just remeber sitting down and almost crying because of how many people's families dont know that they're son/daughters isnt coming home. Rest easy angles you all will be missed deeply
May all the victims rest in peace, and my heart goes out to thier families and those who were in attendance. Also for the local law enforcement and EMS first responders, God bless you and you're all truly hero's.
I was at work and watching the shooting unfold by 10:20pm on TV at work. Once the death toll was up to 20, I immediately left work and went straight to my moms house to make sure she was ok and called my sister who works at the New York New York. Luckily both of them had the night off and they were safe at home. It was such a great relief to hear my family was safe. It was like 9/11 all over again, because I was living in NYC during the attack as well. My heart was so sad for all the victims affected by this senseless tragedy.
I remember going to bed and hearing sirens but not thinking anything of it. Little did I know those were the sirens of emergency vehicles that were rushing to save people's lives. The morning of October 2nd my mom woke me up at like 4 or 5 am in a panic and every one of our frequently watched channels were just breaking news and updates about the shooting. I was a freshman in school and I remember we didn't do anything at school for that week. The ambience of the entire city was just so dull and unrecognizable compared to the usual. Driving past the Mandalay Bay and seeing the boarded up window and driving past the festival location was bone chilling and uncomfortable. I remember visiting the crosses/victim memorial to pay my respects and how quiet it was and how heartbreaking it was to see people on the floor crying for their loved ones. Seeing the overwhelming amount of people donating blood and helping was something very heartwarming. I wish I could've donated blood at that time. My heart goes out to everyone who lost their lives or someone and to those traumatized by this tragedy.
So much respect for al those strong people!! You may be verry proud!! Much love and stay strong to the people that have lost a loved one... RIP from Holland
I went to Vegas twice a year for many years from Georgia until this happened. It’s July 25th 2022, and I still can’t go back. I still hear the gunshots, and still have nightmares. This is one of the best documentaries about the Vegas shooting incident, very well made. Sad, but absolutely shows the best of the best people officers, civilians, survivors and hospital staff who all exhibited heroism and courage. Sad and very surreal accounts that were heartbreaking, through the tragedy I see so many heroes and strength of everyone involved. Vegas you are Strong and inspirational, you make me proud to be a American! This is what America is about, taking care and protecting others. All anti-Americans and haters should learn from these wonderful accounts and wonderful people! God Bless the victims, survivors, all first responders, nurses, doctors, hospital staff, all they have helped and prayed for those involved and America.
When tragedy strikes ppl really stick together. Out of all the sick individuals in this world this video shows me all the hero’s and ppl who would help others in horrible circumstances
I balled my eyes out fathers mothers brothers sisters grandparents sons daughters were lost , to see how the police and community came together was amazing, I wish people could come together again I stead of seeing police and the community fight against eachother and people hate the police
I remember this day very well and I remember my family equating this to the same as 9/11. It's amazing how one man can hate so many people at one time... Rest in peace people.
I fully remember when this happen. Was at work when we hurd about this, call my mom when i got home to make sure her and my sister was ok. My husband called me when i got home and stayed on the phoune with me untill i got home. Such a sckarry thing happening on your home.
Man bless every single person who experienced this! The bravery exhibited by everyone affected is miraculous. As a veteran my inate nature and training couldn't have prepared me to deal with something of this caliber but what do you do in a situation like this!....... you just spring into action revert to your training and make shit happen. God bless these victims and first line responders.
Good point that is kind of an assholeish move. But then again it is easy to point fingers. But the why did he run off are there technical difficulties one boggled my mind. You had a chance to run.
@anonymous true. Similar to the Station Night Club fire, it's not at all the performers fault but they as people were in the best position to sound the alarm so to speak.
No one knew what was going on. How severe it was going to be. Hell, no one could even believe it the next day! I’m sure the performer holds some blame, but he shouldn’t. Half the people were saying it’s firecrackers halfway through the attack!
@@justlikehoney1859 no one is victim-blaming, he's fine, he didn't see loved ones shot, blood everywhere, he's no victim. but he knew, the way he ran off that stage, he knew, ppl died bc they thought it was something to do with the show, he could've said something, but he only thought of himself at that time. you don't run off the stage bc you think it's firecrackers!! one word could've been said(run) !!!
Rip to all of the victims and casualties of the las Vegas shooting. I still to this day have more than a thousand questions that NEED answers but it's hard when it's been hush hush ever since. And the moment I heard that the patrol officers responding to the scene were forced into signing a NDA (nondisclosure agreement) I unequivocally understood that we had a genuine cover up in progress and that is a sad sad tragedy in and of itself
Jason Alden booked it straight away. You think he’d have used his mic and loudspeaker to tell folks to take cover or something. Not everyone knew right away how serious this was.
Can you imagine having to walk past that place after that? Just seeing another cross added and added wondering when it’s gonna end. Blood all over the ground, people’s hats and shoes and phones. How long did it take to clean all that up, and who has the stomach to do that job? Wondering who’s blood your cleaning and who’s hat you picked up and threw away, whether they died wearing it or are alive, terrifying
Bless ya Cynthia you are a hero.. yes you do the job you do because you love it and love the fact that you can possibly save people's lives I would imagine but this definitely makes you a hero and you deserve a medal for what you do.
to think that ONE sociopathic person caused ALL this, hurt SO many people, is nearly impossible to comprehend. but ive never been so proud of my country..we have the BEST first responders, nurses, doctors..people. people who were next to each other risking their lives to help each other is such a beautiful thing. praying for EVERYONE. love always
This Is VERY SAD AND BAD !!!!! GOD BLESS EVERYONE INVOVLED !!!!!! And It Is GREAT HOW EVERYONE GOT TOGETHER TO HELP EACHOTHER !!!!!!! GOD BLESS THE WORLD !!!!!!
It's so sad to see all of these people videoing and planning out their fun day, meanwhile some disturbed people are planning a whole different day. I was able to make it to 37 minutes without crying and it was so hard to pay attention and not just sob. I am so very sorry to all of those who were living their best life and they were cut down by a madman. I can never and will never be able to understand what you all are going through. Rest in peace to those who passed and may God continue to hold those who survived and those Police officers and medical professionals who witnessed the horror that human beings can do to other human beings.

Well in the 4 months since I busted 6 liars/ fake heroes of this sham. Don't use emotion. Use critical thinking and common sense. Ppl shot don't heal in 48 hours and give msm interviews. Bullshit💩. Plus I know 2 people who live in Vegas and said it all a HOAX
jason walters , the one that I can’t wrap my head around is Melissa. I did notice in this video where they are going into his room, before they say “ breach breach breach”, he says “ make sure Stephen is out of the way”- or that’s what I heard. I’m about to listen again.
Sad...is the only word for this. For all of it. Nothing ever changes. We've had so many, far too many, of these events. We sing songs, talk a lot, hang flowers and cards on fences, but nothing ever really changes. It just keeps happening.
And it will happen alot in future even now. You Americans just cant understand isnt You? You allow people to buy weapons how much they want. From Glock to Ar15 and so on. Are You out of Youre minds allowing citizens to buy these things? Thats why here in Europe You dont hear about these tradic things that much, because we cant buy weapons so freely and so people who lose his mind cant shoot 80 people dead before shooter males suicide. Just ask Youre goverment why they still allow to buy you weapins after all this is happening, no really. I want to hear real normal answer why weapon buying like ar15 is allowed. But i think You Americans love so much weapons so yea its for You normal to store automatic weapons in Your Houses. And thats only problem Yiu guys have there, allowing to buy weapons and do nothing about it...
I was Neighbors with 1 of those victims who died there and he just bought some property in Arizona b4 he died I recall him talking 2 his son 1 day about his other son who they were talking about getting him into a rehab I can only imagine how his family is doing
R.I.P. Sonny Melton and the other angels. I’m from Sonny’s hometown in Tennessee. I passed a sign today that I’ve passed many times before “Sonny Melton Highway” and I briefly explained to my kids this tragedy and who he was which led me here. Beautiful documentary and tribute to the heroes. God bless everyone touched by this. Years later and it’s sadder for me. I never looked into the details of this shooting because it’s bad enough to know someone could be so cruel to do this to innocent people. This is the 1st footage I’ve seen from that night and I’m in tears. 🥹
I wish someone from Jason Aldean's band or SOMEONE who had access to a microphone , and /or whoever it was that alerted Jason Aldean would have also warned the crowd !!!!! Maybe some of those lives could have been saved if they would have the chance to lay down , run for cover, etc !!
I can't imagine walking around seeing tags on people color coded based on dead, alive or wounded. All they wanted was to go to a concert and have fun. Then only a few hours later. Your tagged. I can't imagine. God bless us all!
Seeing all the cards, flowers and candles for the victims of this horrific crime broke my heart into a million pieces. Hearing the accounts of events from family, friends and front line workers also brought it home. All the innocent lives taken, destroyed and long term physical and psychological damage is almost beyond comprehension. My heart truly goes out to everyone affected. God Bless America. R.I.P All those who didn't make it out😭😭😭😭😭
Can’t even imagine what people saw watching someone infront of you just drop and all the rest they saw I don’t think I’d could handle it. All my prayers still to everyone
Seeing all the crosses, really made me sink. That’s SO many. SO many. All they wanted to do was go to a concert, and they lost their lives for it. 60 people gone, thousands of lives changed forever, cuz of one man. Those crosses never seemed like they were gonna end
Some sick ass people in this world! Who the hell goes to a damn resort hotel with that much ammunition and opens fire during a concert?! So heartbreaking!! God be with the victims' families. May they rest in peace.
The people who stepped in and did what needed to be done to save other humans makes me so proud to be a human. Proud of them. Thankful for their courage and I hope they’re living good lives. I hope all the surviving people are living ok. May all the ones who lost their lives watch over their people. Wow.

You can tell there were many "heroes" that night. They don't like being called that but they ran into danger or had the chance to run away from it but chose to stay to help others, those are true heroes!!
R.I.P to all of the victims of this senseless act, I hope the survivors have found some sort of peace since this horrible night.
May 2022 watching this and it's still so overwhelming #VegasStrong
Fox 5 you have outdone yourself this time, very moving, very touching. If there is an award for best news documentary, you should win first prize. #vegasstrong forever
Barry Deditch no not with this video thay dont thus should be pulled because thus will just encourage the nest nut job this is what thay want to be on the News be the center of attention well when we stop giveing them what thay want this wount happen as often anymore
Whatever, everyone else thinks its great and you come in and say it should be pulled. They are not talking about the shooter, they are talking about the people that helped.
Very well done!!
@@countryboycitylife3482 so far yhey havent even mentioned the shooter once and I am near the end. Lol c'mon this is about resilience and how humans act in the face of massive catastrophe.
what baffles me is how advanced those firearms ae to go undetected and be that quiet
Let's remember that being critical of America and its systems that allow incidents like this to occur are important discussions that need to be had.
This is horrible imagine the switch. Having a good time all of a sudden you see people die and almost die yourself. Horrible.
This was nicely done.
God bless all the victims who were injured and lost the lives! So senseless and awful! Hurts my heart so much!
R.I.P to all. Heartbreaking What a tragedy
Enough. This was enough. Orlando was enough, Sandy Hook was enough. Killeen was enough. Uvalde was enough.
When tragedy strikes ppl really stick together. Out of all the sick individuals in this world this video shows me all the hero’s and ppl who would help others in horrible circumstances
My heart ♥️ truly goes out to all of you victims 🙏 and what a disgrace MGM have been to all of you , I’m so sorry 😞 for your losses 🌏
Prayers 😥😥
The interviews were interesting and touching.
So Jason Aldean couldn’t have alerted the crowd to get on the ground or disperse? He just ran!
That would have meant less people dead and screw up their narrative.
Good point that is kind of an assholeish move. But then again it is easy to point fingers. But the why did he run off are there technical difficulties one boggled my mind. You had a chance to run.
my stomach turns while watching this video, I can't understand someone doing this to so many strangers.. and why?!
The man on stage singing should have told his fans to run because someone is shooting at them
Lol hes a pussy
HE DIDNT KNOW WHAT WAS GOING ON JUST LIKE EVERYONE ELSE BUT KEEP VICTIM BLAMING WHAT A JOKE
Fine job on the documentary....... Fox5 Las Vegas.
Jason Alden booked it straight away.
You think he’d have used his mic and loudspeaker to tell folks to take cover or something.
Not everyone knew right away how serious this was.
You're so right! Then that wife goes nuclear stupid!
I saw this on the news and I’m from Las Vegas so I honor those people who were from the concert and lost their life
Bless ya Cynthia you are a hero.. yes you do the job you do because you love it and love the fact that you can possibly save people's lives I would imagine but this definitely makes you a hero and you deserve a medal for what you do.
to think that ONE sociopathic person caused ALL this, hurt SO many people, is nearly impossible to comprehend. but ive never been so proud of my country..we have the BEST first responders, nurses, doctors..people. people who were next to each other risking their lives to help each other is such a beautiful thing. praying for EVERYONE. love always
As he was fleeing off stage, could Jason have maybe said something into the mic warning the crowd? Ijs🤷🏾♀️
To see people fly our nations flag with such pride and peace made my heart smile .
and to all of those who lost loved ones I’m beyond sorry
Why is your profile pic Richard Ramirez? A SERIAL KILLER... and you watched a documentary about a mass shooting do you condone violence? Murder? I'm just curious and eager.. and not to sound like a smart Alec but why is your username "no one cares" when you clearly care by commenting. :)
@@Human1136 apparently you’ve never heard of true crime fans lol 😂 just because it interests me in no way does it mean I condone anything and my user name is no one cares because I honestly just don’t give a shit anything else you’d like to know ??

i cant watch ths,wow just too much to handle,im so sorry to all the loved ones that died
Completely chilling.
Did the mother who had to be left behind make it? I kept waiting for an update on that interview with her daughter. Great video! 💜💜
Vicki Holloway no she passed :(
Yes she passed into fake death heaven
jason walters , no I can’t accept that. 😕. 😭
Absolutely horrific.
I was Neighbors with 1 of those victims who died there and he just bought some property in Arizona b4 he died I recall him talking 2 his son 1 day about his other son who they were talking about getting him into a rehab I can only imagine how his family is doing
God bless the souls of the victims and everyone who helped. This is my worst nightmare.
It was mine too and then the same thing happened to my Walmart here in El paso. Stay aware of your surroundings and always carry for your own safety.
Thank you for mentioning the shooters name. It's so important to never do that.
Excellent documentary.
I know it may seem insensitive but does anyone have the music played in this documentary, particularly the classical music?
Carl Jones love the music closest I can find is “Brooks was Here” from Shawshank. An orchestra remade it as well. Sounds close.
I can't imagine walking around seeing tags on people color coded based on dead, alive or wounded. All they wanted was to go to a concert and have fun. Then only a few hours later. Your tagged. I can't imagine. God bless us all!
Everyone who died may Rest in Peace, the man who did this deserves to feel the pain and broken hearts of everyone who lost someone #VegasStrong
NovaAndTheGecko I think you mean "men"

May the guy who did this may he Burn in Hell

Did the mother of that girl who, had to leave her mom behind survive?
yes, she did!
It's crazy how there are so much people wanting to do harm to others in this world
YNXXXZ Hydro • evil is random my friend, stay vigilant.
YNXXXZ Hydro • while that is true, for every 1 person that wants to do harm, there will be 100 people who want to do good.
R.I.P All those who didn't make it out😭😭😭😭😭
Why should GOD Bless ONLY AMERICA ? Selfishness in Thoughts too....
Can’t even imagine what people saw watching someone infront of you just drop and all the rest they saw I don’t think I’d could handle it. All my prayers still to everyone
My deepest sympathies and condolences to the fallen victims of the Las Vegas massacre.
That taxi driver at 18:30 needs a medal for his driving.
Why do I not remember hearing about this??? Was it not in the news much?!
RIP to ALL that parished 🙌🙏🏼💙
I like that they focused on the victims and hero’s and not the shooter💛🇺🇸
Why does the helicopter fly over the building for? 13:19
So sad
Wow.
So sad to think that a human being could do this to other living things. Heartbreaking.
I could do way worse :)
It wasn't "A" human being... it was multiple human beings.
@@Ready4Whateveredgy
The people who stepped in and did what needed to be done to save other humans makes me so proud to be a human. Proud of them. Thankful for their courage and I hope they’re living good lives. I hope all the surviving people are living ok. May all the ones who lost their lives watch over their people. Wow.
