I spent about 3 hours with four different support reps , UNSUCCESSFULLY, trying to get my new Samsung A03s phone set up. Old LG Tracfone did not require a password, had to invent a password. Phone cuts off before I can enter password, says password is incorrect, cannot proceed with setup, old phone not working, new phone will have old phone number if/when set up. Tracfone support reps in Bombay (?) have thick accents, speak too fast, seem to be working from a troubleshooting script, not able to diagnose and fix problems. Hope I can get a support rep with English as first language and technically able to help me get phone set up and usable. Have been a Tracfone user for many years, this is not my first disaster with support reps getting phones working.
This didn't really help me. I've never had a Smart Phone before. I have no idea what to do with the serial number. The Tracfone website doesn't have an obvious place to enter the serial number or information, unless I've already owned a Smart Phone before.
I agree. Not user friendly at all and anyone that has not had this kind of Phone that requires more steps should be able to do them without being kicked out or having it locked. Where in when do you enter Password or pin either.
@@pamdubsky8476 I ended up having to call some number directly to the company, that wasn't even on the website (it was buried in the phone packaging and somewhat hidden).
Overall, it was a simply process to actually get the phone up and running (only took me like 2 minutes, and even helped my mom with hers afterwards), so I don't understand how they couldn't have communicated this easily, instead of making me research it myself.
Tracfone can't even fathom that you may have bought a new phone because your old phone is broken. They give no other option but to send a verification code to the old broken phone.
I am having that exact issue. On the phone the Customer service rep could not understand why I can't remember the numbers I have texted most recently. Still waiting on activation because I don't know if it is really in process or have they lied to me just to get me off the phone? Why are they allowed to operate like that?

Not the complete activation steps
Straight Talk / TracFone told me to send them my phone and they was going to send me a new one. I told them if they don't send a new phone I would like the old one back because I now have a trey that holds the stimulus and SD card. It's been quite a few months now in many phone calls to them and they just won't send me a new one or my old one back. It was a TCL 30xl which I paid $174 for. They're always saying they're sending the phone to wait three to five business days and that has been told me so many times it's not funny. Finding a lawyer that will take the case is not easy when you don't have a lot of money because you're on disability. But when I do obtain a lawyer I am going for the full amount with mental anguish because what they're doing to me is totally wrong. And they don't care about what they're doing to people. Mark my words I will find someone to help me eventually. I have the papers from when I sent the phone I have the times and dates that I called. They even lied to my case manager at the mental facility two times. If I can just find someone to take this case there's no way they would get out of this

tracfone use to be good cellphone CO. but any more they can't do any thing right and wen i ask to speak to a manager i get hung up on. i got hug up on over 5 times befor my wife talked to some one there now mind you i have been with tracfone for over 30 plus years but now it looks like i am going to go to mint where i will not get hug up on wen i ask to speak to some one that could help me. if this is what you are looking for Eduardo Diaz Corona then you are doing a very good job of it and tracfone will be no more in no time

You need to purchase a card plan which can be found in most stores.

Dumbest crap I've ever seen. Don't have a phone, so buy one...aka a tracfone. Only for tracfone to say call this number, and text this number! What a damn joke.
