If you're looking for triple triples the 98 Yamaha SRX 600 or 700. If you're just looking for a 6 or 700 triple long track the 97 or 98 mountain max is a good choice. I don't think you could go wrong with any of them. However if you could find a long track SRX which are triple triples I think you would be impressed. Not only do they rip but they sound amazing, they have their own distinctive roar.
I remember the triple/triple days, what a great time. I had zrts, had buddys that had xlt and xcr,f3 and srx.i can say this stock out of the box the cat,doo and yammy were close l, it was back n forth.the polaris triple was never close.my good buddy had an xlt and put slp pipes on…i believe those pipes added 15-20hp to the 600 polaris triple.now that helped get in the game with the rest.after that.we all started doing stuff to our sleds.friendly competition drag races n such.what a time
I got an XLT triple touring sled that is a lot of fun. Probably pick up an old mountain sled this winter. These machines are classics. Ive even got a hotdogger on the exhaust.
Yamaha had the V-Max 4, didn't come out with the triple till about 1997 with the Red Head SX 700. they also got rid of the pogo style front suspension and went to trailing arms.
Dude, this video just brought me back. Loving your content man. Making me want to get back into the older sleds. There's one thing you forgot about when you said the fun of the '90s. That's the handlebar smashing your knee when you're trying to turn. How else are you going to remember that you went riding the day before?
It's cool that you can enjoy all these snowmobiles when you're clearly an Arctic cat fan. By the way the Yamaha SRX red head triple is a legendary snowmobile lol
Thank you for doing this, great sleds! Brings back great memories! I had an XLT with pipes and loved it. I road with friends that had the Powder extreme AND THE MACH III. I spent a lot of time riding in the areas that you filmed in. Thanks again, keep it up!
Probably most comparable Yamaha would be an SRX mountain. They only made them I thing for 1998 and 1999. Not easy to find. 700 triple triple. They also made mountain max editions with the 700 redhead single pipe. Or you get get the big dog vmax 4 ST/mountain. Yamaha pretty much sold a long track version for all of their machines.
I'm sure somebody has said it, but the seat on the XLT doesn't seem to be attached at the back. On the first run, you can see it flopping around on the jump.
We try to go up beaver after they close, and the hill climbs. Try and have a good time in the sun. Donno if you want to come up this year would be cool
Srx Yamaha 700 triple still sounds the best hasta be the one with triple Pipes stock I believe would be like a 99 to 2001 year great sounding machines great sounding sleds also 1999 skidoo Mach Z triple great sounding sled triple pipes stock 2 😎
I agree with the 99 Ski-doo Mach Z big Ole 809 triple triple. The Mach 1 with the 700 triple triple is a great choice as well. Stay away from th 98's the pipes $ucked on those. I think we are giving Rocky to many choices, lol decisions, decisions Rocky. 😂
Yamaha had the 1993 v max 750 which was a 4 cylinder sled cool concept but not real fast !! The vmax 600 were dogs around 90 hp never seen one on the gun hit 100mph
Arctic cat Powder Extreme and not the ZRT 600 ? My old 98-AC Triple touring , tho it's slitted modded tho ,will murder the Powder Extreme. Still i love old school sleds ,i will always preferer Suzuki

SLP pipes made it sound good cutting in the trees of medicine bowl forest in Wyoming/Colorado best place to ride
I lived it 90’a snowmobiling was amazing.
That XLT was my first full size sled an having pipes

Thanks for the support! Old sleds are just as fun as the new ones!
Spot on ,on every level! Lake & trail, avoid the powder
Good to see someone enjoy sleds from my haydays
A mountain max 600 with a set of power inc pipes, they are center outlets. awesome set up.
Yamaha had xt 600 twins in 96 but 97 came the 700 triple that was so good it changed how the company operated
Mountain max!
Sounds like my old sled to a tee

I’m glad you enjoyed it! These sleds are a lot of fun!
awesome, you describe them just as I remember them had an XLT loved it and sounds the best
1997 mtn max, find one with pipes it would be sweet
I’m a skidoo guy. Always have been. I love the formula series. They handle well, have tons of power and are just awesome.
They are ugly tanks😂
@@MidnightPolaris800 not as ugly as the 70’s and 80’s Polaris and Arctic cats.
I enjoy the channel! You're enthusiasm is fun to see.
Glad you enjoy it!
Glad you enjoy it!
3 in a row makes em go🔥🔥🔥

Great video ! Love that purple screamer
I commented on your other video about this skidoo !! I new you would be impressed Skidoo makes good shit!! Thats why i drive skidoo!!!!!!!
Needs mountain max to complete the group
We try to go up beaver after they close, and the hill climbs. Try and have a good time in the sun. Donno if you want to come up this year would be cool
yeah my 92 indy 500 does pretty decent in the pow but if you have about a foot and your going up a hill you really need a run up.
Dude we should get together and ride some old sled! I love the video!

Awesome!!!!!!
Get the he yami, they sound the best in my opinion
Guys falling for the XLT... its ok. we wont tell anyone 😁
Yamaha sxr triple 1998 or srx same year both 600 tripples.
Nothing sounds as cool as a greasy triple
I think those piped xlts like higher rpm like 8500+
Mountain max 600 triple or 700 triple
Gotta cut weight on all of them. Plastic skis and probably gear them down. I know cats were always geared way to high for mountain riding
Yamaha had the 1993 v max 750 which was a 4 cylinder sled cool concept but not real fast !! The vmax 600 were dogs around 90 hp never seen one on the gun hit 100mph
Yamaha would’ve had the vmax 4
Yamaha triples rip! Look for an srx or mountain max.
that f3 600 still didn't sound right unless it was just the video
It had a light weight can on it.. I agree strange sound..
Yamaha mountain Max 700 triple
700 mountain max
