If Ermes had faced Vitaly without these 3 months of work on his hand and wrist he would have lost, precisely for an anatomical issue, but with just 3 months of this work he made giant strides which allowed him not only to win but to concede 1 only pin from Vitaly. Great victory against a very strong Vitaly, certainly the strongest Vitaly ever, (don't make the mistake of thinking that this is the same Avitaly who faced Dave Chaffee). Ermes must continue with the work done in the last 3 months and within another 7-8 months he will be ready to put Larrat in the kennel 😀

Ermes already coming back to get his top spot. He won against a a guy that has an insanely long leverage, and that was Ermes weakness. Just imagine what he can do in the future. He is a completely different beast now.
To me this is a monumental win for him he has the capability to fight longer levers and this after fighting Devon taking the loss like a true champion does and learning everything he can from it. It has been a shortish time to gain new skills and develop strength in weaker areas and he did it. I expected this from Ermes but that doesnt make it less impressive.

Vitaly hand stamina isn’t the best and going to a flop just drains it. I think he should continue doing what he’s doing. This match was razor close and the fact that there weren’t running fouls saved Ermes a couple times so clearly Vitaly doing fine. Training a press won’t hurt I just doubt he can get an elite one. Who knows tho
Great Match, both are so powerful, two warriors; Ermes is training so hard, making improvements on hand control and wrist power. He is very young, I believe his potential is insane ! By the way, I wish Ermes and Laletin all the best !
And it would still not be enough to beat Devon. And btw. Devon keeps his pronator way better than Vitaly. Vitaly doesnt really turns his arm to engege pronation his style is different. He graps lower he doesnt rise he holds pronation in an akward position. So the styles differ I still think Devon would win from Ermes at the moment
I m an Ermes fan but Devon would probably beat him again if they face very soon. In 1 year it may change.those 3 months of hard training were really needed today but he ll need a longer time for Devon

haha yep. but thats Vitaly's fault tbh. he knew how to beat Ermes (just emulate Devon/Kurdecha), and gassed before Ermes. he didn't pull wrong, just didn't have the stamina do finish and keep it up for 6 rounds. a bit tragic to be honest, he could have been the Nr.1 contender now.
