Lake Serene is a bear of a hike (those stairs!!!!! But worth it.), and that rescue footage -- holy crap! Someone's gotta do it and I'm glad they do, but wow. The falls are gorgeous.
@@AlmostHomestead we did it in January a couple of years ago; Forrest's idea. I had no idea what I was getting into and was a bit out of shape. Those stairs were killer; not sure if just switchbacks would have been easier. But the lake, and watching the avalanches, were awesome.

Man what kind of training was that? Hit the rock and try not to drowned😂 Some strong swimmers. Cool put our course and what a great hike. What a beautiful bowl. It must get apt of wind, judging by all the blowdown. Ha the perks of being young, your body hasn’t started to fall apart yet😂
Yeah, when the one swimmer went under it was a little alarming. 😳 Man, we did two other hikes after this one and I was feeling old trying to keep up with the young buck. 😁
