When this CD came out, I had it on play 24/7 as I played World of Warcraft. My friend and I called it our "WoW music" and shit it was. Hearing this RE-IMAGINED takes me back to 2006, to how much life was easier. Thank you for making this, I literally cried because remembering so many of people I met in online-gaming and in these fantasy worlds. I'm 33, and still love MMOs.
I rarely ever like remixes but all of these are incredibly done with a personal touch while retaining the essence and sound of Angels & Airwaves. Awesome work!
We don't need to whisper is one of the few albums that I will go back and listen to every couple of years. When my wife and I were dating, I showed her this album and IEmpire, I think that made her fall in love with me lol.. This is an amazing reimagining of an already awesome album. Awesome work
Omg The War 😮chills, goosebumps, Toms voice sounds so clear and amazing. Thanks for making a boring shift doing records at the hospital so enjoyable as I listened to this over and over.
I don't follow angels an airwaves very much. but Tom delonge I've followed since the bink 182 day's. His ability to write from the heart and with his true emotion behind it & his ability to relate with millions of people in many way's. it is why he does so well Cause so many other musicians lack that in there music.
So many artists these days lack the sheer ability to connect with their fanbase or on a more personal level the crowds at their shows. I've been lucky enough to see Angels and Airwaves 3 times and all 3 times the shows have been at smaller venues which I felt added to the ambiance. If I could offer you a solid piece of advice find a show that you can make on their upcoming tour. You will not be let down or disappointed.
Listen to the album Love Part 2 by Angels and Airwaves. It is definitely their best work, and I’ve been listening to Blink 182, Boxcar Racer and Angels and Airwaves since 1999
Beautiful man, this album has stayed in my rotation since 2006, this isn't my first time listening to this version, but I just felt compelled to tell you how awesome and interesting this is, thank you.
I remember being a kid going to my first Warped Tour at the the Gorge in Washington and I had this crazy energetic connection with(you) Tom Delonge and your music. You were in blink 182 then. But when you released We Don't Need to Whisper as Angels and Airwaves, I had just gotten sober and something in me flickered. I felt a connection to the cosmos and to the whole living universe in a way that has set me on the path inward that I'm on today. Tom, thank you, you have truly helped me piece my soul together, and this album just helped bring into view the triangular energy field running from forehead/ third eye, to each palm and back to the forehead. This is new for me, but I can see it and sense it. You're amazing boy, sending all my love to your family and you- Your c0sm1c sister 😘
I did not think the music of Angels & Airwaves could be improved. You've proven me oh so wrong. I'm reliving these songs again... for the first time. Thank you for this.
It's taken me 2.5 years and 183 listens to decide my top 5: The Adventure - feels like it's own song without losing the magic of the original. Pre-verse is beautiful and the outro chorus feels powerful. Distraction - love that catchy synth in the verses and the chorus is really smooth. The Gift - the fu*king gift man. The pre-chorus piano is lovely and then it flys! Good Day - most unique take on the album for me. Prefer this to the orginal. The War - That intro! Feels like Jared Leto had a baby with Tom! Fight me.
Not gonna say this is better than the original album but it's different, fresh and I love it. Thank you! Very cool to hear different versions of songs I know so well.
Incredible job on The War. I have to say, AVA is my favorite band and has been my favorite since WDNTW but seeing all your work across all their albums just makes me really, really appreciate what you've been doing here. I've loved every second of what you've done.
i especially love the little piano melody you added to the prechorus of the gift!! literally i like that section more than the one that was on the album

Phil Johnston haha I’m glad you got that feeling my friend! The War was nearly left untouched just because I absolutely love it how it is! It’s been such a sweet ride! If you listen to songs from Love III compared to now in just over 6 months the mixing has improved massively!
Beyond The Ever After Love 3 is amazing but yeah you can really hear the improvements you have made over the last few months. Are you going to do more AVA stuff? You haven’t done a lot of the i empire record yet and you have only done like 3 songs from love part 2. Would love to hear what you would do with songs like behold a pale horse, my heroine and the revelator. Love part 4 perhaps on the cards? 😉
Phil Johnston I’m not sure I will do an album just now, but I have a whole load more AVA remixes done and I’m just figuring out what to do with them! I have something I am working on that will include them though, they will come out soon!

Maybe if Tom ever releases the instrumentals/vocals, I can finish off I-Empire, I have most the instrumentals but no good quality vocal tracks to finish them!

If it comes to it, Magic, Secret Crowds, Lifeline, Sirens, Call to Arms and Love Like Rockets all have good quality mixes! But the True Love one and Heaven I have done are my favorites yet and it’s a shame they may not be able to come out!
