IMPORTANT THING that most GT7 VR players dont know is - for anyone wondering how to adjust the in game wheel to be higher or lower, or away from you (the driver), or closer to you, simply lower your head (while you have the psvr2 headset on) and keep pressed the option button if you want the wheel to be higher, raise the head+hold the option button if you want the wheel to be lower. Lean/move your body toward the wheel and keep pressed the option button if you want the in game wheel to be further from you, move away from the wheel+hold on the option button if you want the ingame wheel to be closer to you. So, play around a few times until you get the desired position.
yeah... or you know, they could just let us set up default head position per car so people wouldn't need to make awkward positions at the beginning of each race. :|
A good match between the position of the virtual and real wheel is indeed important for having a good feeling. Also, a big offset can promote motion sickness.
@@ToxiKnator I'am not talking about the FOV which you set up depending of your screen size and distance from it. This you not have to do in VR due to the headtracking. You see the world always in the right scale.
I have a PCVR setup as well (using a Rift S) and I have Assetto Corsa and it's awesome but (for me at least) what I find more "immersive" is the Graphical look of GT7 on my PSVR2. The textures and overall "realism" is really impressive and it just "feels real". BTW, when running GT7 in VR there is also an added mode in the replay menu that lets you view your race replays in VR mode (it puts you at specific points along the side of the track and you can watch the cars speed by,,,it's pretty amazing watching race replays in VR!)
I like the psvr2 but I also have a 4090 with a quest 2 and I still think with mods assetto Corsa is better. It’s much more sim like and with a 4090 all racing games look so good. But for the price psvr is good.

@@exgeeinteractive ACC in VR is poor. All the other games set your graphics settings and forget. With 2070super I get 80-90fps all day no changing settings. IRacing per track fps varies and that game needs a complete engine overall. Once you have independent front and rear bass shakers, wind simulation, and motion. It’s impossible to leave pc. I do love my ps5 though. I just wish GT could get some love in the physics department.
True, I haven't played a lot of regular first person shooters since I've first tried VR in 2019. Certain genres on flat screen felt almost instantly outdated to me even with all the issues VR still has.
@@MT-qu4tk I disagree. Vr is far better than monitor. Being full 3d life size scale and being able to move your head to look into turns is game changing.
Another youtuber i watch, BlackPanthaa, said the exact same thing regarding the feeling you get from the headset as if you wanna lean in certain directions or brace as your car moves as well as the building temptation to buy a motion rig. If this headset is really that convincing i sure as heck want to get one
Most can be. I've got an HP Reverb G2 and really do like it. I use it for iRacing and American Truck Sim mostly. It makes racing in traffic a lot more intuitive and it really helps with your perception. And on dirt, it's almost a must. Sure beats triple displays
I had the same problem with getting my wheel to work with the ps5. I have a Thrustmaster TS-XW that is only compatible with PC/Xbox. I found a product called the Ras1ution 2 that has been working great for me, and it was super simple to set up. Just plugged it into my PS5 and then plugged my wheel into it and it's been working flawlessly ever since. No need for an extra controller or anything like that.
@@niall21 you have to use vorpix. heard its ok ounce you get the settings right. vorpix from what i know just converts the video to vr so its not as good as it being built in to the game ware can just render the game as vr.
I use a reverb G2 for AC, and turn my settings as high as I can go while still pulling a consistent 50-60 FPS. AC is all about the PP filter you use, and making sure you're taking advantage of Shaders patch and SOL or PURE.
It’s sad that so many people are so salty about the psvr2, either they had unrealistic expectations or they can’t put on the headset right so they go around complaining on every channel or comment that actually enjoys and has had positive experience with the psvr2. Sony needs to get demo models into stores so people can try it for themselves it’s really the only way to know for sure if vr is worth it or not, people go around saying It’s not worth it but that’s just their own personal opinion and experience. For some just the fact that GT7 is fully playable in vr makes it’s totally worth it…
VR is so dope, can't wait for something like the Vive at the price of the Quest. American Truck Sim has been a whole new experience with the shifter knob and turn signal additions in VR.
Time to consider a Yaw 2 motion rig? Edit: haha. I noticed you mentioned the same thing! I would get a motion rig IFF it supported more cockpit type games (eg. flight).
To be clear, with a compatible wheel like G29 you only need a single USB port. For me the front two PS5 ports are PSVR2 G29. You can take corners so much tighter in VR, flat 2D racing games will never have this feeling. I fully expect faster time trial times in VR.
I would absolutely love to have a Need for Speed game of this quality in Vr. Grand Theft Auto's night time driving would look AMAZING in Vr. Just riding through the map at night listening to music or enjoying a high speed chase. Retro arcade games like the Cruis 'N USA series would be remarkable in Vr if remade with this amount of detail. Just plain fun❗
I literally got a Hori pad and DriveHub for upgrading my pedals to Fanatec a while ago (still a Logitech g29 wheel) and I can just get the regular 5nm dd for €350 rather then €600 for the GT 8nm version, so can’t wait to upgrade and PSVR2? Definitely one for the future for me
@@joeymart1n you have something setup wrong in VR headset settings then - I raced at same racetrack in real life and walked outside same car in RL and VR and default Reverb G2 setting is 100% correct to real life... same with interior measurments, size of steering wheel etc.
Great to see how well recieved this is, and hopefully it sells a lot. That aside, AMS2 is the Gold standard in VR for PC, (along with the best headset (not a Valve index) and PC you can get your hands on)
If you used a wheel, not the base, compatible with PS hardware you wouldnt need a special box, controller or anything. Also changing from PC to PS4 Mode on the wheel base is simple. Use the when you got with the CSL DD for a seamless experience.
15:51 does a motion rig work at the PS5? Because the all requires software which "communicates" with the game's telemetry and you also have to adjust a lot of stuff. How should that work?
Recently someone realized that its possible to adquire telemetry data from the PS4 or PS5 IP address, I'm playing GT7 using a Mobile App called Sim Dashboard, with it you have extra data that GT7 won't provide, like, real time tire temp details and lots more. So, there is a chance that in the future this data could be used with a motion rig.
Hey man! Before you start racing, look straight down, and recenter the screen. It'll give you a wider field of view and make you feel more proportional.
I would totally buy one given i have a Ps5, however i primarily play pc games and my wheel set up isnt compatible with ps5. I wish psvr2 was also pc compatible

Heads up to anyone thinking that gt7 is blurry in VR. It was blurry for me for days, and I'm like "let me try my kids' mother's glasses" and hold and behold, super clear. So, to all those thinking that sony lied about the VR headset resolution quality, you are wrong. You need your eyes checked. Just as I need mine checked. Shout out to the random commenter in another video that suggested to people to check their eyes/vision. ............ Fast regularly, consume mostly raw fruit/veggies, stay away from the phone/social media for a while and your eyes should be fixed. I should take my own advice. My point is to try other ways to fix your vision before getting glasses.
Yeah if the text isn’t clear when putting on the headset then it’s a problem with the sweet spot or like you said people need glasses, for this headset atleast you definitely need to wear glasses if you need them at all, unlike other displays that you don’t really need them like with a quest.

Is there an option to show the middle pillar of the halo on super formula car just for extra realism? It would be annoying on 2D screen but should be less annoying on VR.
He is using "Collective Minds Drive Hub" and I think it is an Hori mini ps4 controller (for authentification). I use my csl dd the same way without issues. You can us the csl dd as an g29 or native as an csl dd pro.
Something Im noticing in the multiple views you set up in this video: the lag time of your TV is way higher compared to the VR. That should add to immersion and accuracy.

I play with only the corner markers on cause I don’t know the tracks 100% but I can easily turn them off it’s not very hard it just takes time which some people with jobs and family’s don’t have a lot of time to dedicate to learning every single track.
Yes that’s the best part lol I’ve been doing daily races since launch. The new daily GT4 cars on trial mountain today was so much fun in vr I did like 3 races this morning, I almost missed work cause I was having so much fun.
At least it has better physics than forza which is it's only real console competition, and trust me the physics while not on the level of beam are more realistic than people give the game credit for it only looks arcady because the sense of speed is basically non existent in most 2d flat-screen racing games, on the vr it's a completely different game

Is it just me but I can't read the analog dials like the RPM or speed? can you read the in dash numbers on the dials or are they blurry? It is very annoying.
I have the same issue, everything is a bit blurry when I look at my dash. Nobody is talking about the small things. And its not that I have not found my sweet spot.
These RUclipsrs want everyone to believe the image inside the PSVR2 is incredibly sharp and comparable to a 4K OLED tv. Not sure why they feel compelled to mislead their viewers.

when it comes to racing, vr isnt as good as a triple monitor setup , we dont have the technology to run 4k 120fps through vr like you can on a monitor

feeling a little too small is common for VR, on pc you're able to scale the size of everything higher with the help of a tool called OpenXR toolkit.
no need to on PC, as by default everything is in real world life scale

Is it just me but I can't read the analog dials like the RPM or speed? can you read the in dash numbers on the dials or are they blurry? It is very annoying.
Try the new Honda F1 car. Friggin amazing. The RPM gauge is crystal clear
I have the same issue, everything is a bit blurry when I look at my dash. Nobody is talking about the small things. And its not that I have not found my sweet spot.
These RUclipsrs want everyone to believe the image inside the PSVR2 is incredibly sharp and comparable to a 4K OLED tv. Not sure why they feel compelled to mislead their viewers.
@@pinokio3785 its clear when its centre if your screen. If you just look down with your eyes it is blurry. Definitely gt7 problem. Other games dont do it.

Or use nothing and just learn your braking points?
@@nintense5317 it's a videogame. Not worth the time investing if you'll be driving over 40 classes of cars with different braking points
