      Dear Viking and bowyer friends
My book "Bows & Arrows of the Vikings" was released in the summer of 2019. The book has been sold to 15 different countries, and I’m a happy man. 😇
The book is in Hardcover. It has 224 pages, 250 illustrations and 60 Photos.
      ISBN 87-89827-72-4
      The price is 195 Danish kroner = € 26 = 29 $ + postage and shipping.
If you are interested in buying the book, you can send an email to
      museum@sydvestjyskemuseer.dk
If you'd like for me to write a small inscription, small passage or personal message I would be more than happy to.
Just inform the museum, when you order it.
I've made this little video, so you can have a look at the book.
If it has any interest to you as a Christmas present, please share it with your Viking or bowyer friends.

Nice! Did the Vikings use recurve bows? I've seen viking thumb rings, rare however

      Thanks. 😊
Perhaps a few Vikings brought some “Strange” bows back from Miklagaard. In Birka there have been excavated finds, looking like something from quivers

Do you have some notes or books with the thumb rings. I’m very interested in this

@@danhj2460 Birka as you know being the trading village and how Vikings raided around the world and knew about the composite re-curve bow and thumb rings eventually took the idea and some rare founds i saw pictures of archaeological findings of thumb ring with viking engravings and such. I can link you whatever info i found if you want, on your gmail? But like i said, it was rare, they just knew about it.
And it makes sense, just like how we know all the things from internet, they knew it by visiting and from travelers and from their massive knowledge in Birka from traders all over. People who went from the silk road all the way to eventually Birka.
I'm making viking style arrows myself and i've gained a lot of knowledge from your videos which i appreciate :)
