Beautiful, interesting and original kit. Those yellow stripes on the camouflage make a good work and change the general appearance of the scheme a great deal.
Excellent work, Rob. The Flying Barrel is a cool looking jet. I think I did this same plane a year or so ago. I like the unusual camo scheme with the UN plane. Top shelf....top quality build my friend.

Thank you, W.. The Tunnan is indeed a cool aircraft and considering it is of the same era as the MiG-15 and the Sabre, it has earned its place in history.. :)

Lovely, i like the unusual camouflage and the insignia. The Wedish crowns would look awesome on this plane, too! Too bad that the kit by Hobby Boss does not seem to be an accurate representation of the real thing, but i would not have noticed :)
Yes, there are a few flaws with the kit, the main one is the size, as it is a bit smaller than 1/48.. But I wanted to build a Tunnan and as I have already done quite a few of the Heller / Airfix kit in 1/72, I wanted something different. To me it looks like a Tunnan, as good as.. I haven't counted the rivets! 😉

Great build of a plane that doesn't already have 10,000 youtube videos about it! (Bf-109😝) I had (🗑️) a A-7 Corsair II by Hobby Boss, and they really messed up on the shape of the front of the aircraft as well. It's almost as if they have a bias against non- communist Chinese aircraft! 😜
Yes, it makes you wonder, sometimes.. But I enjoy the HobbyBoss kits, warts and all.. I hope the HobbyBoss Strv. 122 I bought for the Nordic Power' group build will be without too many mistakes, I haven't really heard anything bad about it..
Hmmm....somewhere back in my mind I seem to remember seeing one of those in my stash. I am suddenly a bit eager to find it. This might be a contender for that group build you were talking about earlier. I love the build and as usual I can't quite understand how you get stuff done with brushes... Beautiful!
To be honest I don't know how I get it done either, half the time.. But yes, a Tunnan would fit very nicely with the 'Nordic Power' group build, starting on the 15th of September.. :) I have too many kits to chose from, but I hope to build a Norwegain F-16, a Danish SuperSabre, a Finnish Tank and / or Fouga Magister... and a few Drakens, plus a Strv.122 and maybe a couple of 103 C's.. :) Time allowing.. but it will only be on for 3 months, and I can't extend because of Christmas.. :)
@@BasicModelling Wow! That is a seriously ambitious build schedule. I think that 3 months is what I need to build ONE kit🤣.
@@pkmodeling Not saying I will or can build them all, but I want to do the Norwegian Falcon and the Danish Supersabre and the Finnish Tank.. and I really want to do a Model 2000 (Hasegawa) / Heller 1/72 Saab Sk35 C conversion. I may have a few nights with little sleep ahead of me.. ;) And the Strv.122 would be nice too, especially as I did buy the kit for the group build in mind..

@@pkmodeling Oh, definitely the target tug.. Every Sven, Bengt och Birgitta have built a Tunnan, but not many have built a Svensk Flygtjänst Skyraider. Just found a video on here, turns out it is yours.. Oh well, not everyone has built a Svensk Flygtjänst Skyraider in 1/48, then.. ;)
Looks good. I'm not put off by inaccuracies in the kit. I like the camo too. Too bad the UN decals aren't more opaque, or is that prototypical?
Thank you... and yes, I agree, the decals could have been slightly less transparent, but I guess that is down to whoever printed the decal sheet. Not ideal, but it is what it is.. :)
Riktigt snygg Tunna Robert! Ser bra ut även om den inte har helt korrekt form👌🙂 förresten har ni varmt nu igen? Här är det runt ca 28-29 grader celsius efter en ganska kall och regnig juli månad. Ha fortsatt trevlig helg 🇸🇪🇬🇧🙂
Tack.. och jo, det ar fortfarande varmt. Vi hade regn haromdagen, men det belv bara varmare och annu fuktigare i luften, sa det hjalpte inte. Hade varit battre utan.. :) Jag laddade upp min Panzer II bygg video igar, omn du vill ta en titt pa den, efterssom du are stridsvagnsbyggare... alltid tacksam for tips och omdomen.. :)
