Website says:
Smoothie is for type 2 hair
Jelly is for type 3 hair
Butter is for type 4 hair
a little research always goes a long way right ? Thanks for that. I wonder if the ingredients are CGA ? I'll have to check that out.
Yes! Always research prior to using anything.
I didn't know that. Thanks for info.
Suec76 I think they are actually
I figured the butter was for type 4 hair, but I have type 2 hair and I was interested in trying the jelly. Not enough hold for my hair to use alone, but as a refresher with some water, I wonder if it would work. If the smoothie is like the Shea Moisture Curl Enhancing Smoothie, I'm concerned it would be too heavy for my hair.
Garnier is just starting to figure out textured hair and what it needs. They did a great start!!
Frances Keller yep!
The frizz in your hair isn't bad. It came out really pretty as usual. Thanks for your video. Happy New Year.
I just don’t understand why they say that it’s for “normal hair”🧐
Mayra Mayra they are referring to the thickness of your hair strand!
Course is the thickest and one single strand can usually easily be seen by the human eye.
Fine is the thinnest and one single strand is usually difficult to see and strains the eye.
Normal refers to the middle ground between them. Hair strands are not super thick but not super thin.
not baby fine or coarse
Mayra Mayra for curly normal hair
Been following you on IG since I began my transition! Your hair is beautiful! Great videos 😊
I am with you 100%. I like the way it looked after I did it but I hate the way it feels. I didn't cocktail all three either. I just tried the smoothie. It feels so sticky like there's a film on it or something. I will also be washing tomorrow.
Love your videos girl. You forever changed the way I do my hair!
I love the smoothie and the jelly together.... I have type 3b/c hair, low porosity..... I used a light leave in first and I got BOMB results... hold, definition and moisture without feeling prodcuty.....
I refreshed with the jelly, and it turned out great!!
I just tried these last week... I used just the butter and the jelly and my braid out came out pretty nice and felt really good. I was surprised... so I would say try either just one of the “creams” with the jelly and see how it turns out
Your hair looks so gorgeous!!! I love this product 💋💋💋💋😍😍😍😍😘😘😘😘💕💕💕💕
thank god i found this video ! We seem to have similar hair types. Today I tried the smoothie and jelly and so far just a tiny bit of frizz. Can't wait for the days to come :)
Hiiii I just bought the smoothie yesterday and just that yes it feels like pasty chalky residue if that makes sense lolol but it does gives amazing definition and volume on day 1 compared to shae mositure although nothin compares to shae mositure Today is my day 2 of refreshing my curls so I’m going to try it with some gel and maybe more water just to keep playing around with the product
The way u brush each section and shake is interesting... gonna have to try it
Love your curls! I will have to try😀!
The product is not bad ..it was u ...putting them all together....
LILLY A I agree. I think each one was for a different hair type and you only need one.
Hi. Have you tried the L.U.S. Brands line? I just received mine in the mail and am excited to use it. I've been watching all the how-to videos so I can follow directions to the tee.
I tried the hydrating butter and the defining custard together with an eco styling gel (because I wanted more hold). On the first two days I did really like how my hair turned out. I had the volume, moisture and the definition. While my hair did feel moisturized, in the beginning, my hair felt like I did have product sitting on top of my hair as well. As the days went on and my hair began to dry out I used the moisture butter to re-moisturize my hair to put in a bun. I’m not sure what was going on, but I had a difficult time trying to get moisture back in my hair using the butter and I never have this issue with any other products. I’m not going to give on these products just yet, I want to play around with them a little more and figure out what’s best for me. I don’t think I’m going to try the custard gel stuff from this line though.
What are the results?
What temp do you diffuse your hair on? High heat/cool shot ??? There’s minimal frizz! Gorgeous curls!
Normal is in between fine and course
Then they should call it medium
@@cateyes2103 do i look like i made up the term? Go find who ever did and tell them
@@hshsidieahsbd7242 Idk why I'm just now seeing this bullshit ass reply. No one said you made up the term. I said "they".
Just use one cream with the jelly...you don't need all 3. I used the smoothie & jelly and had great results! You don't need a lot of the jelly either..a little can go a long way
Amanda Feliciano ive been waiting for your official review on IG lol
I just bought the Butter and I already have a jelly product. So fingers crossed my curls turn out well.
i bought the jelly for 6.99. unbelievable product that works like miss jessie's pillow soft curls which is like $24. awesome for anyone on a tight budget.
Thw Jelly is for all hair types, because it's the styling product. The other two are for conditioning reasons , thin hair need something lighter , whereas thick something heavier. That's why it said for thin to normal and for normal to thick hair. Btw I love your curls 😍
I love your results but I understand what you're saying about now liking how your hair feels!! Do these products smell like the Garnier avocado 3 minute mask? The packaging looks the same & the avocado was my favorite one. I plan to try these, but I'll take your advice & try 1 product at a time. I noticed in the beginning of the video your were using your tangle teaser then you switched to the denman brush. Was there a specific reason for you doing so?
I used the butter and the jelly and had A GREAT wash and go with a few days after
I have used a little while ago the smooth defining cream and so far I like it a lot, but no, all three together is too much. I think one alone it's good and it's rich and creamy. And I used Diva Ultra defining gel on top of the smooth defining. I'll check back in later :) Your hair is gorgeous!
Omg I love her hair 😩 wish mine was that curly
Will you do an eyebrow tutorials please? Your curls are just pretty no matter the product
Just a heads up for my CGM girls, the butter and smoothie are not CG safe, only the Jelly is! 😊
Thanks girl
Thanks!! 👍👍
It is not CG safe because the smoothie and the butter have beeswax but the jelly doesn't
@Janiya Gowdy they're actually really good and hydrating products, I have the smoothie and It's really good
If you use the sleek and shine serum when your hair is dry it makes it feel less sticky and stuff
Your curls are perfect!
My princess has a lot of beautiful curls but I don’t know how to maintain it every time I comb her hair she says I’m pulling her hair I always have her with braids and on the weekend I put her hair down but I’m not sure if I should use this on her hair because she’s 5 any suggestions?
Hey beautiful I have a question. Do you wet your hair every day and do you put products on your hair everyday because I Hurd that wetting your hair everyday is not good
New subbie! That's how Mixed Chicks made my hair feel, like not hard but course/product-e and i don't like that, had to wash the next day. I like my hair to feel soft and touchable and bouncy.
Were there any instructions for use on the labels?
Thank you! Love your videos! ❤
I hace 4a, normally I use gel. I can see it is for coarse hair. IT define?
It's not just if you use all three products. I used one, and got the same dirty hair feel. My curls are between 2C and 3A. I have Italian heritage and coarse hair. I used the fructis for curl styling butter -- hydrating for coarse hair. My hair is thick, and even individual strands are thicker than average. I tried it on washed and unwashed hair. It felt heavy for me on day of shampoo and one day after. I tried different amounts--realizing it's only supposed to use a little. I have long hair--to top of my butt. For my hair type I prefer off the shelf Suave mousse "Max Hold"--which also has glycerin, but doesn't seem to give my hair the product build up feel the first day I use it. It's much lighter--still does crunchy curls, but then they feel loose and soft.
I just want to thank you Fran for your time and money spent researching I surely and greatly appreciate you. I spent a lot of money on my day on hair products now I am left still without a favorite product and now you young girls who spend the time and money researching and posting your experiences for the rest of us is a blessing so again I thank you Fran and may Our Holy Father in heaven Yahweh send you many blessings in Jesus name Amen!!!
Will you do a make up video? Your skin is beautiful.
I tried them individually and all of them made my hair feel sticky and like it was too much product, had to wash my hair afterwards. But the butter worked gr8 for braid outs n didn't leave my hair feeling yucky
does anyone know, if these products are cgm approved? Thanks for answers :)
I never took something out of my cart so fast thanks for your review!
Have you ever tried Honey Baby hair products?
The term “normal” for medium density hair is so dated.
So because someone is naturally born with thin or thick hair, that makes them not normal?
Brit Ferguson no it’s means it can normally be seen by the eye whereas with thin hair rarely can’t (one strand I mean) and thick course hair you will definitely see it
Me pasó lo mismo con el butter me gusta la definición pero no como se siente
The density of hair (thin to thick) in conjunction with it's texture (fine to coarse) AS WELL as its porosity (low to high) all make a huge difference in the types of products. It will always be an experimental process for each curly girl because not every single curly has the exact same density, texture, and porosity. If you don't know these things about your hair you can go to naturallycurly.com and they have fairly accurate quizzes that can tell you and also give decent product-type selections based on your results.
I tried the smoothie defining treat and it left my hair tacky
Can you try the Is not your mother curlytalk products?
Your beautiful but what is normal . I'm a 4c type hair . I have to use products that have a lot of slip. My texture is totally different . But I thank god for the info I'll try it thanks
do you plan on trying any soultanicals deep conditioners ?
I got two of these products from Influenster. I have yet to use them. I’m going to try it in a twist out. Your hair looks great after using them though
Destiny Price I got them from Influenster too. I love the smoothie for me and my daughter
You are so beautiful and one of my favourite channels 😍😍😍
gorgeous curls
Wow,,you have such nice curls 😍💯
U look beautiful, and I like u r eyebrow can u tell me what u put it on it
Normal in this case means between fine and coarse. My hair is mostly fine but some normal/medium.
How long did it take to grow your hair
I like products labeled Fine, Medium, Coarse as products don't know hair types. It's about hair porosity. It determines how well products penetrate hair. Porosity test can be done with placing stands in water, or running your fingers up a strand. I have a mix, but have mainly thick fine to medium hair. Coarse hair products will b to much for my hair.
It came out nice and I also do the braid across too lol
Gorgeous hair!
can you try just the curl jelly by itself?
I love this video and would totally use garnier if it didn’t completely dry my hair out 😭😭😭😭😭
I have baby fine hair I would use the last product because it should not weigh down my hair. If I used all those products my hair would clump together and lay down
What cream you use can u please tell me
I'm late lol....my hair is super porous. I mix it with my whole blends conditioner. It is too heavy I agree. I use a small amount & mix it with water for a paste. I like it for my ends🤷🏽♀️ I don't like to waste things I buy lol
Your make up is fire 🔥🔥🔥
Great results love the wash and go
I love your curly hair tutorials. Your hair be so cute and curly and bouncy. Lol.
Yes I tried the product and I also had the same nasty feeling in my hair . All I used was the butter .
Same.
nice technique to refresh my hair
Curls look really nice. Hair looked like it had so much volume. Btw...where did you purchase your water spray bottle?
You can get the water bottle at Sallys
Meu Deus , q cabelo perfeito! Linda 😍🇧🇷
I received them in my influenster box, and I plan on trying their butter and jelly soon. 🤞🏽🤞🏽
I read this as "peanut butter and jelly" O_O
lelechim 😂😂😂
you can use these on straight hair to get curls too
agree! Los use y madre mía sentía el pelo pesado al día siguiente como si hubiera utilizado mil productos juntos luego utilice solo el defining sin gel y fue la misma sensación no me gustaron para nada
Curls still are so pretty! Can you do a review on the Not your mothers curl talk?
Lakia LeGaux NYM Curl Talk line is amazing if I do say so myself. Not heavy nor feels like my hair has too much product in it. The gel and cream are a great combo
I tried the gel and cream each by themselves and together, the cream is light and leaves my hair fluffy but there is no way my hajr would last more than 2 days if i only used the cream. The gel doesnt give much hold... i much prefer the cantu curl activator cream. Together is alright thry do work decent but i still prefer the cantu cream. But my hair dries very fast compared to when i use the cantu.
In Europe that’s very normal.. normal is just not too dry and not oily.. from what you explained I believe is not meant to use butter and smootie just one of them and smootie should be for not to tick hair
Can I just say how pretty you are!! 🥰 beautiful hair!! Your makeup looks beautiful!! 😍🙋🏽♀️
I used this stuff and my hair was soft but it literally turned my hair into dread locks 😂
Beautiful results though!!!!
Isn’t normal hair not too oily or dry? A hairdresser told me mine is normal to fine hair. I thought normal hair means it’s not oily and it’s not too dry.
Your hair always looks nice... I wanted to pick these up but after watching a few review videos I'm like nope not for me.
The sticky feeling could be the wax in the curl butter.
I’m Hispanic and wavy hair, what would be best for me?
The smoothie
Nice curls!
The smoothie is not curl girl friendly because it contains beeswax which causes build up and is hard to remove.
Me gusta esas cremas tengo mí pelo natural rizado
Thanks
Thank you
The first day your hair looks like a wig that I want. Day 2😲😲 why was it so frizzy.
It looks 🔥🔥🔥 though
Meu cabelo parece com o seu mas não consigo deixá-lo tão lindo e solto 😔
Where did you get the products from? Thanks for your video
Caramel Mocha she said Target in the video.
@@shirkerawelch8991 Oh ok LOL. I was half asleep watching her video. Thanks so much
