I'm actually genuinely impressed with the relatively unbiased comparison. I fully expected a video full of why the PM bag isn't as good. But that didn't happen. Kudos to you!
Peter's bag is real solid. I remember watching a reviewer throw one into a river with a laptop in it. The bag was a little beat up, but the computer was still working after its river ride.
It's really awesome that you guys actually say what is better in another product that is not your own. This way I can actually compare the two bags and it's not just an advertisement video. Thank you for not trying to trick your viewers into buying your product.
This looks pretty much the same as my Neewer roller bag (As I think a few people have said). If it is indeed a Neewer one rebranded then it has my praise as mine has been to hell and back and is still operating as it should and keeping my gear secure. When I need a new bag to replace this one, I’ll definitely check out the FTF one as I think some one said it’s a bit cheaper than the Neewer one. Supporting a brand and keeping gear secure and safe is a win/win really.
PGYTECH One Mo bag is a great contender. At $110 it's got everything you described here and flexibility with a small pouch included. No wheels but back strap for carry-on.
I’ve had the Caden one for a couple years and I like it. I don’t have a ton of gear so it works for me. It fits a small mirror less dslr, 3 lenses, a mavic air 2 plus the controller, and there’s still room for batteries and 2 chargers. One thing I like about is that it can fit inside a carry on suitcase for traveling on a plane. So I can still fit some clothes in as well as my disassembled Ronin SC.
I also have the caden one and love it. It's currently holding ny nikon dslr w/18-55 on it, a 70-200, Maco tubes, filters, playing cards, batteries, chargers, a knife, gopro, some gopro accessories, a sunpak tripod, and some folders. I even leave my case logic slrc 206 bag at house a lot and just take the Caden😂
It is basically Neewer 2-in-1 Convertible Wheeled Camera Backpack and funny thing is that I might end up with it actually, because you do not ship to Europe, unfortunately. What I like about the FTF bag is the actual FTF logo. Yeah, does not add any special value, but as a FTF member I'd be carrying it around proudly :-). Anyway, here's the challenge for people who have way too much spare time: can you count how many times Nate has said the word "bag"? Less than 50, between 50 and 100 or more than 50 times? :-)

I think it's crazy that people would consider style, but oh well. I've been using the equivalent FTF bag for a couple years and really love it. It's held up to A LOT of abuse.
When you carry it for hobby, no matter. When you arrive to locations as a paid service, yap, it does matter what kind of impact you make with your appearance. Some humans put more importance on gut feeling and some less. When doing photography as a living, it’s good to take into account. Not saying carrying that FTF bag wouldn’t make a good impression. Just saying that style is not that superficial that it sounds at first.

Great comparison. Ive had the PM bag since it was released. Amazing bag for the few years I've had it. I found this video because I'm looking for a new one. the main zipper on the bad along with a few other ones have broke multiple times. So its time for a new one and I'm loving the FTF bag
Excellent comparrison! Totally appreciate the unbiased comparrison. Zipper Wax will fix the stiff zippers. Water-resistant zippers are typically stiff without zipper wax.
for professional uses I agree that both are great choices. But, I prefer a camera bag that doesn't look like a camera bag so that I can use it as my daily bag or when I'm traveling. For example the Prvke bag from Wandrd. I do not own that bag but it's just perfect for a lot of people who are not going for a professional shoot. Plus, it looks pretty stylish.

Now if you're just beginning, I actually recommend, surprisingly, the Onn DSLR Camera Backpack. I know he said to not trust cheap Camera Bags, and I completely understand that. It's best if you don't bring much gear with you like in a fun travel setting, but I am able to fit a Hard Plastic SD Card Case, Two Battery Chargers, Two Cameras (One DSLR and One Mirrorless), 4 Lenses, a Rode VideoMicro, ND Filter, DJI Ronin SC, Manfrotto Pixi Tripod, Vertical Adapter, and a 1TB Hard Drive. I'm happy with it, and it makes a good starting up bag. But as he said, if you start getting more serious with Video Work, DEFINATELY buy the more expensive Camera bag. I personally own the Caden bag. I like it. I understand it's not the best, but I have a Case Logic SLRC 206, and I just prefer to use the smaller Caden on the daily and the bigger case logic one for storage in my house. Because I have a big and clumsy family and don't trust my gear on shelves, and the Caden just seems like the best size for an edc camera bag. I'm not a pro, this is just my opinion. Edit: He must've got a bad one from the factory, cause the zippers don't give out on my Caden backpack and I made it comfortably through TSA in the Salt Lake, and Houston Airports. As far as durability, I haven't thrown it off a cliff or anything, but it's worked well for me so far.

The scruffy appearance of the Nomatic bag is not deliberate attempt to make it look bad against a shiny, new FTF bag. It simply shows that the reviewer knows the bag inside and out and has seriously put it to the test.

To be honest I just use an old rucksack that I had because it has plenty of storage for my ronin although after watching this you might have persuaded me to buy the FTF bag.
Did you intentionally make the backdrop look like Peter McKinnon’s?
Curious how another bag like the Peak Design Travel Backpack (45L) compares. Price is $100 less than PM bag, and it looks pretty nice.
It’s great. Dunna compared them.
Another awesome video as always
Just ordered the FTF. It’s always hard to find the right bag for a nominal price, the Nomatic bag I feel wouldn’t work for me in both price and functionality.
Great video and I was expecting it to be biased. Would this bag be considered carryon or will it have to be checked in?
@ᴛᵉˡᵉᵍʳᵃᵐ ᵐᵉ👉Parker_005 hola what did I wiwn
Just keep on learning that's the key of success
Oh my gosh!!! Im so buying this!!!😃
FTF is the one I would choose and price point is about right, I own Manfrotto bags and backpacks...
Can you stand the rf 70-200 up in the FTF bag?
I need a Red Komodo review. I can't make a decision, please I would love to see it from you guys.
Great comparison! I got greatvalue out of this video. I would like the water-resistent durable PM bag, but the Wheels are very cool on the FTF bag, maybe both and stack the PM bag ontop of the FTF bag on wheels would be cool?
I'm sold on the FTF!
the price is so good ! 159$ 🔥
I just got this bag - Is there a way to fit my gimbal (weebil 2) inside?
Anywhere to buy the FTF bag for shipping to the UK?
The other bag you compare with never heard of them.... However i found a bag finally under $200 pyg, but i got BESNFOTO because of features....
Hopefully its still available cuz i wanted a black and wasn't available i op for the green
I have edited myself into movies and TV shows using some of your advice, tips and tricks so thanks!!!
The scruffy appearance of the Nomatic bag is not deliberate attempt to make it look bad against a shiny, new FTF bag. It simply shows that the reviewer knows the bag inside and out and has seriously put it to the test.
What is the camera and lens that you use for your videos?
Hii, is the 50% off sale still available ?? Please let me know i wanna buy
Always the best 😍
Is the ftd gear camera avaliable in europe?
Are you shooting this in peter’s room ??
Nice review. Now please consider the NYA-EVO Fjord 36 Camera Backpack. This is an underrated high quality camera backpack and i'd love to see you do a review on that
does the FTF bag have a waist strap?
