This is a great piece of theatre as well as a lovely song and music. I can watch it over and over again. What a pity that we can not get a recording of Lucilla Galeazzi singing this song, in the UK.....so much emotion and character in the singing and playing.Always makes me smile. A great lift. Chris

Il Musicista che suona il cornetto lo fa con la stessa libertà e bravura con cui Louis Armstrong suonava la sua tromba.

sorry for answering so lately. Turlurù is like saying "marameo", it's a childish word to mock people. Turlurù, the goat is dead, you will not treat me as a baby, maybe God himself could do it, but actually he doesn't care about me neither. I loved you for so many years and served you loyally but you can understand clearly that "idiomatic phrase to say the waiting time is ended". You have done some plans without me but you didn't say them at first, you say I'm a fool, and I am a fool actually, because of my faith. I would never thought that an angel would not heard my prayers, and still now I repeat them and say them, but you have "merchant ears" (you don't listen at all), So please don't share with me your evil considerations, I will not mocked again, stay with God 'cause I'm going away!"

Per me é quasi più comprensibile la tua traduzione in inglese che il testo cantato da Lucilla, con cui ho avuto l'onore di suonare insieme in uno spettacolo con Ascanio Celestini.
      Grazie della traduzione.

      Turlurù...
      ITALIANO
      Turlurù, non capisco più nulla1
Non mi farai passare per scemo
      Questo può farlo solo Dio
Che di me non ha più bisogno
      Turlurù...
Ti ho amata per tanti anni
      E fedelmente ti ho servita
      Ma comprendo con chiarezza
Che ho perso tempo e stracciato i miei panni
      Turlurù...
Hai fatto sempre i conti con i fatti miei
Anche se non lo ammettevi mai
Perciò credi che sia io il matto...
Credilo pure: io seguo il mio destino
      Turlurù...

northern italy dialects were heavily shaped by german tribes laguages since the 4th century ...

    • @micheleabate146
      @micheleabate146 7 лет назад

There are no german words in this song ( i speake both italian and german language ). People in northern italy use to speak gallo-italic dialects. Gallo- derived from an old tribe originary stationated into the french border, so the northern italian dialect are very close to french language. +++ Some utterly small german derived dialects speaking minorities still exist on the italian territory near the border to french, swiss, austria, and slowenia, with only exception of the South Tyrol/Trentino-Alto Adige region (a small part of the italian territory once part of the Austro-Ungarian Empire). In this special italian region standard german language holds official status together with italian. ------ I don't know why certain people feel the need to tell bullshit to the world, if you don't know about a specific matter, don't comment on it. German derived words are rarely present in standard italian and in the northern dialects.
